Phanaeini comprises about 160 species in 12 genera restricted to the Americas. Since the diversity of this tribe remains little known in several regions of Brazil, this study presents a guide to its 13 species with presence in the biologically rich and largely unexplored state of Roraima: Coprophanaeus (Coprophanaeus) abas (MacLeay, 1819), C. (C.) dardanus (MacLeay, 1819), C. (C.) gameziArnaud, 2002, C. (C.) jasius (Olivier, 1789), C. (Megaphanaeus) lancifer (Linnaeus, 1767), Oxysternon (Oxysternon) conspicillatum conspicillatum Werber, 1801, O. (O.) durantoniArnaud, 1984, O. (O.) ebeninum (Nevinson, 1890), O. (O.) festivum viridanum (Olsoufieff, 1924), O. (O.) silenus chicheryiArnaud, 2001, Phanaeus (Notiophanaeus) bispinusBates, 1868, P. (N.) bordoniArnaud, 1996 (first record from Brazil), and Sulcophanaeus faunus (Fabricius, 1775). The species of Dendropaemon were not considered herein because the genus is presently under taxonomic revision.

The selenocosmiine genus Coremiocnemis Simon 1892 is revised for the first time with six new species included. Five new species are from West Malaysia: C. brachyramosa sp. nov. from Gunung Ledang, Johor; C. gnathospina sp. nov. and C. hoggi sp. nov. from Fraser’s Hill, Selangor; C. jeremyhuffi sp. nov. from Tapah, Perak, Fraser’s Hill, Selangor to Pahang and C. obscura sp. nov. from Taiping, Perak to Cameron Highlands, Pahang. C. kotacana sp. nov. is described from Aceh Teneggara, Sumatra, being the first record of this genus outside Malaysia or Australia. A lectotype and paralectotype are designated for C. cunicularia (Simon 1892). All but two of Abraham’s non-type C. valida Pocock 1895 (Abraham 1924) specimens held in both the NHM and RMBR are newly transferred to C. cunicularia. Abraham’s two remaining specimens are removed from Coremiocnemis. C. valida is redescribed, its former dubious locality is resolved. Zoogeographic considerations of all species are discussed and resolved. Ontogenetic variation within Coremiocnemis is discussed. Several new characters are introduced. Subfamilial relationships with proposed sister genera Selenocosmia Ausserer 1871 and Lyrognathus Pocock 1895 are discussed. A key to species is provided.

The genus Hoplonannus McAtee & Malloch, 1925 is composed of H. brunneus, H. paenebrunneus, H. craneae, and H. australis, all previously recorded from Central and South America. In this paper, we describe Hoplonannus bifidus sp.n. and Hoplonannus robustus sp.n. based on several specimens collected in the Brazilian Amazon, representing the first record of the genus from northern Brazil. We provide diagnoses, photographs of habitus, scanning electron micrographs of male genitalia, and illustrations of female genitalia. A key to species based on males of Hoplonannus is also presented.

Herein two new species of the genusSyngastesMonard, 1924 are described from South Korea, with detailed descriptions and illustrations. Both new copepods,Syngastesmulticavussp. nov. andS. pseudofoveatussp. nov., have two inner setae on the first exopodal segment of P2 and P3.Syngastesmulticavussp. nov. most closely resemblesS. gibbosusBartsch, 1999 reported from Australia, as they both have a five-segmented antennule in the female. However,Syngastesmulticavussp. nov. has a rounded body outline instead of the gibbose outline observed inS. gibbosus.Syngastespseudofoveatussp. nov. resemblesS. foveatusBartsch, 1994 in almost all aspects. However, they differ clearly in the number of setae on the first exopodal segment of P2 and P3. We also provide a key to species of the genusSyngastesworldwide. The present study is the first record of the family Tegastidae in Korean waters.

The genus Yalvaciana Ciplak et.al (2002) is reported for the first time from India represented by a new species. Previously the genus comprised a single species, Yalvaciana yalvaci Demirsoy, (1974). Brief information about morphology, distribution and key to species are given. The Holotype has been deposited in the Museum of Zoology Department, AMU (ZDAMU).

The genus Alstonia R. Br. is revised for Australia. Six species are recognised, namely A. actinophylla (A. Cunn.) Schurnann, A. constricta F. Muell., A. linearis Benth., A. muelleriana Domin, A. scholaris (L.) R. Br. and A. spectabilis R. Br. Two subspecies are recognised for A. spectabilis, with A. ophioxyloides F. Muell. being reduced to subspecific status. A. muelleriana is lectotypified. Generic and specific descriptions, a key to species; notes on variation, distribution, habitat and conservation status are provided. Ethnobotanical use in Australia and adjacent Papuasia is briefly reviewed.
