GREEN EAR YIELD OF COMMERCIAL CULTIVARS OF CORN IN FUNCTIONOF NPK SOWING FERTILIZER APPLICATION ABSTRACT - The consumption for the maize “in nature” is more profitable for small farmers due to lower cycle and higher market value. Thus, this study aimed to evaluate the quality of green corn on the cob and gross revenue due to the NPK seeding fertilization for three cultivars of corn. The experiment was conducted at the Centro de Ciências Agrárias e da Biodiversidade (CCAB), the Universidade Federal do Cariri, in Crato, State of Ceará, Brazil. The experimental design was randomized blocks in a 3x2 factorial arrangement, the maize cultivars were the first factor (variety “Aurora”, transgenic AGN 20A55, and hybrid sweet corn Itapuã 700) and the second factor was the seeding fertilization (with and without), with three replications. All data were subjected to variance analysis and comparison test averages of Tukey (p<0,05). Plants were harvested at 75 days after sowing (DAS) for the transgenic and sweet corns, while for the variety harvest was held at 90 DAS. The survey results showed that the NPK foundation fertilization is essential for obtaining quality corn green ears and higher revenues, with the transgenic and sweet corn presenting higher results than the variety. Keywords: Zea mays, transgenic, sweet corn, landrace maize.

Subject. The study deals with heuristics as measures of the emotional impact of people who judge about the value and the final result of the valuation. I review ranges of the value variance when influenced by irrational factors. From psychological perspectives, some phenomena are explained with a set of heuristics that exist as part of behavioral finance. Objectives. Referring to the completed studies, I implement elements of behavioral finance, such as heuristics into the method for assessing how financial decision-makers and their emotions influence the value. Methods. The article is based on methods of induction and deduction to process survey results. Results. The article reveals the content of key methods for measuring emotions of financial decision-maker, which conclude on the value, being influenced by heuristics. I demonstrate tools for implementing psychological measurement methods as part of valuation. Conclusions and Relevance. Considering heuristics of value decision-makers, the appraiser and the cost analyst approximate the valuation result to the real conditions, when market actors are irrational. Doing so, they contribute to the quality of the result of appraisal. The findings are applicable to the practice of appraisers, cost analysts, fundamental analysts. Heuristics enrich and expands the classical apparatus of valuation and increases its quality.

ABSTRACT: Corn and sorghum are standard silage crops because of their fermentative characteristics. While corn and sorghum silages have lower crude protein (CP) contents than other crops, intercropping with legumes can increase CP content. Furthermore, one way to increase CP content is the addition of legumes to silage. Consequently, the research objective was to evaluate the fermentative and bromatological characteristics of corn (Zea mays) and sorghum (Sorghum bicolor) silages added with forage peanuts (Arachis pintoi). The experimental design was completely randomized with four replicates. The treatments consisted of corn silage, sorghum silage, forage peanut silage, corn silage with 30% forage peanut, and sorghum silage with 30% forage peanut. The results showed that the corn and sorghum added with peanut helped to improve the silage fermentative and bromatological characteristics, proving to be an efficient technique for silage quality. The forage peanut silage had lower fermentative characteristics than the corn and sorghum silages. However, the forage peanut silage had a greater CP content, which increased the protein contents of the corn and sorghum silages when intercropped with forage peanuts.

The fungicides belonging to the chemical groups of strobilurins and triazoles have their contribution to increase the productivity of the crop by a phytotoxic effect. The objective of this study was to evaluate the effects of fungicides at different times on the quality and quality of the spikes. The experiment was conducted at the Universidade do Estado de Minas Gerais and the experimental design was in randomized blocks, with 4 replicates, factorial factorial 3 × 3 + 1, the first factor being composed of 3 combinations of fungicides and the 2 applications (49, 56 and 63 days after sowing-DAS) + 1 witness. The lot was composed of 4 rows spaced 0.45 m and the harvest was done manually at 83 DAS. The height of the plant, the height and the diameter of the glue in the first ear, total mass of ears with and without straw, grain mass per ear, length and diameter of the ears and productivity were evaluated. The data were analyzed by variance and as means compared by the Tukey test. The height of a plant was significantly affected throughout its life in the treatments at 63 days. The series were concentrated by the treatments are a non-spike mass, grain mass per spike and productivity, and pressure levels were loaded when they were performed at 63 DAS.

The use of genotypes more adapted to climatic conditions can contribute to increase the yield of onion producers. The goal of this study was to evaluate the agronomic performance of 15 onion genotypes in the soil and climatic conditions of Guarapuava, state of Paraná. The study was conducted in the experimental area of Horticulture, Cedeteg campus, Universidade Estadual do Centro-Oeste (UNICENTRO), Guarapuava, state of Paraná, Brazil, from July to November 2018. The experimental design used was randomized blocks, with four replications, and the treatments consisted of four commercial cultivars Optima F1, Bella Dura, Sirius F1, Soberana F1 and eleven experimental genotypes N1, N2, N3, N4, N5, N6, N7, N8, N9, AF4241 and AF4243. Biometric characteristics of the plants, production components and early flowering were evaluated. Plants presented between 6 and 9 leaves, in which N1, N3, N4 and N6 had less than 7 leaves, differing statistically from the others. The cultivar Optima F1 and the genotypes N2, N3, N5, N6, N7 and N8 presented the tallest plants, with 66.1 to 76.0 cm. The pseudostem diameter did not differ significantly between genotypes, showing values between 15.2 and 20.4 mm. Total productivity was higher in genotypes N2, N6, N5, N4, N3, N7 with values from 43.6 to 50.3 t ha-1. The highest average bulb mass was found in N2, N4, N6, Sirius F1, Optima F1 and Soberana F1, with 74.2 to 91.1 g bulb-1. Regarding the commercial classification, the genotypes N2, N4, N5, N6 and the cultivars Sirius F1 and Soberana F1 presented more than 50% bulbs of classes 3+3C+4. Early flowering did not occur in any of the analyzed genotypes. The use of cultivars with high productive performance and adapted to climatic conditions, when handled properly, can result in greater yield and quality of bulbs.
