Companies have reoriented their actions in contributing towards the attainment of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The SDGs enhances the reputation of enterprises and builds confidence in their stakeholders. People's confidence toward the company generates favorable attitudes and behaviors. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to identify the level of contribution of cement companies to achieve Sustainable Development Goals and its effect on the trust of its local communities. In achieving the purpose of this work, we study the perception of people about the actions that the company makes in favor of sustainable development. The study variables correspond to 9 of 17 SDGs classified into two categories (people and environment). The nine variables are compared with confidence. Data are also analyzed with statistical standardization and chi-square tools. The results show that only 40% of the actions carried out by the company contribute to the achievement of the SDGs. However, there is no significant relationship between the population's confidence in the company and the actions that the firm makes in favor of sustainable development.

Abstract Health is part of the Sustainable Development Agenda adopted by the United Nations and local communities have an important role in the definition of their own development needs and in the discussion of the post-2015 Sustainable Development Goals. A field survey using a validated questionnaire was applied to 336 extremely poor households in a Brazilian municipality. The survey was a cross-sectional and observational study and included interviews with healthcare professionals and social workers. Drug/alcohol abuse was pointed as the major problem to obtain improvements in quality of life. The prevalence of disability was 14%. A reduction in rates of deaths caused by crimes and prevention of disabilities should be included as health targets under the SDGs.

This paper aims to analyze the water, sanitation, and malnutrition situation in Pakistan and to evaluate the sustainable development goals situation. To find the association, this study applies a chi-square test utilizing a sample of 3,575 children of age less than five years, extracted from the data of Pakistan Demographic and Health Survey (PDHS) 2017-18. The results of chi-square show that underweight and stunting have a significant association with water and sanitation in Pakistan. Pakistan's progress in sustainable development goals is yet slow, especially targets of goal 3 and goal 6, which are far behind other countries of the region. The study concludes that there is a need to allocate more resources in programs such as water, sanitation, nutrition, and poverty reduction to uplift the socio-economic standard of the common folk.
