The Structure and Properties of Polymeric Materials.

The paper presents the results of the study of the creation of new hetero-composite casting polymer materials and coatings from them. The effect of ambient temperature on microhardness and impact strength of polymer coatings is studied. It has been found that treatment of the polymer composition with solar radiation is an effective way of controlling the curing reaction, saving energy in the preparation of high viscosity epoxy compositions, which is important for their practical implementation in the industry for process equipment and products operating under conditions of corrosive hydroabrasive wear.

In this paper the application of laser cutting methods for polymeric materials working is under consideration. The authors analyze the laser beam effect upon polymers reasoning from the peculiarities of their structure and properties. The methods to eliminate defects at polymer laser cutting, the methods to increase the interaction effectiveness of radiation with material, process quality are offered. To determine the dependences of a cut width and a value of flash formed at the beam input and its output of material worked there were carried out experiments at different rates and constant capacity of CO2-laser. According the results of the researches carried out the optimum working modes were established.

The main properties of copolycarbonates on the basis of bisphenols of 1,1-dichloro-2,2-di (4-hydroxy-phenyl) ethylene (S-2), 1,1-dichloro-2,2-di (3,5-dibromo-4-hydroxy-phenyl) ethylene (TB-S-2) and dichlorformiate 4,4'-isopropylidenediphenol are synthesized and studied. Regularities of synthesis of copolymers are determined by method of acceptor and catalytic polyfunctional condensation. The interconnection between their composition, structure and properties is also established. It was shown that copolycarbonates exhibited a high softening point and high heat and flame resistance. The existence of the raw material base for the production of the initial monomers, the improved service properties of copolyesters based on them, and the high technological effectiveness of the proposed synthesis method enabled the copolycarbonates to be regarded as industrially promising polymeric materials.
