Based on experience and analysis of a few articles, devoted to this topic, the authors diagnose and describe the clinical case of the rare symptoms' group, associated with taking of hydroxychloroquine by the patient with sarcoidosis and diabetes type 1. The diagnostics of this lesion is difficult problem in the regular ophthalmologic practice, because of the uncommon disease, the lack of information and continuity between specialists, especially rheumatologists and pulmonologists. The recommendations of American Academy of Ophthalmology for effective screening of patients undergoing hydroxychloroquine therapy are given in this report.

A clinical case of the development of a rare form of ocular manifestation of acute lymphoblastic leukemia, one of the most common oncological diseases in childhood, is described. A seven-year-old child initially had weakness, decreased appetite, and a single episode of subfebrile condition for two days without catarrhal symptoms. Further, an increase in the cervical lymph nodes was noticed. Then a hemorrhagic rash appeared all over the body. In the complete blood count (CBC) test: erythrocytes (RBC) – 3.8 * 1012 / l, hemoglobin (HGB) – 115 g/L, leukocytes (WBC) – 121*109/L, platelets (PLT) – 22*109/L. The child was admitted to the regional children’s clinical hospital. On examination, 90% of blast cells were detected in the myelogram. Against the background of a confirmed remission of the oncological disease, iridocyclitis of the left eye was diagnosed. It could not be stopped by standard antibacterial and antiinflammatory therapy. After a while, the right eye was also involved in the pathological process. Hematologists confirmed the recurrence of acute lymphoblastic leukemia after bone marrow puncture. The presented clinical case demonstrates the fact that the treatment of ocular manifestations of acute lymphoblastic leukemia can be effective only in the treatment of the underlying disease.

This article was designed to report the clinical case of ocular echinococcosis in a child. The patient was characterized by ptosis, oedema of the periorbital tissues, exophthalmos, displacement of the eye bulb, its abnormal movements in all directions, strabismus, pain, and orbital cysts. Rehabilitation of the child with ocular echinococcosis included transcutaneous orbitotomy with the excision of the echinococcal cyst from the orbit.

Donnai-Barrow syndrome is an autosomal recessive disease due to mutations in the LRP2 gene described by Donnai and Barrow in 1993. We report through this clinical case the various ophthalmologic and extraocular manifestations of Donnai Barrow syndrome which remains a very rare congenital malformation. High myopia is a risk factor for severe amblyopia and/or retinal detachment which requires a regular monitoring. The management of this disabling disease is multidisciplinary, involving the ophthalmologist, the otorhinolaryngologist, the pediatrician and the psychiatrist.

Summary: We review the rationale for behavioral clinical case formulations and emphasize the role of the functional analysis in the design of individualized treatments. Standardized treatments may not be optimally effective for clients who have multiple behavior problems. These problems can affect each other in complex ways and each behavior problem can be influenced by multiple, interacting causal variables. The mechanisms of action of standardized treatments may not always address the most important causal variables for a client's behavior problems. The functional analysis integrates judgments about the client's behavior problems, important causal variables, and functional relations among variables. The functional analysis aids treatment decisions by helping the clinician estimate the relative magnitude of effect of each causal variable on the client's behavior problems, so that the most effective treatments can be selected. The parameters of, and issues associated with, a functional analysis and Functional Analytic Clinical Case Models (FACCM) are illustrated with a clinical case. The task of selecting the best treatment for a client is complicated because treatments differ in their level of specificity and have unequally weighted mechanisms of action. Further, a treatment's mechanism of action is often unknown.
