Mindful parenting intervention programs and trait can support positive parenting conditions and affect children's psychosocial development. However, the measurement of mindful parenting has not been widely developed. The Mindfulness in Parenting Questionnaire (MIPQ) scale is one approach that has been developed; it is considered to have good psychological properties and has been validated in several countries. This study aims to find evidence for the validity of the Indonesian version of the MIPQ score interpretation (MIPQ-Ind) in a population of parents of children aged 2-12 years. The total participants are 822 parents (268 fathers and 554 mothers) who live in Jakarta. Using the split sample technique and employing EFA and CFA tests, the research results show that the MIPQ-Ind has two valid factors, as indicated by the index χ2/df= 2.8, CFI= 0.9, GFI= 0.96 RMSEA= 0.06, and RMSR = 0.04. The internal structure validity is 0.913 for being in the moment with child (BMC) factor and 0.906 for the mindful discipline (MD) factor. The study shows that MIPQ-Ind can measure mindful parenting in the population of parents of children aged 2-12 years in Indonesia.

The aim of this article was to analyze the evidence regarding the effectiveness of intervention programs for children with autism based on the participation of their parents. To obtain the data, a systematic search was carried out in four databases (PsycARTICLES (ProQuest), ERIC (ProQuest), PubMed (ProQuest), and Scopus). The retrieved documents were refined under the inclusion/exclusion criteria, and a total of 51 empirical studies were selected. These studies were first classified according to the function of the intervention objective and, later, by the methodology applied (19 studies were based on comprehensive interventions, 11 focused on the nuclear symptoms of autism spectrum disorder (ASD), 12 focused on the promotion of positive parenting, and nine interactions focused on child play). Once all of the documents had been analyzed, the evidence indicated scientific efficacy in most studies, mainly in those based on child development and the application of behavioral analysis principles. Moreover, the positive influence of parent participation in such programs was demonstrated.

Context. The theoretical apsidal motion constants are key tools to investigate the stellar interiors in close eccentric binary systems. In addition, these constants and the moment of inertia are also important to investigate the tidal evolution of close binary stars as well as of exo-planetary systems. Aims. The aim of the paper is to present new evolutionary models, based on the MESA package, that include the internal structure constants (k2, k3, and k4), the radius of gyration, and the gravitational potential energy for configurations computed from the pre-main-sequence up to the first ascent giant branch or beyond. The calculations are available for the three metallicities [Fe/H] = 0.00, −0.50, and −1.00, which take the recent investigations in less metallic environments into account. This new set of models replaces the old ones, published about 15 years ago, using the code GRANADA. Methods. Core overshooting was taken into account using the mass-fov relationship, which was derived semi-empirically for models more massive than 1.2 M⊙. The differential equations governing the apsidal motion constants, moment of inertia, and the gravitational potential energy were integrated simultaneously through a fifth-order Runge-Kutta method with a tolerance level of 10−7. Results. The resulting models (from 0.8 up to 35.0 M⊙) are presented in 54 tables for the three metallicities, containing the usual characteristics of an evolutionary model (age, initial masses, log Teff, log g, and log L), the constants of internal structure (k2, k3, and k4), the radius of gyration β, and the factor α that is related with the gravitational potential energy.

Background: Children of bipolar parents are at elevated risk for psychiatric disorders including bipolar disorder. Helping bipolar parents to optimize parenting skills may improve their children's mental health outcomes. Clear evidence exists for benefits of behavioural parenting programmes, including those for depressed mothers. However, no studies have explored web-based self-directed parenting interventions for bipolar parents. Aims: The aim of this research was to conduct a pilot study of a web-based parenting intervention based on the Triple P-Positive Parenting Programme. Method: Thirty-nine self-diagnosed bipolar parents were randomly allocated to the web-based intervention or a waiting list control condition. Parents reported on their index child (entry criterion age 4–10 years old). Perceived parenting behaviour and child behaviour problems (internalizing and externalizing) were assessed at inception and 10 weeks later (at course completion). Fifteen participants (4 control group and 11 intervention group) did not provide follow-up data. Results: Levels of child behaviour problems (parent rated; Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaire) were above clinical thresholds at baseline, and problematic perceived parenting (self-rated; Parenting Scale) was at similar levels to those in previous studies of children with clinically significant emotional and behavioural problems. Parents in the intervention group reported improvements in child behaviour problems and problematic perceived parenting compared to controls. Conclusions: A web-based positive parenting intervention may have benefits for bipolar parents and their children. Initial results support improvement in child behaviour and perceived parenting. A more definitive study addressing the limitations of the current work is now called for.

The hereby paper takes up the analysis of the constitutional position of the Finnish parliament Eduskunta from the moment of its establishment and as a result of its development during the centuries, with a special attention paid to the present normative state and on the basis of the hitherto constitutional practice. It aims at deriving the origin and presenting the evolution of this authority at the Finnish lands, which in consequence leads to reliable conclusions in the scope of determining its current constitutional position in the system of the supreme state authorities of Finland. The subject of the paper focuses on the analysis of the beginnings of Eduskunta’s formation and Finnish parliamentarianism, its further evolution, current composition, internal structure, functions and competences presented on the basis of the exegesis of the provisions of the binding basic law of 1999 and the parliament’s rules of procedure. The constitutional principles referring to the parliament and the analysis of Eduskunta’s relations with the other supreme state authorities, which determine the state’s form of government, seem to be of particular significance in this context, as they contribute to a more precise definition of Eduskunta’s constitutional position, as well as to pointing out its originality and dissimilarity regarding other contemporary democratic states.
