The purpose of this paper is to investigate the initial information related to the roles and competencies required for a project manager who managed IBS construction projects in the Malaysian construction industry.  Semi-structured interviews were conducted with the project managers who have experience in managing an IBS construction project. The finding reveals unanimously agreed that the project managers who managed IBS construction projects have to undertake extra roles which required additional competency as compared to the generic construction projects. This paper presents the findings of a preliminary survey, which is consist of the identification of issues and importance of safety and health cost allocation. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with seven (7) construction stakeholders who are involved in urban rail infrastructure project. The transcription and interpretation from the interview findings were carried out using Atlas.ti© qualitative software. The objective of the main research is to investigate the current state of implementation of mechanisation and automation in the Industrialised Building System (IBS). The aim of this paper however, is to provide an overview on the implementation of mechanisation and automation in the IBS construction approach. Questionnaire survey and semi structured interviews were conducted to collect the viewpoints among contractors and manufacturers of IBS to ensure the richness of the data collected. The results illustrated that although most respondents have agreed on most critical issues in the implementation of mechanisation and automation, they were not ready to move forward. These responses were quite consistent across the professions. Sustainability has received a great deal of criticism, particularly the development of strategies, operationalization and implementation of those strategies. The study aimed to understand environmental practices in business operations and identify the internal business factors that influence the success of environmental practices. Background: This study explores thalassemia patients' perceptions concerning the effectiveness of conventional therapies for Thalassemia healthcare. Method: The semi-structured interviews were audiotaped, transcribed verbatim, and translated into English. Results: Nearly all thalassemia patients reported to have relied on conventional treatment methods to treat and reduce the severity of their disease. Few patients reported not to comply with their treatment procedures due to fear of infection through blood transfusion, surgery and organ failure. Conclusions: In conclusion, patients showed positive views about the conventional therapies carried out for Thalassemia. IBS application had claimed to offer a faster construction, high quality, cost saving, cleaner and safer construction site. However, several challenges in management during the construction phase had been identified by researchers. This paper aims to analyze the challenges and issues arise in managing IBS construction projects. The challenges and issues identified can be categorized into pre-construction, construction and post-construction phases. The quality of finishes of housing space is imperative for the achievement of a qualitative living environment. This paper presents a part of the findings of housing interior finishes choices – behaviour and motivation among prospective house owners in Nigeria. The study was conducted within the methodological and conceptual frameworks of Means-End Chain (MEC) and Stated Housing Preference and Housing Choice (SHPHC) models. A questionnaire survey and semi-structured interviews were used to generate data which were content analysed. The results showed that 71.95% of the respondents preferred ceramic tiled floor finishes as the various motivational factors. Abstract: Problems in construction projects caused by the extension of working time and an increase in labor costs. A limited ability of project management contribute to the decline in the quality of project work. The quality of project manager has an important role to smooth a construction project. Dedication in this profession requires project managers to carry out the work going according to plan. Analyzing the quality of the project manager for the implementation of construction projectsis one wayto measure the quality of a project. It needs  a right measurements way to providean accurate assessment of qualified and reliable project managers. This study aimed to obtain and analyze the factors that affect the quality of the project manager and its to construction projects.This used a sample of 45 respondents from several construction projects in the area of Badung and Denpasar during the period 2007-2012. The method used in this study is the method of multiple linear regression analysis by testing for the F-test and t-test. The results found 8 dominant factor that has a value eigen values??> 1. Sequentially, the factors that have been named are experience 41.63%,  education 9.278%, knowledge 7.240%, ability 5.088%, character 4.047%, network 3.843%, relationship communication 3.550%, confidence 3.357%. Influence the quality of the project manager on the performance fee of 51.9%, against 43.1% for quality performance, on-time performance, with a value of 57.9%. The results of this study prove that the powerful influence between the quality of the construction project manager to the implementation of construction projects.

Stress is inevitable in any types of occupation and career. It is recognised as major managerial and economic issues which contribute to employee turnover and poor performance. There is  a  need to  understand how  to reduce the effects to employees. This study aims to determine the stress relationship between employees in commercial complex facilities management organisations. The influence of active client involvement towards project construction success is gaining recognition in the last few decades. The growing concern on the client involvement has drifted the perception towards client away from the passive role into contributor of project success. During client involvement in the construction project, a representative from client or client project manager (CPM) should be complemented with certain competencies in order to succeed in commissioning construction projects. Evidence shows that some public construction projects in Indonesia failed due to the lack of competency of client project managers. Whilst most of the previous studies concern on the competency of general project managers, this paper specifically investigates competency of project manager from client side who works as a civil servant, and commissioning public construction sectors. This paper aims to identify the important competencies required by CPM in construction projects in Indonesia and examine current Indonesian CPM competency standard. Relative Importance Index (RII) was employed to assess the important level of competencies. The findings will enrich understanding on client project manager competency and become a basis to undergird further empirical research in client project manager development areas.

This paper compares Shariah audit and Shariah review in Islamic banks in Malaysia based on reporting structure, independence, the scope of duties, technology used, guideline and methodology, coverage period, and officers’ qualification. The study employs a qualitative method by utilizing semi-structured interviews with nine (9) key industry players. Data gathered from a series of interviews have been transcripted and analyzed using Atlas.ti. This study uncovers that Shariah review and Shariah audit have apparent differences and play their roles as a second and third line of defense, respectively, that eventually could provide a stimulus to Shariah governance and strengthen market confidence.  Keywords: Shariah audit, Shariah review, Islamic banks, qualitative method. eISSN: 2398-4287© 2020.
