Energy efficiency is an important issue that has been considered by many construction sectors. Recently, the research attention is focused on the thermal performance of the wall envelope, in particular, for its high energy consumption. This paper conducted a literature review highlighting the recent studies and research approach and methodology on the building wall envelope. Results indicate that climate, insulation and orientation are the key factors that should be considered on wall envelope design and installation. This paper attempted to explore the factors that contribute to halal food fraud and possible methods to address this problem. This paper uses a qualitative research approach as well as in-depth interviews with the two enforcement officials from JAIS and KPDNHEP. Based on the interviews, the researcher found that two key factors contributing to halal food fraud are lack of knowledge and halal as a marketing tool. After observing the factors, the researchers hypothesize solutions to the halal fraud epidemic. The study focus to compare the indoor thermal performance level between a new mosque and old mosques. Specific objectives are to identify the criteria that support sustainable practice, to analyse the indoor thermal performance using thermal monitoring tests and to propose strategic approaches for mosque design to achieve good indoor thermal performance towards sustainable practice. The data was carried out by experimental and observation. This data have been analyzed by Origin 6.0. Results show that the significant different between old and new mosque in indoor thermal performance. The main finding is influenced by the practice of passive design includes the building orientation and location, opening and building envelopes. Buildings should be correctly oriented to minimize solar gain and maximize natural ventilation.Keywords: Mosque; passive design; sustainable practice; thermal performance.© 2017. The Authors. This paper investigates the effect of vegetation in modifying outdoor temperature around a single-family house in a hot and humid tropical climate. The climatic parameters, house location, and physical characteristics of landscape design are measured and surveyed. The focus of this study is on the impact of trees and different types of foliage on the thermal environment of the houses.  The main findings are that heavily landscape around single-family houses can potentially slow heat build-up by shading, evapotranspiration, and wind channelling by as much as 4°C.Keywords: Single-family house, thermal performance, landscape design, evapotranspirationeISSN 2398-4295 © 2018. Sustainable aspects of buildings became one of the most crucial aspects of the built environment. The thermal performance can be improved through sustainable design guidelines and, thus, reduce energy consumption. This review covered studies that addressed Window Wall Ratio (WWR) and Window Orientation (WO) and their effect on thermal performance. WWR as a design variable that deals with window design, while the WO as an environmental variable that deals with orientation. The results will help to highlight open issues and research directions in the context of WWR, WO and integrations with other factors in buildings. The evolutionary process of Malay clothes reached the highest level during the Malacca Sultanate. Tun Hassan was the first person to change the shape of the original Baju Melayu. Nowadays, the modernization process is becoming very extensive. This research aimed to analyze the evolution of the trend men's Baju Melayu in Malaysia regarding social change and transformation of new trend Baju Melayu. The theory of social changes and Malay dress principles and ethics will use. This is a qualitative research approach. This study revealed the constraints and motivations to using sustainable transportation for daily trips. A total of 384 respondents was selected for this survey, represented the 36 sections of Shah Alam. The reasons provided as barriers to cycling and walking are hot weather, surrounding safety factor, unsatisfactory cycling tracks and poor condition of pedestrian lanes. Among the reasons respondents are not motivated to use public transport are inefficient services and expensive fares. However, the majority stated that the increase in petrol prices and tolls would be key factors to reduce car use and more provision of public transport would encourage them to use public transport. Shah Alam has exhibited flourishing cul-de-sac courtyard neighbourhoods, which has stirred debatable interests. The objective of this paper is to continue the discourse in measurable analysis of sub-classifications. The paper assembles physical data with key characteristics that make-up the physical construct of a cul-de-sac courtyard by administering measurements, observations and checklists. The sub-classification processes led to preliminary key factors such as density, size, design forms and user implications. 18 cul-de-sac courtyards in Shah were catalogued and inventoried, elucidating its syntax. The database introduced potential in longitudinal research of the socio-spatial micro-neighbourhood unit, towards pragmatic applications in emergent design practices. A Malay wedding ceremony is still preserved until now despite several changes that took place in the custom. Publication and comprehensive documentation on the Malay traditional attire is still not widely produced, and less attention in recording this type of clothing. The main objective of this research was to identify the styles of Malay bride’s traditional wedding as well as to categorize the styles from the year 1960 until 2016. The present study, which used the qualitative research approach. Today, the issue of corporate environmental practice has been discussed extensively in research and operation because the future of sustainability is at stake. Thus, this paper’s objectives are 1) to understand the corporate environmental practice and 2) to determine the key factors of successful corporate environmental practice. Data were gathered from semi-structured interviews with representatives from several prominent Public Listed Companies (PLCs) in Malaysia, which are the pioneer in this area. Findings from this study reveal that companies should have clear environmental guidelines, and most importantly enhanced data governance for greater corporate environmental practice. The conclusion discusses the continuous improvement in navigating and planning future research. This study explores the practice of financial interdependence among Malay older people who live in the community in Malaysia. Eleven Malay older people participated in this qualitative study by an in-depth interview. The data was analyzed using six stages of the interpretative phenomenological analysis. Two main themes emerged from the interview transcripts are issues regarding living expenses and financial assistance. Financial interdependence is one of the most effective ways for the Malay older people in the community in Malaysia to adapt their retired status, to achieve maximum life satisfaction and productivity thereby improving their overall quality of life.Keywords: Financial interdependence, Older people, Quality of life, Interpretative phenomenological analysisISSN: 2398-4287© 2017.
