Zusammenfassung Die Bauwirtschaft gehört bis dato zu den am wenigsten von der Digitalisierung erfassten Wirtschaftszweigen. Der vermehrte Einsatz von Building Information Modeling (BIM) in Planungsbüros beschleunigt nun die Digitalisierung des Bauwesens. Dies ermöglicht den vermehrten Einsatz weiterer digitaler Tools im Bauprozess, zum Beispiel Augmented Reality (AR). Neue Tools bieten die Chance, die vorhandenen Prozesse neu zu überdenken und auf Innovations- und Effizienzpotenzial zu untersuchen. Die Autoren sehen für die Technologie AR großes Potenzial im Bauprozess. Im Forschungsprojekt AR-AQ-Bau führten sie daher eine Anwendungs- und Anforderungsanalyse für AR durch. In diesem Artikel werden einige derzeitige und mögliche Anwendungen von AR im Bauwesen sowie deren Anforderungen an AR-Hard- und Software (z. B. durch die Besonderheiten der Baustelle) dargestellt und ein Ausblick in die Zukunft gegeben. Der Anwendungsbereich von AR ist äußerst vielfältig. Einerseits kann BIM dadurch leichter auf die Baustelle übertragen und können Abnahmen und Qualitätskontrollen durchgeführt werden. Andererseits stellen ein Remote-Expert-System, Schulungen und die Unterstützung im Behördenverfahren weitere Einsatzmöglichkeiten dar.

The anti-corrosion performance of coating systems (cathode protection, organic coating, and duplex coating) applied to prevent the corrosion of offshore wind power plants was assessed. As an assessment method, the adhesion strength of each coating system was evaluated after exposing the coatings to the marine environment and an indoor salt spray test. It was confirmed that the adhesion strength varied depending on the exposure period, and the deterioration of adhesion strength was related to the fracture type of each coating layer. In addition, the fracture type of each coating system was analyzed and the adhesion strength was corrected according to the fracture type. The corrosion rates after exposure to the marine environment and indoor salt spray were compared and examined using the corrected values.

Corrosion of steel structures has been found to be a problem Corrosion can be managed but not eliminated, so detecting corrosion will remain an issue no matter how effective corrosion prevention programs become. Electrochemical reaction is the basically process of steel corrosion in civil engineering, so electrochemical method is the best way to monitor corrosion grade. Liquid state reference is often used in lab to study steel corrosion by triple electrode system, but it is very difficultly used in steel bar corrosion monitoring in civil engineering. Firstly, liquid reference’s life is, generally speaking, very short. The steel corrosion is a very slow process, corrosion monitoring should be tens of years, so the liquid reference’s life is not long enough for corrosion monitoring; Secondly, the reference electrode’s strength have to be very high. Obviously, liquid electrode reference can not meet the requirement. In this paper, a novel all solid state reference electrode (ASSRE) has been developed. There are three layers in the electrode. Four kinds of components have been included in first and second layer. Additional AgCl powder has been used to inhibit AgCl decrease which is on the surface of Ag wire by complexing effect. There is only one kind of component in third layer. There are four steps to prepare the reference electrode: electrolyze, pre-mixed components, modelling and sintering. Finally, the potential of ASSR has been measured by SCE.

New provisions of the CSA standard for steel structures (CAN/CSA-S16.1-M89) dealing with detailing of concentrically braced frames for seismic design are described and related to requirements of the National Building Code of Canada. The basis of the new requirements is outlined, and an example eight-storey frame is used to outline a methodology for the design process for a ductile braced frame and to illustrate the impact of the provisions. Braced frame structures designed according to the 1990 edition of the National Building Code of Canada and the CSA standard for steel structures (CAN/CSA-S16.1-M89) are analyzed under a number of different earthquake motions. The nonlinear response is studied in the light of the design philosophy, and the validity of a number of design assumptions is examined. The study is limited to a group of eight-storey frames, located either in Victoria, British Columbia, or Montreal, Quebec, all with the same bracing configuration. A 20-storey frame in Montreal is also considered. The results suggest a number of areas in which improved design provisions could be made.
