The quality assessment of e-government services is more and more emerging as a key issue within public administrations. Ensuring a proper quality of digital services is mandatory to satisfy citizens and firms’ needs and to accept the use of ICT in our lives. We propose a methodology for quality assessment that takes e-government quality features into account. We also define a reference model to provide a single quality value starting from a set of service parameters. To validate our approach we assess the goodness of the ‘TecUt’ shared services management system.

Proverbs are very important in every language and culture. However, translators sometimes mistranslate them. Thus, this study sheds light on the translation quality assessment of proverbs. These proverbs are collected from One thousand and one English proverbs translated into Arabic by Omar Jabak. This study aims at pointing out the most frequently used strategies for translating proverbs, and investigating how far Na Pham's error analysis model is appropriate for the description and assessment of the strategies used in translating these proverbs. Na Pham's error analysis model is used to identify comprehension, linguistic and translation errors. Moreover, this study aims at detecting the most common errors under each strategy used. The findings of this study show that Na Pham's error analysis model is appropriate for the assessment. It also reveals that there are certain types of errors which are committed more often than others. In addition, it uncovers that the types of errors detected when translating proverbs using partial equivalence and paraphrasing are very similar. Comprehension errors, giving an inaccurate meaning, and distorting the meaning are the most frequently detected errors when translating proverbs using partial equivalents and paraphrasing. On the other hand, wrong lexical choice and too-literal translation are the most frequently detected errors when using literal translation. Finally, this study suggests solutions for improving the quality of Arabic translations of proverbs. In addition, some recommendations for further studies are suggested.

AbstractOne of main purposes of every enterprise is to satisfy the buyer, therefore customer service is perceived as the capability or the ability of satisfying customers expectations and requirements. The present article was devoted to the issue of the quality assessment of customer service assuring the data security on the basis of pharmacies network case study of. The survey was based on prepared questionnaire forms analyzing the quality of the customer service on the basis of three areas. Results of the survey indicate that modern IT tools are very helpful, because they can provide data for analysis of numerous distribution individuals in the context of the quality of customer service in a very fast way.

The EU directive (2000/60/EC) known as the Water Framework Directive (WFD), identifies new methodology for monitoring and improving of surface water quality in the territory. This includes controlling land-based pollutants as well as defining the constraints for territorial planning. It is, therefore, necessary to know in detail the surface water quality in order to estimate the possible consequences of a either new civil or industrial activity to settle in the territory. Thus, investigating methodologies, data analysis procedures and water quality management tools need to be well defined. The new EU water framework directive institutionalizes ecosystem-based objectives and planning processes at the level of the hydro-graphic basin as the basis for water resource management. It underlines the need for developing adequate biological and ecotoxicological tests. An ample management strategy of the use of natural resources from basin ecosystems is also needed. Management programs require a multidisciplinary approach based on a systematic monitoring of key biological and chemical physical parameters. On the other hand, only a few suggestions have been proposed for the tools needed the interpretation of the large amount of environmental data required to obtain the information for a correct basin management. The creation of innovative decision making tools for sustainable basin resource utilization is an important challenge for the future application of the directive. The aim of this study is to describe the implementation of WFD in European Country, with a discussion of a case study. To assess the chemical and the ecological status of the surface water according to WFD-2000, the approache of the EU were discussed. The influences of the assessment methods on the water quality classes are also showed. In this context, a brief overview of chemical, physical, and biological monitoring methods, problems related to implementation of the new directive is done. Salerno district, the biggest province (4922 Km2) in Southern Italy, was the case study for which water quality monitoring has been performed on Sele river (Parco del Cilento). Within the period from February 2001 to April 2004, 6 sampling station were monthly monitored and the water quality of the rivers was analyzed. The flow of the river as well as physical (pH, water and air temperatures), chemical (suspended solids, NH4-N, NO2-N, NO3-N, dissolved oxygen (DO), chemical oxygen demand (COD), biochemical oxygen demand (BOD5), phosphate concentration) and biological (Escherichia coli and the Extended Biotic Index (EBI)) parameters were monitored. The results obtained allowed us to define the chemical, physical and biological water quality of the Sele river. At the same time, its classification according to the main WFD outlines was done. A correlation between biologically determined quality classes and chemical measurements was observed. The conclusion was that the parameters have to be measured carefully to provide unique definition of environmental status according to WDF-2000 for a water resource, hence, uniform and unbiased water quality assessment in the EU will be obtained.

PurposeThis study aimed to analyze existing problems in the dissemination and management of emergency information on social media platforms, improve social media users' experience regarding such information, increase the efficiency of emergency information dissemination and curb the spread of misinformation.Design/methodology/approachIn this study, the emergency information quality on social media platforms was examined. Based on the evaluation principles of the quality of mature information, social media information characteristics and the rules of emergency information dissemination, combined with relevant academic research results, an index to evaluate the quality of emergency information on social media was constructed. In addition, the authors have introduced cloud theory as an information quality evaluation method and used social media users' emotional characteristics to assess information quality evaluation results. A comprehensive system for evaluating emergency information quality, including indexes, methods and detection strategies was established. Based on a comprehensive system, a case study was conducted on the forest fires in Sichuan Province and the African swine fever events as reported on the Zhihu platform. In accordance with the results of the case study, the authors expanded the research and introduced the emotional characteristics of social media users as an independent evaluation dimension to evaluate the quality of emergency information on social media.FindingsThe comprehensive system's effectiveness was verified through the case study. Further, it was found that users' emotional characteristics (reflected in their information behavior) are inconsistent with their evaluation of websites' information quality regarding major emergencies. Integrating users' emotional characteristics into the information evaluation system can enhance its effectiveness following major emergencies.Originality/valueFirst, an evaluation index system of emergency information quality on social media about major emergencies was offered. Unlike the commonly available index system for information quality evaluation, this proposed evaluation index system not only accounted for the characteristics of social media, such as massive disordered information, multiple information sources and rapid dissemination, but also for the characteristics of emergency events, such as variability and the absence of precursors. This proposed evaluation index system enhances the pertinence of the information quality evaluation and compensates for the shortcoming that the current research only focuses on evaluating social media information quality in a broad context, but pays insufficient attention to major emergencies. Second, cloud theory was introduced as a method to evaluate the emergency information quality found on social media. Existing research has primarily included the use of traditional statistical methods, which cannot transform numerical values into qualitative concepts effectively. Various indeterminate factors inevitably affect the quality of emergency information on social media platforms, and the traditional methods cannot eliminate this uncertainty in the evaluation process. The method to assess emergency information quality based on cloud theory can effectively compensate for the gaps in the research and improve the accuracy of information quality assessment. Third, the inspection and the dynamic adjustment of assessment results are absent in the research on information quality assessment, and the research has relied principally on the information users' evaluation and has paid insufficient attention to their attitudes and behaviors toward information. Therefore, the authors incorporated users' emotional characteristics into the evaluation of emergency information quality on social media and used them to test the evaluation results so that the results of the information quality assessment not only include the users' explicit attitudes but also their implicit attitudes. This enhances the effectiveness of the information quality assessment system. Finally, through this case study, it was found that an inconsistency exists between user evaluation and user emotional characteristics after major emergencies. The reasons for this phenomenon were explained, and the necessity of integrating user emotional characteristics into information quality assessment was demonstrated. Based on this, the users' emotional characteristics were used as a separate evaluation dimension for assessing the quality of emergency information on social media. Compared with assessing the quality of general information, integrating the user's emotional characteristics into the evaluation index system can lead the evaluation results to include not only the users' cognitive evaluation but also their emotional experience, further enhancing their adaptability.

Purpose Misophonia is a sound tolerance disorder condition in certain sounds that trigger intense emotional or physiological responses. While some persons may experience misophonia, a few patients suffer from misophonia. However, there is a dearth of literature on audiological assessment and management of persons with misophonia. The purpose of this report is to discuss the assessment of misophonia and highlight the management option that helped a patient with misophonia. Method A case study of a 26-year-old woman with the complaint of decreased tolerance to specific sounds affecting quality of life is reported. Audiological assessment differentiated misophonia from hyperacusis. Management included retraining counseling as well as desensitization and habituation therapy based on the principles described by P. J. Jastreboff and Jastreboff (2014). A misophonia questionnaire was administered at regular intervals to monitor the effectiveness of therapy. Results A detailed case history and audiological evaluations including pure-tone audiogram and Johnson Hyperacusis Index revealed the presence of misophonia. The patient benefitted from intervention, and the scores of the misophonia questionnaire indicated a decrease in the severity of the problem. Conclusions It is important to differentially diagnose misophonia and hyperacusis in persons with sound tolerance disorders. Retraining counseling as well as desensitization and habituation therapy can help patients who suffer from misophonia.

This paper presents a successful behavioral case study in treatment of chronic refractory cough in a 60-year-old adult female. The efficacy for speech-language pathology treating chronic cough is discussed along with description of treatment regime. Discussion focuses on therapy approaches used and the patient's report of changes in quality of life and frequency, duration, and severity reduction of her cough after treatment.

So far, in implementing school strategies, they tend not to utilize Information and Communication Technology (ICT), despite the availability of ICT resources available. Stages of strategic management are needed to generate the vision, mission, objectives, policy, program, budget, and procedures as well as control and evaluation process as an effort to utilize ICT to improve school quality. Based on the interpretation and the results of the study, it is concluded that schools have organized stages in strategic management that enable schools to have a quality profile. The impact of effective utilization of ICTs for schools is the achievement of effective school management, as per the National Education Standards, which is characterized by effective planning, implementation, control, and evaluation of school ICTs.The purpose of this study is to get a general description, describe, and reveal the Strategic Management of Information and Communication Technology Utilization to Improve the Quality of School Learning in Ciledug Al Musaddadiyah Vocational High School and Garut 1 Vocational High School, both on environmental analysis, strategic formulation, implementation and strategic evaluation. The research method used in this research is the case study method, because the problems studied occur in the place and situation of Ciledug Al Musaddadiyah Vocational School and Vocational High School 1 Garut. The use of case study models in this study is based on the consideration that to provide an overview of the strategic management activities of the use of ICTs carried out at vocational high schools with the ultimate goal of being able to improve the quality of school learning. Based on observations in the field of SMK 1 Garut and SMK Al Musaddadiyah Ciledug Garut is one of the public schools and private schools that have these advantages.
