The research on the development of an innovative formula of a synthetic detergent with improved environmental properties, which meet the environmental standard of SOU OEM 08.002.12.065:2016 "Detergents and cleaning products. Environmental criteria for life cycle assessment" is carried out. The accumulated theoretical and practical experience is generalized, the general scheme of designing and development of new goods taking into account features of detergents with the improved ecological characteristics is created.

This paper introduces the need for the responsible selection of construction products and then analyses a number of assessment methodologies. Some computer packages and guidebooks that assist in life cycle assessment or aid construction product selection are briefly reviewed. Issues that affect decision-making and complexities in the construction industry are discussed. A tool for assisting responsible construction product selection is then presented that involves carrying out a streamlined life cycle assessment, comparing a novel product to a traditional product. The tool is pragmatic because only three environmental criteria are considered (resource consumption, energy use and human and ecological impacts) and a relative rather then absolute assessment is required. The decision-assisting methodology is demonstrated with a case study. The limitations and benefits of the streamlined LCA are finally presented.

Summary The paper presents a method for Life Cycle Assessment LCA (Life Cycle Assessment) to evaluate the ecological characteristics of products, presents a procedure for the implementation of the LCA with an overview of the various stages. Moreover the validity of using this method to evaluate the energy sector. The article also points to the directions of the Polish energy sector and pointed to the need to determine the environmental risks associated with the production of energy. Energy industry in Poland, the structure of energy production requires special supervision. The use of coal and lignite as a primary fuel results in significant the environmental impact.

This paper introduces a sustainability assessment tool for façade cladding. This tool bases its evaluation on the economic and environmental properties of the materials. Normally, in the project process and later construction it will be difficult to assume the price and time of doing a life-cycle assessment (LCA) for each material and building system. Because of this, and until the environmental product declarations (EPD) are more used, this tool will give quick and easily enough arguments to select, according to its sustainability, the ideal façade cladding.
