The article raises the question of finding effective forms and means of overcoming the value disorientation of the younger generation. As a solution to this problem, the author proposes to use the volunteer resource of student youth, to attract future teachers to work with children’s associations of different ages at leisure and recreation sites. The content, purpose, objectives, methods and forms of interaction between volunteers and children at such sites determine the spiritual and moral orientation of their joint activities. To understand the specifics of such social practice, the author of the article presented the rationale for the peculiarities of educational activities of a spiritual and moral orientation, concretized the pedagogical goals and the result of this activity, taking into account possible restrictions, methods of selecting specific types and forms of interaction between children and volunteers, which allow initiating the spiritual efforts of pupils to self-analysis of activities and behavior, to motivate them to choose creative ways of self-realization. These theoretical propositions have been tested in practice and have proven their effectiveness within the framework of the “Guys from Our Yard” project, which has been implemented for five years by students of the Solikamsk State Pedagogical Institute (branch) of the Perm State National Research University. The materials proposed in the article can be used by volunteer associations, student pedagogical teams for organizing educational activities of a spiritual and moral orientation at leisure and recreation sites (or in working conditions with children’s associations of different ages at the place of residence).

The designed program of integrated geographical atlas of the Perm Territory for educational purposes has been developed for universities. It is a handbook where the aims and objectives, spheres of application, structure and content, organizational issues are defined. According to the given program the atlas “Geography of the Perm Territory” has been created by the professors and students of the Department of Cartography and Geoinformatics of Perm State National Research University (PSNRU). The inner unity of the atlas as a system is provided by the unified projection, a set of scales, unified principles of cartographic generalization, consensual system of legend and a unified design. The modern techniques and methods of geoinformation mapping were applied while creating the atlas. The designed atlas has 108 maps, made in ArcGIS10.4.1. The introduction of the atlas includes geoinfographics about geographical position of the region, satellite images, and up-to-date maps administrative and territorial division and a physical map. In the first chapter of the atlas “Physical Geography” the natural conditions of the region are characterized by a series of 72 theme maps. Distance education is becoming in demand in many universities in the country. At the beginning of 2020, an epidemiological situation arose in Russia and the world, which showed that distance learning is the safest way to get an education. But not all Russian universities were ready to quickly switch to distance learning. This led to some difficulties: the load increased on all actors of the educational process, the technical problems of the university and students became actualized, there was a need for additional time for adaptation of students, teachers, and university administration. As a result, the level of satisfaction with the learning process has changed. The purpose of this publication is to characterize the features of the organization of distance learning and identify its future prospects (using the example of Perm State National Research University). The empirical base of the study is materials of a survey of university students about their satisfaction with online learning. The authors assess three areas: 1) the level of material and technical equipment of students; 2) changes that have occurred in the organization of training (workload, time for completing assignments, mastering educational material, academic performance); 3) prospects of distance learning (limitations and reasons for their occurrence, merits). In practical terms, the study can clarify the need to expand distance learning in all universities in the country. Distance learning can become an effective alternative to classical education if state authorities and local governments finance distance learning, if universities provide trainings on organizing and conducting classes in an online format.

This chapter discusses the transformation in the Education Corps' approach to the conceptualization of Holocaust memory among its soldiers between 1987 and 2004, and the factors that influenced this change. The historical events are the background for the milestones in the IDF's approach to the Holocaust, which is the foundation for this discussion. The Education Corps, which is in charge of the IDF's educational activities, is poised between the IDF and society and was therefore selected as the object of this study, through which we can gain an understanding of the IDF in general. In particular, the diversity of voices of delegation members—who come from different backgrounds, different personal situations, are of different ages, and serve in different positions in the IDF—reflects the complex nature of the experience and the trip's personal impact on the commanders.

Combining educational environment with art has a long tradition within university museums, which are a valuable research resource, responsive to the needs of teaching, research and educational activities. At the same time, today not every school, university or research center has or can afford such museums. The article discusses innovative formats of interaction between educational institutions and artistic practices through public art — contemporary art practice, intended for the unprepared audience and implying the demonstration of art in a public, non-institutional environment. The article reveals the essence of the concept of public art, its evolution from understanding itself as an object to procedural and social practice; indicates the communicative, cultural and symbolic potential of public art in the formation of environments, communities, in the promotion of innovative ideas on the basis of universities or other educational institutions on the example of projects implemented at the National Research University Higher School of Economics, Moscow International University, Skolkovo Innovation Center. The conclusions of the article are the practical recommendations for creating public art projects on the territory of modern educational and research centers, based on communicative, site-specific, socially engaged approach.

The relevance of the study is due to the interest of the humanities in the study of the processes of formation and development of foreign philology as a field of scientific and educational activities in the Perm University, since its foundation in 1916. In the Perm archives we study personal files and personal provenance fonds of philologists and historians affiliated with the Perm State National Research University (PGNIU), whose field of interests is foreign literature and language, as well as other archival documents. Research methods are source study and archival methods, methods of philological analysis. Personal files of the Perm philologists of the first third of the last century A. A. Smirnov, B. A. Krzhevsky, B. L. Bogaevsky, N. P. Obnorsky, A. F. Shamray, E. O. Preobrazhenskaya, who taught language and literature or even history and language (V.V. Weidle, N.P. Ottokar, V.E. Krusman) contain documents related not only to their professional pedagogical activity, but also documents on their scientific interests, everyday and family life, places of residence, reflecting the realities of time and representing the era in Perm. Personal files of the staff of the Department of Foreign Literature (since 1999 – the Department of World Literature and Culture) A. A. Belsky, R. F. Yashenkina, N. S. Leites, E. P. Khanzhina, A. F. Lyubimova, G. S. Rutskoi, who worked there in the 1950s-2010s, have not yet undergone evaluation and remain in the departmental storage. The personal provenance fonds of philologists B. M. Proskurnin and N. S. Bochkareva, containing a large amount of hand- and typewritten documents, can be considered not only as archival sources, but also within the framework of philological discourse as a post-modern text created as a game of different texts that refer to different cultural layers, languages, realities. Documents of the personal fond, reflecting the methods of scientist’s work with literature, play a pedagogical role in the formation of the competencies of a university graduate. Today, archives need to create personal provenance fonds and collections of philologists who worked in the 1950s and later, via interaction with the scientists themselves or their relatives.
