The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of ownership structure on the firm performance of manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX).  This research is a causative study. The population in this study are all manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period 2013-2018. This study uses secondary data published in the Indonesian Stock Exchange (IDX). Based on data collection, a sample of 75 companies from 144 listed manufacturing companies was obtained. The analytical method used is Multiple Regression using SPSS 24 data processing applications. The results of this study conclude (1) Family Ownership does not have a significant positive effect on firm performance (2) Managerial Ownership has a significant negative effect on firm performance (3) Institutional Ownership has a significant positive effect on firm performance (4) Foreign ownership does not have a significant positive effect on firm performance.  Keywords: Ownership structure, firm performance, Indonesia Stock Exchange.

The aim of this study to determine the effect of institutional ownership, managerial ownership, firm size, to dividend policy simultaneously and partially. The population of this study are manufacturing companies in the consumer goods industry sector listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange of 2008-2017, the sample amounted 6 companies. The method used in this study are descriptive and verificative using panel data regression analysis. The results showed that the simultaneously institutional ownership, managerial ownership and firm size has significant effect on dividend policy with contribution of effect equal to 39.62%. The partially, institutional ownership has a significant positive effect on dividend policy, managerial ownership has a significant negative effect on dividend policy, firm size has a significant positive effect on dividend policy. The effect contribution dominant of independent variables is institutional ownership equal to 29.2%, managerial ownership equal to 10% and firm size equal to 0.4%.

Tax avoidance is a legal action carried out by corporate taxpayer to reduce, minimize, and alleviate the tax burden in the manner permitted by law. Nowdays, there are a lot of tax avoidance cases in Indonesia. Indonesia is ranked 11th largest with the highest tax avoidance cases with an estimated value of 6.48 billion US dollars. This study aims to analyze the Influence of corporate ownership, executive characteristics, and the intensity of fixed assets on tax avoidance.The research’s population of this study were 152 manufacturing companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) in 2015,2016, and 2017. This research samples were 62 companies or 167 observation data selected by purposive sampling method. The data used secondary data that obtained from Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) and it was analyzed by multiple regression.The results of the study show that Family Ownership and Institutional Ownership have no effect on Tax Avoidance. While managerial ownership has a positive effect on Tax Avoidance. Executive characteristics and Intensity of Fixed Assets have negative effect on Tax Avoidance.

This study aims to analyze whether the factors that affect accounting conservatism. Data is taken from secondary data on real estate and property companies that have sold their shares on the Indonesian Stock Exchange from 2016 to 2019, the number of selected samples is 23 companies. The variables used are profitability, firm size, institutional ownership and managerial ownership. All variables are measured by ratio data. Data analysis using multiple regression which is processed by the SPSS program.The results showed that profitability and managerial ownership had a positive effect on accounting conservatism. Firm size has a negative effect on accounting conservatism, while institutional ownership has no effect on accounting conservatism.

This study examines the effect of managerial ownership, institutional ownership, independent commissioners, audit committees and profitability, on the timeliness of financial reporting in manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2016-2019 period. The population in this study were all companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2016 to 2019. The sample selection used the purposive sampling method and 299 samples were obtained. The analysis used is logistic regression analysis. The results showed that profitability had a significant positive effect on the timeliness of financial reporting. Meanwhile, managerial ownership, institutional ownership, independent commissioners, and audit committees have no effect on the timeliness of financial reporting

The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of the following corporation’s variables: value, size, debt policy, growth, liquidity, dividend policy on managerial and  institutional ownership in the base and chemical industry sector listed on the Indonesia stock exchange during 2010 through 2014. The findings showed that: (i) Corporation’s value and size variables have significant negative effect on managerial ownership; liquidity variable has significant positive effect on managerial ownership. On the other hand, debt policy, growth and dividend policy variables have non-significant negative effect on managerial ownership. (ii) Corporation’s value and size variables have significant positive effect on institutional ownership; debt policy variable has significant negative effect on institutional ownership, while growth, liquidity and dividend policy variables have non-significant positive effect on institutional ownership.

<p>The objective of this study is to analyze the influence of audit committee characteristics and ownership structure on earnings management. The characteristics which are used to measure the effectiveness of the audit committee are audit committee independence, audit committee competency, audit committee activity and audit committee size. Ownership structures are characteristics of public ownership, institutional ownership, and managerial ownership. Earnings management in this study were measured by using the value of discretionary accrual. The population in this study is manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) in 2007-2012. Based on purposive sampling method, the number of samples in this study was 66 samples. Testing the hypothesis used multiple regression analysis. The results indicate that audit committee independent, audit committee size and institutional ownership had a significant negative effect on earnings management. Instead the others variables such as audit committee competency, audit committee activity, public ownership and managerial ownership did not influenced on earnings management.</p>

This study aimed to examine the effect of earnings, cash flow and corporate governance on financial distress. The corporate governance in this study using the indicator managerial ownership, institutional ownership and the board size.  The population in this of the manufacturing companies listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange at the period of 2011-2015. Based on the criteria purposive sampling method, samples obtained is 28 companies in period 2011-2015 so obtain 140 observations. This study used logistic regression analysis.  The result of this research showed that manajerial ownership has a positive effect and the board size have negative effect on the financial distress condition. This research failed to does not effect of the earnings, cash flow and institutional ownership of the financial distress condition.

This study aims to analyze the effect of profitability, leverage, firm size, institutional ownership and managerial ownership of earnings management. The population in this study are all manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2010 to 2015. The sample in this study as many as 47 companies for 6 years.The result of analysis shows that profitability have a significant positive effect to earnings management, firm size and managerial ownership negatively affect earnings management, while leverage and institutional ownership have no effect to earnings management. While jointly shows that the variable profitability, firm size, leverage, institutional ownership and managerial ownership have a significant effect on earnings management. The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of profitability, investment opportunity set, and managerial ownership on dividend policy. The population of this study consists of whole manufacturing companies that listed on Indonesian Stock Exchange (IDX) from 2013 to 2016 by using secondary data. The data have been collected from financial report of companies from Indonesian Stock Exchange (IDX) website and Indonesian Capital Market Directory (ICMD). In this study, the samples are obtained 21 companies out of 145 companies. Analytical method that is used is multiple regression analysis. The hypothesis is measured by using statistical t-test with α level of 5%. The results indicate that profitability gives negative effect but does not significant on dividend  policy of manufacturing companies that listed on Indonesian Stock Exchange (IDX). Meanwhile, investment opportunity set and managerial ownership give positive effect and also significant on dividend policy of manufacturing companies that listed on Indonesian Stock Exchange (IDX).Keyword: profitability, investment opportunity set, managerial ownership, and dividend policy

The important decision faced by financial management which relates to the continuity of company operations is funding decision which is capital structure. Capital structure achieves optimal value if the composition of debt and capital are able to increase company value. The purpose of this research is to examine the effect of ownership structure, profitability, firm size, and tangibility against capital structure (research on manufacturing companies listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange period 2012-2016). The population in this research were all manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange 2012-2016. This research used purposive sampling method with certain criteria to determine the sample. The sample used was 38 companies with the research period 2012-2016 at manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. Multiple regression analysis using Eviews 8 was used to analyze the data. The result of multiple linear regression test showed that there were three independent variables that affect capital structure they were managerial ownership, firm size and tangibility. Whereas institutional ownership and profitability did not affect the capital structure of manufacturing companies in 2012-2016. The conclusion of this research is managerial ownership, firm size and tangibility have positive and significant effect on capital structure, while institutional ownership and profitability have negative and insignificant effect on capital structure.
