Suluk is the most important ritual in the Sufi order by zikr and getting closer to the Creator, usually by leaving the activities public. However, there are data and facts that prove that Suluk actually encourages active efforts to improve the community's social life. The Naqshabandiyah Khalidiyah Sokaraja Banyumas Order is one of the Sufi order that pays attention to suluk, which is carried out in peguron by a spiritual guide for ten to forty days. Consistency in carrying out the practice and discipline will make a pious person mentally-spiritually so that he becomes an example in the social life of the community. Sometimes it creates a negative stigma against Sufi order, but Suluk gives birth the benefits of improving spiritual and social qualities. Suluk is not isolating from social life just for worship absolutely without limits, but becoming a medium of self-purification to become a Muslim who has mental and spiritual readiness to live a better in the midst of social life with social piety.

<p>This study is entitled "Tarekat and Philanthropy: Study of the Social Activities of the Al-Haqqani Naqsyabandiyah Congregation in Indonesia". The background of this case study is Sufism so far known as the esoteric dimension in Islam. This identification often gets Sufism considered to be mystical and ascetic. So far, the Sufis are seen as a group of people who emphasize individual piety (personal) rather than social piety. However, in contrast to the Naqshbandiyah Al-Haqqani Congregation, its students must go into the community and be active in social life. In terms of the formulation of the problem two questions can be drawn namely; First, what is behind the Naqshabandiyah Al-Haqqani Congregation is engaged in social and philanthropic activities. Second, What is the social activity and philanthropy of the Al-Haqqani Naqshbandiyah Order. Efforts to answer the problems in this study will be used field research methods, namely by digging field data and observing directly. This paper describes the social activities of the tarekat as the object of study. The results of this study indicate that there is a Naqsyabandiyah Al-Haqqani order which is active in social and philanthropy. The social activities of the Al-Haqqani Naqsyabandiyah Congregation are realized through institutions such as: HCNS (Hajjah Naziha Charitable Society), Rumi Café, Karem Food Drive, Rabbani Sufi Center and CV Sogan Jaya / Sogan Batik.</p>

Abstract. Background: Suicide can have a lasting impact on the social life as well as the physical and mental health of the bereaved. Targeted research is needed to better understand the nature of suicide bereavement and the effectiveness of support. Aims: To take stock of ongoing studies, and to inquire about future research priorities regarding suicide bereavement and postvention. Method: In March 2015, an online survey was widely disseminated in the suicidology community. Results: The questionnaire was accessed 77 times, and 22 records were included in the analysis. The respondents provided valuable information regarding current research projects and recommendations for the future. Limitations: Bearing in mind the modest number of replies, all from respondents in Westernized countries, it is not known how representative the findings are. Conclusion: The survey generated three strategies for future postvention research: increase intercultural collaboration, increase theory-driven research, and build bonds between research and practice. Future surveys should include experiences with obtaining research grants and ethical approval for postvention studies.

For many observers, Banten is well known as an area where the population has a strict religious understanding onislamic law. Colonial officials and experts in Islamic studies such as Snouck Hurgronje and GF Pijper, testified that compared to other Muslims across Java , Muslim in Banten and Cirebon were stricter in practicing Islam . The phenomenon of the social life of the religious community in Banten is necessarily formed within a very long time span. This paper traces the root of the formation of public religious understanding ojMuslim in Banten. Using a socio-historical approach, this paper then leads to the conclusion that the sultan of Banten issued policies that had a greater emphasis to the adherence to the Shari'a rather than Sufism. Religious orientation on the fiqh-oriented can explain the Islamic militancy Banten community, as witnessed by the colonial officials, and even still can be seen up to this present moment.Key words: Jslamization, Sultanate, Banten
