The impact of the Covid-19 pandemic adds to the burden for single mothers. In addition to performing two functions at once, the pandemic forces them to survive difficult situations. This article describes the challenges facing single-mother as well as survival mechanisms during pandemics by phenomenological studies through direct observation and in-depth interviews conducted on single mothers in Ponteh Village. Data showed some of the challenges single-mother faced during the pandemic. First, there is an increase in double burden. One of the additional tasks for a single mother is the increasing burden of taking care of households needs due to their children’s schooling from home. Second, the decrease in income for household needs resulted from the government's mobility restriction policy. Third, the stereotyping of women (widows) that leads to social pressures. Survival mechanisms carried out by single mother during the pandemic are as follows. First, fostering optimism and taking care of each other. Second, using social relationships. Third, downsizing through reduced consumption and food substitutes, and fourth, diversifying and intensifying their jobs. This article therefore adds to the understanding that single mother women are no longer considered women who are unable to take care of their families when in fact they are able to overcome helplessness and difficult challenges.

This study aims to examine more deeply consumer behavior based on religiosity and halal awareness owned by Muslimah lecturers in Malang. This study uses a phenomenological study which aims to examine more deeply the personal experiences of Muslimah lecturers in purchasing products, especially halal cosmetic products. Phenomenological studies based on this aspect of religiosity and halal awareness are still rarely carried out. So that by doing this research, it will add to the knowledge base, especially in the field of consumer behavior. The focus of the problems that will be examined in this research is the first; is how the informants interpret the aspect of religiosity they have in influencing their consumption behavior towards halal products and the second; is how the relationship between religiosity and halal awareness owned by the informants, so that this will add to the treasures of scientific development, especially consumer behavior based on the aspect of religiosity. The results of the study show: First) The aspect of religiosity in the eyes of Muslim lecturers is interpreted as a form of "commitment" to their faith, so that the aspect of religiosity is the main consideration in the purchase/choice of halal cosmetics. Second) Religiosity and halal awareness have a close relationship, this is evidenced by the tendency of Muslim lecturers to prefer halal cosmetics over non-halal cosmetics. These results indicate that the higher the religiosity of the informants, the higher the level of halal awareness owned by Muslim lecturers in Malang.

Abstract In this paper, we examine the leptonic flavor invariants in the minimal see-saw model (MSM), in which only two right-handed neutrino singlets are added into the Standard Model in order to accommodate tiny neutrino masses and explain cosmological matter-antimatter asymmetry via leptogenesis mechanism. For the first time, we calculate the Hilbert series (HS) for the leptonic flavor invariants in the MSM. With the HS we demonstrate that there are totally 38 basic flavor invariants, among which 18 invariants are CP-odd and the others are CP-even. Moreover, we explicitly construct these basic invariants, and any other flavor invariants in the MSM can be decomposed into the polynomials of them. Interestingly, we find that any flavor invariants in the effective theory at the low-energy scale can be expressed as rational functions of those in the full MSM at the high-energy scale. Practical applications to the phenomenological studies of the MSM, such as the sufficient and necessary conditions for CP conservation and CP asymmetries in leptogenesis, are also briefly discussed.

This study aims to describe the leadership process of principals with managerial competencies to improve the quality of education in primary schools. Initial observations show that there are still many school principals in the Adipala sub-district, Cilacap, who have not carried out their primary duties and functions correctly as leaders of educational units. The principal is the person who is responsible for and leads the school in managing school resources to achieve academic goals. The method used in this research is a qualitative approach to phenomenological studies. The informants in this study were five public elementary school principals in the Adipala sub-district. Data collection techniques by interview, observation, and study documentation. Activities in data analysis are data reduction, data presentation, and concluding. The results showed that principal leadership with excellent and practical managerial competence could improve the quality of education in primary schools.

Suluk is the most important ritual in the Sufi order by zikr and getting closer to the Creator, usually by leaving the activities public. However, there are data and facts that prove that Suluk actually encourages active efforts to improve the community's social life. The Naqshabandiyah Khalidiyah Sokaraja Banyumas Order is one of the Sufi order that pays attention to suluk, which is carried out in peguron by a spiritual guide for ten to forty days. Consistency in carrying out the practice and discipline will make a pious person mentally-spiritually so that he becomes an example in the social life of the community. Sometimes it creates a negative stigma against Sufi order, but Suluk gives birth the benefits of improving spiritual and social qualities. Suluk is not isolating from social life just for worship absolutely without limits, but becoming a medium of self-purification to become a Muslim who has mental and spiritual readiness to live a better in the midst of social life with social piety.

In Article 65 of Higher Education Law numbered 2547, formation, duties and operations of scientific research and publication ethics boards have to be regulated by regulations issued by Higher Education Council (HEC). Despite this legal obligation, ethical committees in higher education institutions are not regulated by regulation; They are regulated by HEC Scientific Research and Publication Ethics Directive (HECSRPED) issued in 2016. Universities also make regulations regarding these boards within their own bodies with directives issued by decisions of their senates. In the research, firstly, the literature on the ethics committees and relevant legislation are examined. Then, categories are determined by using the document review method, considering regulations of ethics committees in HECSRPED; in the context of these categories, directives issued by 3 state universities in İstanbul regarding ethics committees in fields of social and humanities and educational sciences are analyzed. Findings show that provisions of a directive issued by universities on ethics committees generally do not coincide with relevant provisions in HECSRPED and even contain significant contradictions. It has also been discussed that ethical committees in universities may harm the principle of conducting scientific research freely and cause important bureaucratic problems and workload for both researchers and board members. It has been suggested that issues related to ethical committees are regulated by HEC, eliminating illegality in directives issued by universities and that universities can issue directives on issues that are not clarified in HECSRPED. In addition, it was recommended to conduct case studies and phenomenological studies regarding ethics committees for researchers.

AbstractThis contribution provides an overview of available numerical tools for performing phenomenological studies related to the new physics predicted by composite scenarios. The overview focuses on model-independent constructions and aims at identifying the differences and connections between the implementations of numerical models, mostly focusing on the simplified-model approach. Attention is given to which kind of studies can be performed with such tools, with emphasis to the Higgs sector, new vector-like quarks and new bosonic states. A discussion of strategies for the analysis non-minimal simplified scenarios is also provided.

Allelopathy (i.e., chemical interaction among species) was originally conceived as inclusive of positive and negative effects of plants on other plants, and we adopt this view. Most studies of allelopathy have been phenomenological, but we focus on studies that have explored the ecological significance of this interaction. The literature suggests that studies of allelopathy have been particularly important for three foci in ecology: species distribution, conditionality of interactions, and maintenance of species diversity. There is evidence that allelopathy influences local distributions of plant species around the world. Allelopathic conditionality appears to arise through coevolution, and this is a mechanism for plant invasions. Finally, allelopathy promotes species coexistence via intransitive competition, modifications of direct interactions, and (co)evolution. Recent advances additionally suggest that coexistence might be favored through biochemical recognition. The preponderance of phenomenological studies notwithstanding, allelopathy has broad ecological consequences. Expected final online publication date for the Annual Review of Ecology, Evolution, and Systematics, Volume 52 is November 2021. AbstractAs part of a programme to develop parton showers with controlled logarithmic accuracy, we consider the question of collinear spin correlations within the PanScales family of parton showers. We adapt the well-known Collins–Knowles spin-correlation algorithm to PanScales antenna and dipole showers, using an approach with similarities to that taken by Richardson and Webster. To study the impact of spin correlations, we develop Lund-declustering based observables that are sensitive to spin-correlation effects both within and between jets and extend the MicroJets collinear single-logarithmic resummation code to include spin correlations. Together with a 3-point energy correlation observable proposed recently by Chen, Moult and Zhu, this provides a powerful set of constraints for validating the logarithmic accuracy of our shower results. The new observables and their resummation further open the pathway to phenomenological studies of these important quantum mechanical effects.

In the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, there is one social phenomenon that has the potential to aggravate the situation, namely stigma in patients suspected of Covid-19 or rapid reactive results. The lab results have not actually confirmed that the patient is positive for Covid-19 but the social environment or negative associations of a person or group of people who experience symptoms or bear certain diseases result in stigma against a person. This study aims to find out how the experience and stigma in patients suspected of Covid - 19. This study uses qualitative approach method of phenomenological studies and in-depth interviews  with  telenursing. The number of participants in this study was 10 participants. This study obtained 5 themes, namely physiological experience, psychological experience, biological experience, sociological experience and spiritual experience. The high positive number of Covid-19 in Indonesia makes the emergence of negative stigma of society to patients exposed to Covid-19, not even just Patients who are positive of Covid-19 who get negative stigma, therefore for diagnostic enforcement it takes examination by Molecular Test: Real Time PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction) method. The sample types used are bronchoalveolar lavage, nasopharyngeal or oropharyngeal swabs, sputum, tracheal aspirate, nasopharyngeal aspirate or nasal wash, and biopsy tissue including from the lungs. Real Time PCR check method is the golden standard for the enforcement of diagnostic Covid - 19.
