The aims of the research is to describe the thinking process at senior high school students in solving the application problems of the derivative function viewedfrom personality type choleric. The research was a descriptive qualitative. The subjects of the research were students of class XII Senior High School 1 Surakarta, who has personality type choleric. The results of the research showed that thinking process students in solving the application problems of the derivative function for choleric student: (a) reading the problem and creating an image, understanding who is known to convert information into mathematical form, and looking the problem able to know the things in question, (b) devising the planning well, connecting the first equation with the planned solution, solving problem according to the planned solution but only using one way solution, (c) substituting the answers into the first equation and determining maximum value of the function

This literature study aims to obtain the thinking process profile of senior high school students in physics problem-solving based on differences in emotional intelligence levels and gender. In this study used literature study method with phenomenological analysis, functionalism analysis, and critical analysis. The sources used to compile this article include some literature on emotional intelligence, gender effect, thinking process, problem-solving, and several empirical study on students in physics problem-solving, especially in senior high school. The authors summed up the conclusions based on the results of the literature study as follows: (1) The profile of the thinking process is influenced by emotional intelligence level and gender; (2) Emotional intelligence is directly proportional to the thinking process of students in the process of solving physics problems; (3) Students who have high emotional intelligence are more likely to have high physics problem-solving skills; (4) Gender differences (male and female) in solving physics problems, generally, are still debatable, in which sense is it better? Then it further research needs that is valid and reliable to answer this question. (5) There is a strong tendency that the male gender is more resilient in dealing with and solving complex physics problems; (6) The gender of female students is superior in solving physics problems that require very high detail. The main implication of this article is to obtain the thinking process profile of senior high school students in physics problem-solving based on terms of differences in emotional intelligence levels and gender.

People's personality types are combinations of differences wherein characteristics, behavior, and thoughts work dynamically. Each one's experiences with uncontrollable and disappointing events may lead them to feelings of helplessness and make them realize and choose not to change the situation. As a school guidance and counseling staff, the researcher, happens to have one-on-one or group sessions, testing, and surveys to students in senior high school, which transpired concerns regarding the academic, student-teacher relationship, peers, and others. The student's ability to deal with the challenges they encountered triggered the conduct of this study since some know how to manage their concerns, but some feel helpless and fail to try. In this event, it may result in poor performance in school and the students' negative behavior. Thus, the study aims to determine the personality type and degree of learned helplessness of senior high school students of a Catholic school in Bacolod City when they are taken as a whole and grouped according to sex, strand, and academic performance. Likewise, it explores whether a relationship exists between the variables and learned helplessness.

The study deals with the developing interactive media for senior high school students. The objective of this study is to find out how to develop interactive media for better speaking skill of senior high school students. The research was conducted by using Research and Development (R&D). The subject of this research was 2016/2017 students of the eleventh grade of Class XI IPA4 in SMAN 1 Batang Kuis. The number of the students was 30 students. The data of this study was collected by using need analysis questionnaire and experts’ judgment. Need analysis questionnaire was calculated by using percentage to get the information of students’ need before developing interactive media. Experts’ judgment was calculated by using likert data, mean and criteria interval of expert judgment to know the validity of interactive media which has been developed. After the data analyzed, it was found that the experts’ judgment result was 4.80 which had a very good criteria interval. The result of the research find that interactive media is a very good to be used in teaching speaking skill.
