Due to the rise of modern online shopping, it has become an important force to promote the development of e-commerce. E-commerce is growing rapidly, the volume of express delivery business has increased , the quality of "last kilometer" delivery service is particularly important. In this paper, analytic hierarchy process (AHP) is used to find out the main factors of affecting the quality of delivery service in the "last kilometer ", so as to put forward the strategy of improving the quality of distribution service.

Many companies recently have been choosing information technology (IT) outsourcing in response to complicated information systems and various internal requirements. In order to monitor and maintain a high quality of IT outsourcing vendors’ services, it is necessary to develop a system to evaluate IT outsourcing customer satisfaction. The system can be used as a tool for choosing IT outsourcing providers. Through the literature reviews and expert interviews, we propose the evaluation system of the IT outsourcing customer satisfaction. Using AHP (analytic hierarchy process) technique, attributes associated with customer satisfaction in IT outsourcing environments are then rated in terms of their importance. The customer satisfaction evaluation system is applied to IT outsourcing service receivers in Korea to demonstrate its practical implications.

Soil erosion is a global environmental problem. The affecting main factors for soil erosion processes are different due to the specific areas. The calculated results of soil erosion, by Ha Quang Hai and Tran Tuan Tu, demonstrated that Song Be basin is eroded very huge, about 321 tons/ha/year. The article is based on factors proposed by R.P.C Morgan in 2005, using the analytic hierarchy process AHP (Thomas L. Saaty, 1970) to determine the weights for these factors. Since then, the article concluded main factors affecting soil erosion at Song Be basin. Research results showed that the Terrain factor has the largest weight (0.30), followed by two factors: Plant cover (0.29) and Rain (0.28). The article also identified four main factors impacting on the soil erosion at Song Be basin, including: slope, land cover ratio, intensity of rainfall and slope length. These results will be the basis for subsequent studies to adjust USLE model more applicably for erosion characteristics in the researched area.

Information attacks are a constant threat to every organization. To protect their sensitive information, organizations implement general information technology controls. An example of such controls includes system change controls (or change management controls), which are critical in ensuring the integrity, completeness, and reliability of financial information. The literature points to various evaluation methods of these controls to determine which ones to implement. The literature further shows how traditional assessment methods do not necessarily promote an effective evaluation, prioritization, and, therefore, implementation of system change controls in organizations. Alarming facts within the literature trigger analyses and identification of additional methods to assist organizations in protecting their sensitive and critical information. This research proposes a quantitative approach to assist management in evaluating system change controls using the Analytic Hierarchy Process. Through a case study, the approach is proven successful in providing a way for measuring the quality of system change controls in organizations.

Abstract Maintenance preventive (PM) on equipment is a very important issue for an effective manufacturing system, since the improper MP might cause many problems affecting productivity, precision, flexibility and quality of the products negatively. On the other hand, analysis of MP equipment among many alternatives can be a multicriteria decision making (MCDM) problem. In this study, an integrated approach which employs analytic hierarchy process (AHP) and preference ranking elements, is proposed for the MP equipment of 3D printer machine. The AHP is used to analyze the structure of the equipment problems and to determine weights of the criteria, and this method is used to obtain final ranking. Proposed approach is applied to a problem of 3D printer machines to be established a MP strategy.

Today, the use of herbal medicine like artichoke is rapidly increasing worldwide. The consumption of artichoke as a food source is raising too. Therefore, it is necessary to determine the main factors affecting the growth of this plant which is investigated in this study. A comprehensive analysis of the literature is performed to detect these factors. A fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) is employed to prioritize the factors. Results indicate that the conditions of irrigation and soil are the most important ones. In addition, the best conditions for artichoke growth are the medium level of irrigation, soil with suitable drainage, low temperature and sufficient sunlight.

Trust investigation in Business-To-Customer (B2C) E-commerce is usually based on analyzing relative compositions of B2C E-commerce, and mainly focuses on direct perceived trust of consumers. But in real B2C E-commerce, recommended trust of mature consumer is an important channel to enhance trust for a new consumer. A recommended trust evaluation method in B2C E-commerce is proposed based on fuzzy analytic hierarchy process. Firstly, compositions that affect online trust in B2C electronic-commerce are analyzed comprehensively. An individual trust evaluation system is established. Furthermore, for a new consumer, using trust evaluations of multiple mature consumers that he/she is familiar with, the study adopts fuzzy analytic hierarchy process to build composite recommended trust evaluation method. Finally, the proposed recommended trust evaluation method is applied to evaluate recommended trust of real B2C online shopping. It simulates the process of trust evaluating of a new consumer and illustrates the validity of proposed recommended trust evaluation method.

In converged networking, the evaluation of network performance is completed by analyzing the key performance indexes which can reflect the states of network from the point of user view and integrated results should be evaluated by user or quality of experiences. This paper proposes the algorithm for evaluation of network performance based on the fuzzy analytic hierarchy process that utilizes strategy data and key performance indexes to calculate the integrated results of evaluation. The result provides the necessary reference for the real-time monitoring of network.

Bread is considered as a prime item of cereal intake globally. Due to the rising public health concerns and their dietary needs, importance of identifying the factors in bread making, and taking necessary action plans can hardly be overemphasized. Moreover, to be competitive in business it is crucial for any bread maker to address the manufacturing factors or attributes to reduce the rejection level due to poor quality. This study makes an attempt to identify those attributes and rank them through application of analytic hierarchy process (AHP). The questionnaire is prepared to judge the ranking of initially identified five prime attributes such as ingredient quality, processing time and procedure, environment and workers’ skill. The responses by the manager, supervisor, line leader and quality control inspector on pair-wise comparison scale are collected and analyzed by using Expert Choice software along with the verification of inconsistency value. According to the results, quality of ingredient is ranked first followed by the processing time of the bread, production procedure, worker’s skill, and production environment. Since the inconsistency level is found to be below the threshold value, policies can be adopted safely in accordance with the ranking of factors to uphold the quality of bread and reduce the rejection level.
