Recognition of the human activities in videos has gathered numerous demands in various applications of computer vision like Ambient Assisted Living, intelligent surveillance, Human-Computer interaction. One of the most pioneering techniques for Human Detection in Video Surveillance based on deep learning and this project mainly focuses on various approaches based on that. This paper provides an idea of solution to use video surveillance more effectively, by detecting any humans present and notifying the concerned people. The deep learning model, preferred for fast computation, Convolution Neural Network is used by stacking 3 blocks of layers on fully connected layers. This provided an identification of humans and naïve approach to eliminate inanimate human like objects such as mannequins.

Lane detection is an important foundation in the development of intelligent vehicles. To address problems such as low detection accuracy of traditional methods and poor real-time performance of deep learning-based methodologies, a lane detection algorithm for intelligent vehicles in complex road conditions and dynamic environments was proposed. Firstly, converting the distorted image and using the superposition threshold algorithm for edge detection, an aerial view of the lane was obtained via region of interest extraction and inverse perspective transformation. Secondly, the random sample consensus algorithm was adopted to fit the curves of lane lines based on the third-order B-spline curve model, and fitting evaluation and curvature radius calculation were then carried out on the curve. Lastly, by using the road driving video under complex road conditions and the Tusimple dataset, simulation test experiments for lane detection algorithm were performed. The experimental results show that the average detection accuracy based on road driving video reached 98.49%, and the average processing time reached 21.5 ms. The average detection accuracy based on the Tusimple dataset reached 98.42%, and the average processing time reached 22.2 ms. Compared with traditional methods and deep learning-based methodologies, this lane detection algorithm had excellent accuracy and real-time performance, a high detection efficiency and a strong anti-interference ability. The accurate recognition rate and average processing time were significantly improved. The proposed algorithm is crucial in promoting the technological level of intelligent vehicle driving assistance and conducive to the further improvement of the driving safety of intelligent vehicles.

Human detection and tracking have been progressively demanded in various industries. The concern over human safety has inhibited the deployment of advanced and collaborative robotics, mainly attributed to the dimensionality limitation of present safety sensing. This study entails developing a deep learning-based human presence detector for deployment in smart factory environments to overcome dimensionality limitations. The objective is to develop a suitable human presence detector based on state-of-the-art YOLO variation to achieve real-time detection with high inference accuracy for feasible deployment at TT Vision Holdings Berhad. It will cover the fundamentals of modern deep learning based object detectors and the methods to accomplish the human presence detection task. The YOLO family of object detectors have truly revolutionized the Computer Vision and object detection industry and have continuously evolved since its development. At present, the most recent variation of YOLO includes YOLOv4 and YOLOv4 - Tiny. These models are acquired and pre-evaluated on the public CrowdHuman benchmark dataset. These algorithms mentioned are pre-trained on the CrowdHuman models and benchmarked at the preliminary stage. YOLOv4 and YOLOv4 – Tiny are trained on the CrowdHuman dataset for 4000 iterations and achieved a mean Average Precision of 78.21% at 25FPS and 55.59% 80FPS, respectively. The models are further fine-tuned on a  Custom CCTV dataset and achieved significant precision improvements up to 88.08% at 25 FPS and 77.70% at 80FPS, respectively. The final evaluation justified YOLOv4 as the most feasible model for deployment.
