ABSTRACTOrchid epiphytes are orchids that attach to parts of plant such as stems, branches, or twigs that are still alive or dead. This study aims to determine the composition of epiphytic orchid species and their host species in the conservation area of Gunung Tilu, West Java. This research uses descriptive method with quantitative approach. This research was conducted from January to March 2017 in Gambung Block that exist in natural reserve of Gunung Tilu, West Java. The results showed that epiphytic orchid species found in Gambung Block, Gunung Tilu Natural Reserve as many as 15 species. The species of host plant that places the epiphytic orchid consists of eight species, namely Altingia excelsa, Lithocarpus pallidus, Schima wallichii, Ficus pistulosa, Castanopsis argantea, Phobea grandis, Castanopsis cuspidate, and Trema amboinensis. Epiphytic orchids are widely distributed in three plant zone, i.e zone two, three and four. Keywords: Orchid epiphytes, Gunung Tilu, host plant, distribution ABSTRAK Anggrek epifit adalah anggrek yang menempel pada bagian pohon seperti batang, dahan, atau ranting pohon yang masih hidup maupun yang sudah mati. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui komposisi spesies anggrek epifit dan jenis pohon inangnya di kawasan konservasi cagar alam Gunung Tilu, Jawa Barat. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Januari sampai Maret 2017 di blok gambung yang ada pada cagar alam Gunung Tilu, Jawa Barat. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa spesies anggrek epifit yang terdapat di blok gambung, Cagar Alam Gunung Tilu sebanyak 15 spesies. Jenis pohon inang yang menjadi tempat tinggal anggrek epifit terdiri atas delapan spesies yaitu Altingia excelsa, Lithocarpus pallidus, Schima wallichii, Ficus pistulosa, Castanopsis argantea, Phobea grandis, Castanopsis cuspidate, dan Trema amboinensis. Anggrek epifit terdistribusi luas pada tiga zona pohon yaitu pada zona dua, tiga dan empat. Kata Kunci: anggrek epifit, Gunung Tilu, pohon Inang, distribusi

Schima wallichii Choisy. is a mostly montane species native to the island of Java; it grows on degraded land areas and is widely used for forest restoration. We studied the vertical distribution of epiphytic orchids on these trees in montane forest on Mt. Sanggara, West Java, Indonesia. To this end, 40 S. wallichii trees with diameter at breast height (DBH) > 20 cm were chosen haphazardly and their epiphytic orchids were identified The diameter and height of each host tree were measured. The position of each epiphytic orchid on each host tree was allocated to one of five zones using Johansson’s method. In total, 39 epiphytic orchid species were identified on 40 host trees at the study site. There was no significant difference in orchid abundance or species richness between crown zones. However, there were significant differences in orchid abundance and species richness between trunks and crowns. Host tree size (DBH) and the number of branches were positively correlated with orchid abundance and species richness. The numbers of orchids and other epiphytic plants were positively correlated in the mid-crown and outer-crown. S. wallichii trees are essential for the epiphytic orchid community because they produce many branches that are suitable for colonization.

Di dalam sebuah naskah berita media cetak, terdapat bagian yang agak menjorok ke dalam yang disebut dengan paragraf. Dari kumpulan paragraf inilah para pembaca menerima segala informasi terkait hal-hal yang dibacanya. Meskipun industri media mengalami perkembangan, media cetak masih mendapat perhatian yang cukup besar dari khalayak hingga saat ini. Agar tidak kehilangan pembacanya, media cetak harus menyajikan berita-berita yang akurat dan mendalam dari peristiwa-peristiwa yang terjadi dalam masyarakat. Keakuratan sebuah berita tergantung pada setiap kalimat yang terdapat dalam paragraf yang baik karena paragraf merupakan kesatuan kecil dalam naskah berita untuk menyampaikan suatu maksud. Sebuah paragraf yang baik di antaranya harus memiliki unsur kesatuan, kepaduan, kelengkapan, dan keruntutan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkapkan metode pola pengembangan paragraf yang ada dalam naskah berita utama di koran yang ada di wilayah Kota Cirebon dan Bogor Jawa Barat. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa secara umum, Pola pengembangan paragraf pembuka dalam naskah berita utama di koran yang terbit di wilayah Cirebon dan Bogor Jawa Barat terdiri atas tiga metode, yaitu kronologi, sebab-akibat, dan ilustrasi.    In the news script of print media, there is a part that is indented that we called paragraph. From the unity of these paragraphs, the readers can receive all the information related to the things that they've read. Although the industry of media has developed, until now print media still have considerable attention from the public. In order not to lose its reader, print media must present in-depth and accurate news from the events and incidents that occur in society. The accuracy of news depends on each sentence contained in a good paragraph because the paragraph is a small unit of news script that's used to convey an intention. A good paragraph must include these elements of unity, cohesion, completeness, and coherence. This study aimed to reveal the method of the development pattern of opening paragraph in headlines script of the newspapers published in the City of Bogor and Cirebon, West Java Province. This study used a qualitative approach with descriptive method. The result of this study showed that generally, the development pattern of opening paragraph in headlines script of newspapers published in the City of Bogor and Cirebon consists of three methods, namely chronology, causation, and illustration.

The endophytic microbiota can establish mutualistic or commensalistic interactions within the host plant tissues. We investigated the bacterial endophytic microbiota in three species of Mediterranean orchids (Neottia ovata, Serapias vomeracea, and Spiranthes spiralis) by metabarcoding of the 16S rRNA gene. We examined whether the different orchid species and organs, both underground and aboveground, influenced the endophytic bacterial communities. A total of 1,930 operational taxonomic units (OTUs) were obtained, mainly Proteobacteria and Actinobacteria, whose distribution model indicated that the plant organ was the main determinant of the bacterial community structure. The co-occurrence network was not modular, suggesting a relative homogeneity of the microbiota between both plant species and organs. Moreover, the decrease in species richness and diversity in the aerial vegetative organs may indicate a filtering effect by the host plant. We identified four hub OTUs, three of them already reported as plant-associated taxa (Pseudoxanthomonas, Rhizobium, and Mitsuaria), whereas Thermus was an unusual member of the plant microbiota. Core microbiota analysis revealed a selective and systemic ascent of bacterial communities from the vegetative to the reproductive organs. The core microbiota was also maintained in the S. spiralis seeds, suggesting a potential vertical transfer of the microbiota. Surprisingly, some S. spiralis seed samples displayed a very rich endophytic microbiota, with a large number of OTUs shared with the roots, a situation that may lead to a putative restoring process of the root-associated microbiota in the progeny. Our results indicate that the bacterial community has adapted to colonize the orchid organs selectively and systemically, suggesting an active involvement in the orchid holobiont.

Indramayu is one of coastal area in North Java many encountered caused impact by climate change, this seemed from storm intensity, abrasion and flood that happened more frequent. One of the management effort to reduce these impacts is the conservation. Conservation planning integrated into one form designation of conservation areas. This research aim was to determine the variable of coastal resources that are related to protection and gave the alternative plan of conservation area as an effort to brought back Cimanuk Delta condition toward climate change. The plan in scenario one generated core zone about 97,27 km2, limited utilization zone 75,35 km², sustainable fisheries zone 149,30 km², and others zone 116,07 km² of total aquatic study in Coastal of Indramayu (Delta Cimanuk) that have a total area about 437,9890 km². The plan in scenario two generated core zone about 102,07 km², and the plan in scenario three generated core zone about 120,45 km. Overall, the location that always selected as a conservation area located around Cemara, Pabean Ilir, Cantigi and Pagirikan Coastal area.
