Reflexividad, identidad y reconocimiento en la sociología crítica contemporánea

En el presente artículo, se subraya la importancia que tiene el concepto de reflexividad para el desarrollo de la sociología crítica contemporánea. La hipótesis que orienta nuestro argumento es que, para comprender los procesos de cambio social, es necesario establecer un vínculo fuerte entre el concepto de identidad y los procesos de transformación social a partir de la categoría de reconocimiento. Para desarrollar esta hipótesis, en primer lugar, reconstruiremos parte del debate franco-británico a propósito de las posibilidades y límites que tiene la sociología crítica de Pierre Bourdieu para teorizar el problema de la reflexividad; en segundo lugar, desarrollaremos las principales críticas que Axel Honneth realiza a este proyecto, junto con identificar los principales elementos de su teoría del reconocimiento.

O artigo desenvolve a categoria Cultura do Reconhecimento como aporte teórico para analisar as transformações produzidas pelas ações afirmativas nas universidades brasileiras. Realizaram-se revisão bibliográfica e observações participantes na UFRGS. O trabalho se apoia na noção de habitus de Pierre Bourdieu, na teoria do reconhecimento de Axel Honneth e na produção de Nancy Fraser acerca da paridade participativa. As ações afirmativas podem promover uma cultura do reconhecimento nas instituições? Conclui-se que foram dados os primeiros passos para a materialização da cultura do reconhecimento e, por outro lado, propõe-se um conjunto de ações para desenvolvê-la de forma mais plena.

Os conceitos são as ferramentas utilizadas pelos cientistas das Humanidades para a labuta intelectual. Artefatos substantivos, os conceitos diferenciam uma análise científica do senso comum. Este ensaio pretende debater uma dessas ferramentas, o conceito de conflito social. Diante dos últimos acontecimentos no mundo e, mais recentemente, no Brasil, este conceito tende a ganhar cada vez mais destaque. Entretanto, ainda há carências teóricas para organizar o debate acadêmico, sob o risco de superficialidade. Propõe-se aqui, amparado por pensadores como Pierre Bourdieu, Georg Simmel, E. P. Thompson e Axel Honneth, uma abordagem que extrapola a interpretação utilitarista do conceito. Dessa forma, espera-se contribuir para o entendimento dos movimentos sociais pretéritos, históricos, e atuais, sociológicos.

Pierre Bourdieu and Axel Honneth: Sociological versus social-philosophical critique of the theory of recognition This special issue of Dansk Sociologi on “Pierre Bourdieu & Axel Honneth“ com¬mences with a discussion between Pierre Bourdieu and Axel Honneth from 1984. It outlines their different positions as regards the relation to social-philo¬so¬phical critique and to the concept of recognition. Sociological critique and social-philosophical critique have always had areas of conflict. Sociology has avoi¬ded creating normative criteria to evaluate societal development, while hand social-philosophy insists on normative criteria for what can been seen as moral progress. It is argued that, even though Bourdieu and Honneth initially represent different perspectives, a closer comparison between these two sociologists may contribute to a more elaborated and critical social theory.

Pierre Bourdieu, Axel Honneth, Hermann Kocyba & Bernd Schwibs: The Struggle for Symbolic Order – An Interview with Pierre Bourdieu This interview with Bourdieu concerns six main topics: (1) the intellectual climate in France after the Second World War, (2) the ethnological turn, (3) overcoming structuralism, (4) the symbolic forms of domination, (5) problems of philosophical grounding, and finally (6) sociological research in relation to political practice. During the interview, Bourdieu describes his early dissatisfaction with the existentialist trend dominating France after the war and with the snobbish in¬tellectualism existing at the Ecole Normale Superieure. He also explains how his eth¬nological studies took form, namely as a moral and political reaction to the conflicts in Algeria, where he was on duty as a conscript. He explains how these studies developed into an analysis of the expectations and experiences of the proletariat and the lumpen proletariat. After rejecting structuralism, the interview focuses on important concepts such as “habitus“ and “rule-following“. It brings out the discrepancy between Honneth’s and Bourdieu’s position on the relation between the “living subject“ on the one hand and group-oriented, socially determined goals on the other. Next, Bourdieu’s main theory of the symbolic forms of domination is discussed, including the empirical research behind it and the “personal“ motives for adopting it. Despite many common ideas, however, the differences between the critical tradition, to which Honneth belongs, and Bourdieu’s thinking remain. Honneth sees an implicit “utilitarian“ premise in Bourdieu’s theory, an interpretation Bourdieu strongly rejects.

Resumo: O presente artigo tem como objetivo a descrição histórica da avaliação por pares no Conselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico (CNPq). Metodologicamente aliou-se um levantamento quantitativo das bolsas implementadas anualmente pelo órgão durante o período que vai de 1951 até 2015 com uma análise documental do corpus normativo do CNPq. As fontes primárias foram os dados disponibilizados pelo Centro de Memória do CNPq assim como o conjunto de Resoluções Normativas relacionadas à Avaliação por Pares elaborados pelo Conselho durante o citado período. O referencial teórico que fundamentou tal análise centrou-se nos conceitos de Campo Científico de Pierre Bourdieu e Reconhecimento de Axel Honneth. Como resultado, conclui-se que o crescimento no número de bolsas assim como o das normas ligadas a Avaliação por Pares acabou por provocar o abandono de critérios vagos e pessoais como “reputação” – típicos da esfera dos afetos, nos termos de Honneth – dando lugar a gradual ampliação de normas mais minuciosas e formais que regulam desde a escrita dos pareceres até o comportamento dos avaliadores.Palavras-chave: Avaliação por Pares. Reconhecimento. THE INSTITUTION OF PEER REVIEW IN CNPQ AND ITS LIMITS (1975 – 2015)Abstract: This paper analyzes peer review development in CNPq from 1975 to 2015 based on the concepts of theoretical references from Pierre Bourdieu's Scientific Field and Axel Honneth's Recognition. It accomplishes a diachronic reconstruction of peer review practices using as primary source the advisory bodies and committees’ and ad hoc consultants’ rules. This reconstruction was contextualized using the criteria of the institutional Counsel History and interpreted according to the mentioned theoretical references. I conclude that peer evaluation practices gradually set up Recognition among scientific community members in the sphere of law, reduced informality in primary relations and entailed mediating rules for impersonal relations in Brazilian scientific community.Keywords: Peer Review. This paper provides us with an understanding of Bourdieu's theory. How the tolerance between Muslims and Hinduism comes as a religion that upholds the values of tolerance. The Islam and Hinduism communities of Lingsar are able to fortify and form harmony and even become a direction for religions outside the village of Lingsar that still form a harmony between both communities of Islam and Hindu. In Lingsar village there are two different Islam and Hindu religious communities but in their daily life they are able to create a peaceful and harmonious life. Thus Lingsar Village should be used as a village that maintains tolerance in religious attitude. The study looked at Bourdeiu's viewpoint of habitus, ranging from the concept of harmony to society, the advent of Islam and Hinduism in Lombok, and the harmonious relation between Islam and Hinduism in the ritual frame and festival of the show.

Iman Budhi Santosa (IBS) di arena sastra Yogyakarta dikenal sebagai penyair legitimet, baik dipandang dari kualitas karya maupun konsekrasi dalam dunia sastra. Posisi IBS berkaitan erat dengan Persada Studi Klub (PSK), komunitas sastra yang dibimbing oleh Umbu Landu Paranggi. Penelitian ini akan mengkaji strategi IBS dalam mencapai posisi saat ini. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui strategi IBS dalam mencapai posisi penyair saat ini dengan menggunakan teori sosiologi Pierre Bourdieu. Penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif. Dari hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa IBS cenderung meng-gunakan strategi simbolik dalam pencapaiannya sebagai penyair dan posisinya sebagai pengasuh para penulis.Iman Budhi Santosa (IBS) in Yogyakarta literary arena known as a legitimate poet, either seen from his works quality or his consecration in the literary world. IBS position is closely related to Persada Studi Club (PSK), which is guided by Umbu Landu Paranggi. This study investigates the IBS strategy in achieving his current position. The research aims to find out IBS strategy in achieving the poet current position by using Pierre Bourdieu sociology theory. The research is a descriptive study. The analysis shows that IBS tends to use symbolic strategy in his achievement as a poet and his position as a tutor for writers.
