Industrial enterprises are responsible for increasing production waste. The purpose of the research is to develop tools of material resources management in lean production for sheet metal cutting at engineering enterprises with single or serial types of production. At the previous stages of the research, a situational analysis of the cutting process was conducted, a literature review was carried out, and the main provisions of the sorting method of sheet metal material resources after cutting were defined for dividing them into groups of business or non-business material resources. The main provisions of the proposed method are specified in this article. Further research tasks are also identified.

In the context of the Moscow healthcare reform that has been carried out in recent years, the issues of evaluating the effectiveness of financing the healthcare system and the performance of medical organizations in providing medical care to the population are particularly relevant. Given the limited public resources allocated to the health sector, the quality of management of available financial, human and material resources is becoming more important. The article considers the application of the method of assessing the quality of resource management, introduced in Moscow since 2016, and its results in terms of evaluating the effectiveness of financial resources. It is revealed that the effectiveness of financial resources management is influenced by certain indicators that characterize the organization of management of the main activities of a medical organization.

In a market economy, it becomes important to improve the organization of enterprise management and, above all, the production process, efficient use of financial, material resources and inventories. Effective management of material resources increases profits and provides the necessary investment. To maintain high profitability and liquidity, the management of current activities of enterprises, in particular inventory management plays a significant role. The categorical apparatus of material resources management at the enterprise is considered, the definition of “material resources” is generalized, the definition of "material resources management" is offered, and also the system of material resources management at the enterprise is considered. In the management of material resources at the enterprise there are 2 approaches – logistics and reengineering. The main tasks of the mechanism of management of material resources of the enterprise of building materials are defined. These are: increasing the efficiency of material resources and choosing cheap sources of funding; introduction of new production, resource-saving technologies; minimization of costs for procurement, production and marketing activities; increasing the interest of employees of all services in the effective performance of their duties; product quality management. The analysis of efficiency of use of material resources at the enterprises of building materials which has shown, that manufacture of production is rather material-intensive is carried out. This is evidenced by the share of material costs in the cost of work, and the value of the utilization factor of materials indicates the economical use of material resources in production. Reserves for improving the efficiency of material resources at construction materials enterprises have been identified. The ways of the most rational use of material resources of construction materials enterprises are offered, in particular it is improvement of a design and technology of manufacturing of products, introduction of more progressive norms of expenses of resources, use of substitute materials, and reduction of losses at stages of transportation, storage and industrial use.

Abstract Origami concept came up as an emerging technique for sheet metal bending or folding and is called as Origami-based sheet metal (OSM) folding. This process fits right in criteria of effectiveness, efficiency, and sustainable manufacturing due to minimal resources required to make the fold or bend. In this process, the line was created on which the bend was supposed to perform. Traditionally the intermittent material was removed from that line with a through cut. Then the bend was performed. During bending the force required was very less and thus it can also be called as easy bend operation. Because the material and removed all the way through the thickness of the metal, these part after bending cannot be used to contain particles smaller than the cut width or liquid solution due to leakage issue. To overcome this issue, this paper investigates the material discontinuities with a blind cut, where the material through the thickness was not completely removed. For this 4 sample types were created. Three additional variables were added in placing the sample during bend operation. Experiments were performed and bending deformation and springback were analyzed. After analyzing the results, it was found that significant thickness difference regions in the sample, smaller clearance, smaller width or cut, and width of cut facing punch are the best variable to have a better bending and less springback.

AbstractIn order to reduce fuel consumption and thus pollutant emissions, the automotive industry is increasingly developing lightweight construction concepts that are accompanied by an increasing usage of aluminum materials. Due to poor weldability of aluminum in combination with other materials, mechanical joining methods such as clinching were developed and established in series production. In order to predict the relevant characteristics of clinched joints and to ensure the reliability of the process, it is simulated numerically during product development processes. In this regard, the predictive accuracy of the simulated process highly depends on the implemented friction model. In particular, the frictional behavior between the sheet metals as well as between the sheet metal and clinching tools has a significant impact on the geometrical formation of the clinched joint. No testing methods exist that can sufficiently investigate the frictional behavior in sheet materials, especially under high interface pressures, different relative velocities, and long friction paths, while allowing a decoupled consideration of the test parameters. This paper describes the development of further testing concepts based on a proven tribo-torsion test method for determining friction coefficients between sheet metal materials for the simulation of clinching processes. For this purpose, the correlation of interface pressure and the relative velocity between aluminum and steel sheet material in clinching processes is investigated using numerical simulation. Based on these findings, the developed concepts focus on determining friction coefficients at interface pressures of the above materials, yield stress, as well as the reproduction of the occurring friction conditions between sheet metal materials and tool surfaces in clinching processes using tool substitutes. Furthermore, wear investigations between sheet metal material and tool surface were carried out in the friction tests with subsequent EDX analyses of the frictioned tool surfaces. The developed method also allows an optical deformation measurement of the sheet metal material specimen by means of digital image correlation (DIC). Based on a methodological approach, the test setups and the test systems used are explained, and the functionality of the concepts is proven by experimental tests using different sheet metal materials.

Information Technology (IT) plays an important role in organizations, particularly in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). These firms have a simple structure with less specialized tasks and tight human, financial and material resources, so it is particularly important to use an appropriate IT governance framework (ITG) to such enterprises. This paper shows the results of applying an ITG framework designed for SMEs in a case study focused on IT Human Resources (IT HR) and the lessons learned. Conclusions highlight the importance of the quality of IT HR along with the key role played by related enterprise policies.
