This article is based on the fact that problem-solving is a basic skill that every student should possess. To improve the student`s mindset through the effort to find problem-solving independently, so the learning activities should be centered on the students. The purpose of this study is to determine the comparison and improvement of students mathematical problem-solving abilities, as well as student attitudes toward the learning model problem-centered learning and problem-based learning. The research method used was a quasi-experiment with purposive sampling. The first experimental class that was class VIII I that got problem-centered learning model as much as 31 students, and the second experimental class that was class VIII H who got the problem-based learning model as many as 31 students. From the research and statistical calculations result, obtained the conclusion that the mathematical problem-solving ability students who got the model centered learning problem was better than students who got the model of learning problem-based learning. Meanwhile, for improvement of problem-solving abilities of mathematical students who got the learning model problem-centered learning and problem based learning each intermediate interpretation. And generally, the students’ attitude to the learning of mathematics by using the learning model problem-centered learning and problem-based learning are well interpreted.

This study aims to determine whether the improvement of students' mathematical problem solving skills that get the learning of Model-Eliciting Activities is better than students who get regular learning. Method in this research is experiment and research design pretest and postest in experiment and control class. The population in this study were all students of MTs Kota Cimahi. School samples were taken at random, and obtained by MTs Negeri Kota Cimahi. Then the sample is selected two class VIII at random class. The experimental class uses Model-Eliciting Activities, while the control class uses ordinary learning. The hypothesis in this research is the improvement of student solving abilities of MTs students in Cimahi whose learning using Model-Eliciting Activities is better than using ordinary learning. Research data obtained through the instrument of posttest mathematical problem solving ability. The posttest data is processed by normality test, homogeneity test, and two average difference test using SPSS (Statistical Product and Service Solution) software version 16.0 for Windows. The results showed that the improvement of problem solving ability of MTs students in Cimahi whose learning using Model-Eliciting Activities was better than those using ordinary learning.

<p class="JRPMAbstractBodyEnglish">This study aims to examine the effectiveness of Problem Based Learning (PBL) assisted by QR code on students’ mathematical problem solving ability. This experimental research was carried out on students of the Elementary School Teacher Education Study ProgramUniversitas Muria Kudus in the mathematical concept course in the academic year of 2016/2017. The ability to solve mathematical problems is measured by tests. Data analysis techniques used include t-test and proportion test. The results of this study are: 1) the mathematical problem solving ability of students who learn through PBL assisted by QR code is better than the mathematical problem solving ability of students who learn through Direct Instruction learning; 2) the mathematical problem solving ability of students who are taught with PBL assisted by QR code have reached the minimum completeness criteria (MCC) and 3) the proportion of students taught with PBL assisted by QR code that has reached the MCC is better than the proportion of students studying through Direct Instruction learning that have met the minimum completeness criteria (MCC). Thus, the lecturer can develop PBL assisted by QR code to create interesting learning so that students are enthusiastic about the learning, which will have a positive effect on their mathematical problem solving ability.</p>

Analysis of Students' Problem Solving Abilities Based on Early Mathematical Ability AbstractThe lack of students' mathematical problem-solving skills causes students to be less able to solve problems that are non-routine and students are still lacking in developing their ideas and abilities. This study aims to determine students 'mathematical problem-solving abilities through the Problem Based Learning model based on students' Early Mathematical Ability (KAM). The research method used is qualitative. The results of this study indicate that students' mathematical problem-solving abilities through the Problem Based Learning model are better. The sample in this study were students of class VIII-7 Middle School 12 Padang consisting of 32 people. Students who were initially low-skilled increased to moderate-capable students with an increase of 75%. Students who were initially classified as capable were increasing to high-ability students by 26%. Students can 1) understand the problem, 2) draw up a settlement plan, 3) carry out the solution, and 4) re-check the answers.

This research is aimed to investigate the students’ problem-solving competency after learn by using discovery learning model and students’ problem-solving ability after learn by using problem-based learning model. Therefore, this research is aimed to investigate differences problem-solving ability of mathematics between students who get discovery learning model and problem-based learning model. The population used in this research was a student in grade VII in one of junior high school in West Bandung Regency. The sample was student class VII B for the first experiment class and VII C for the second experiment class with 35 students in every class. The method in this research was a quasi experiment by using two group post-test only design. The instrument in this research is post-test about problem-solving of mathematics. Based on the research, it can be concluded that there is a difference between the mathematical problem-solving competency of students who get discovery learning model and problem-based learning model. Nevertheless, the qualification of problem-solving competency between of students who gets discovery learning model and problem-based learning model, are including the medium category

This study aims to determine the effect of using student worksheet (LKPD) based on the Problem Based Learning model on the mathematical problem solving abilities of students of class VIII SMP Negeri 2 Pangean. This type of research was a quasi-experimental study with a pretest – posttest control group design. The population was all students of SMP Negeri 2 Pangean Indonesia in the 2019/2020 school year. Sampling method was using random sampling technique. Based on the results of data analysis, the posttest mean score in the experimental class was 85.45 and the average value in the control class was 54.5, meaning that the average value of the experimental class was higher than the control class. The two-mean difference test using the t test was significant (2-tailed) 0.000 <α = 0.05, which means that the posttest score of students 'mathematical problem solving abilities was different from the average posttest score of students' mathematical problem solving abilities. which uses scientific learning. So it can be concluded that there is an effect of the Problem Based Learning model on students' mathematical problem solving abilities.

<p>This study aimed to examine the effectiveness of mobile blended compared to conventional problem-based learning on mathematical problem-solving skills and look for students' responses about the use of online learning. The study was conducted using a pretest-posttest quasi-experimental research design supported with descriptive qualitative responses involving 188 students taken by applying cluster random sampling as subjects of research distributed from vocational high schools in <em>Bojonegoro</em> City, East Java, Indonesia. Research findings revealed that mathematical problem-solving skills for students treated with mobile blended problem-based learning were higher than those who have been treated with purely problem-based learning. In addition, students have responded positively to the usage of mobile blended problem-based learning that was applicable and acceptable for effectively improving mathematical problem-solving skills.</p>
