<p class="JRPMAbstractBodyEnglish">This study aims to examine the effectiveness of Problem Based Learning (PBL) assisted by QR code on students’ mathematical problem solving ability. This experimental research was carried out on students of the Elementary School Teacher Education Study ProgramUniversitas Muria Kudus in the mathematical concept course in the academic year of 2016/2017. The ability to solve mathematical problems is measured by tests. Data analysis techniques used include t-test and proportion test. The results of this study are: 1) the mathematical problem solving ability of students who learn through PBL assisted by QR code is better than the mathematical problem solving ability of students who learn through Direct Instruction learning; 2) the mathematical problem solving ability of students who are taught with PBL assisted by QR code have reached the minimum completeness criteria (MCC) and 3) the proportion of students taught with PBL assisted by QR code that has reached the MCC is better than the proportion of students studying through Direct Instruction learning that have met the minimum completeness criteria (MCC). Thus, the lecturer can develop PBL assisted by QR code to create interesting learning so that students are enthusiastic about the learning, which will have a positive effect on their mathematical problem solving ability.</p>

This research is motivated by the low ability of mathematical problem solving of high school students who need a learning approach to overcome the problem. Alternative approach used is problem-based learning approach. This study aims to examine whether the problem-solving ability of mathematical students using problem-based learning is better than using ordinary learning. The research method used is experimental method. At the end of the learning the two classes were given a test. The population in this study were high school students in SMAN 2 Cimalaka class XI, while the sample consisted of two classes chosen at random. The data collection in this research is a test of five questions, then the scores of mathematical problem solving abilities are analyzed by descriptive statistics and inferential statistic using two difference test average. Based on the results of research, both from data analysis and hypothesis testing, the authors conclude that the problem solving ability of mathematical students using problem-based learning is better than using ordinary learning.

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi dengan rendahnya kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa serta strategi pembelajaran yang masih bertumpu pada guru. Salah satu alternatifnya yakni diterapkalah strategi pembelajaran Problem Based Learning, karena strategi ini diharapakan dapat meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk mengetahui pencapaian akhir dan peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa yang menggunakan strategi pembelajaran Problem Based Learning lebih baik dari pada siswa yang menggunakan strategi pembelajaran Inkuiri. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi ekperiment dengan desain non-equivalent control group. Teknik sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling, dimana kelas IV-A sebagai kelas ekperimen dan kelas IV-B sebagai kelas kontrol. Hasil analisis data menunjukan rata-rata skor posttest kelas ekperimen 75,03 dan kelas kontrol 68,7. Rata-rata data Gain kelas ekperimen 0,59 dan kelas kontrol 0,51. Hasil analisis tersebut memberikan kesimpulan bahwa pencapaian akhir dan peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa kelas ekperimen lebih baik daripada kelas kontrol.The research is motivated by the low mathematical problem solving abilities of students and learning strategies that are still based on the teacher. One of the alternative is to apply the learning strategies of Problem Based Learning, because this strategy is expected to improve students' mathematical problem solving abilities. This study has a goal whether the final achievement and improvement of students' mathematical problem solving abilities using Problem Based Learning learning strategies is better than students who use Inquiry learning strategies. The research method used was a quasi experiment with a non-equivalent control group design. The sample technique used purposive sampling technique, where class IV-A as the experimental class and class IV-B as the control class. The results of data analysis showed an average posttest score of experimental class 75.03 and control class 68.7. The average Gain data of the experimental class is 0.59 and the control class is 0.51. The results of the analysis provide the conclusion that the final achievement and improvement of experimental class mathematical problem solving abilities are better than the control class.

ABSTRAK Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui perbedaan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran kontekstual dengan siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran berbasis masalah yang dianalisis melalui lembar jawaban siswa Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Salapian dengan sampel penelitian adalah Kelas VII-B yang diberikan perlakukan pembelajaran kontekstual dan kelas VII-C yang diberikan perlakuan pembelajaran berbasis masalah. Terdapat perbedaan kemamuan pemecahan masalah matematika antara siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran kontekstual dengan siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran berbasis masalah. Pada penelitian ini didapat bahwa proses jawaban siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran kontekstual lebih baik dari proses jawaban siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran berbasis masalah.Kata kunci:   Pembelajaran kontekstual, pembelajaran berbasis masalah, kemampuanpemecahan masalah ABSTRACTThe purpose of this study is to determine the differences in mathematical problem solving abilities of students who obtain contextual learning with students who obtain problem-based learning which is analyzed through student answer sheets. This research is a quasi-experimental study. The population in this study was the seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Salapian with a sample of the study was Class VII-B which was given the treatment of contextual learning and class VII-C given the treatment of problem-based learning. There are differences in the ability to solve mathematical problems between students who get contextual learning with students who get problem-based learning. In this study it was found that the answer process of students who get contextual learning is better than the answer process of students who get problem-based learning.Keywords: Contextual Learning, Problem Based Learning,Problem solving skill

This article is based on the fact that problem-solving is a basic skill that every student should possess. To improve the student`s mindset through the effort to find problem-solving independently, so the learning activities should be centered on the students. The purpose of this study is to determine the comparison and improvement of students mathematical problem-solving abilities, as well as student attitudes toward the learning model problem-centered learning and problem-based learning. The research method used was a quasi-experiment with purposive sampling. The first experimental class that was class VIII I that got problem-centered learning model as much as 31 students, and the second experimental class that was class VIII H who got the problem-based learning model as many as 31 students. From the research and statistical calculations result, obtained the conclusion that the mathematical problem-solving ability students who got the model centered learning problem was better than students who got the model of learning problem-based learning. Meanwhile, for improvement of problem-solving abilities of mathematical students who got the learning model problem-centered learning and problem based learning each intermediate interpretation. And generally, the students’ attitude to the learning of mathematics by using the learning model problem-centered learning and problem-based learning are well interpreted.

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi dengan pentingnya kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui efektivitas model Problem Based Learning dan model Cooperative Learning tipe Think Pair Share berbantuan geogebra. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian eksperimen. Metode pengumpulan data terdiri dari dokumentasi, tes, dan observasi. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini digunakan analisis variansi, regresi, dan uji proporsi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa siswa yang mendapat model PBL berbantuan geogebra memiliki kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis sama dengan siswa yang mendapat model TPS berbantuan geogebra, dan kedua model pembelajaran tersebut menghasilkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa lebih baik daripada model pembelajaran konvensional. Hasil penelitian juga menunjukkan bahwa pada model PBL dan TPS berbantuan geogebra, terdapat pengaruh keaktifan belajar siswa dengan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematisnya. Model PBL dan TPS berbantuan geogebra juga menghasilkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah yang memenuhi ketuntasan klasikal. Kata kunci: Problem Based Learning, Think Pair Share, kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis.   ABSTRACT This research is motivated by the importance of students' mathematical problem solving abilities. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the Problem Based Learning model and the Cooperative Learning model Think Pair Share type assisted by geogebra. The type of research used is experimental research. Data collection methods consist of documentation, testing, and observation. Data analysis in this study used analysis of variance, regression, and proportion test. The results of this study indicate that students who get geogebra-assisted PBL models have the same mathematical problem solving abilities as students who get geogebra-assisted TPS models, and both of these learning models produce students' mathematical problem-solving abilities better than conventional learning models. The results also showed that in the PBL and TPS models assisted by geogebra, there was an influence on students' learning activeness with their mathematical problem solving abilities. The geogebra-assisted PBL and TPS models also produce problem-solving abilities that meet classical completeness. The ability to solve mathematical problems is a very important part that must be owned and developed by students in learning mathematics. However, generally Indonesian students' abilities are very low in understanding complex information and problem solving. Therefore, this article aims to know: 1) the increase in Mathematical Problem Solving Ability (MPSA) of students who get Problem Based Learning (PBL) better than students who get conventional learning with a scientific approach is reviewed overall and based on KAM levels; 2) find out the interaction between PBL and conventional models with KAM level to MPSA; 3) the difference in MPSA increase of students who get PBL learning in terms of KAM level. The research method used was a quasi-experimental research design with a pretest-posttest control group design. The sample of 6 grade students of SMAN 2 Bangkinang Kota class XI totaling 183 students. The instrument in this article is a MPSA test using t-test, two-way ANOVA test and one-way ANOVA test. The results in this study were: 1) the increase in MPSA of students who received PBL learning was better than students who received conventional learning in terms of overall and KAM; 2) there is a significant interaction between PBL and conventional models with KAM level to MPSA; and 3) there is a difference in the increase in MPSA of students who get PBL learning in terms of KAM level significantly.

The   aims   of   this   research   are focused  to  examine  the  effect  of  learning model      was      estimated      to      decrease mathematics    anxiety    and    to    increase student's    mathematical    problem    solving ability.  The  instrument  that  used  for  this research were ability test of problem solving in math and mathematics quosionaire with likert  scale.  The  data  analysis  used  mixed method embedded konkruen method. Based on  data  analysis  concluded  (1)  the  result show the increasing student's mathematical problem  solving  ability  by  problem  based learning  model  better  than  by  expository teaching; (2) increasing quality of studen'ts mathematical   problem   solving   ability   by problem   based   learning   better   than   by expository      teaching.      (3)      significant differences between mathematics anxiety and the accomplisment of student's matematical problem  solving  ability  by  problem  based learning  and  by  expository  teaching  (4) significant  differences  between  decreasing mathematics   anxiety   and   increasing   of student's    mathematical    problem    solving ability  by  problem  based  learning  and  by expository   teaching.    and    (5)   there   is significan relationship between mathematics anxiety and the accomplishment of student's mathematical problem solving ability.

This study aims to determine the improvement of problem solving ability of mathematics and self-efficacy of students through problem-based learning model. This research method used pre-test post-test control group design. The population in this study is all of Year 7 students of SMP Negeri 10 Banda Aceh. Two classes of samples were randomly selected, the experimental and the control classesThe research instrument consisted of a mathematical problem solving test and self-efficacy questionnaire. Data analysis was using t-test statistic. The result of the research showed 1) mathematical problem solving ability of students through problem-based learning model better than students who received conventional learning, 2) Self-efficacy of students who through problem-based learning model better than students who learn conventionally.

This research is motivated by the results of previous research which shows that students' mathematical problem-solving ability is not as expected. One of the learning to improve the problem-solving ability of mathematics is problem-based learning. The purpose of this study is to determine the improvement of students' mathematical problem-solving skills as a result of problem-based learning. This study is a quasi-experiment that implements two lessons: problem-based learning and conventional learning. Population in this research is a student of the junior high school in Regency of West Bandung. Sampling was done by purposive sampling and obtained two classes as research sample. The research instrument used is the test of mathematical problem-solving ability. Based on the results of the analysis, it can be concluded that the improvement of the problem-solving ability of mathematical students who get problem-based learning is better than the students who get conventional learning.
