Generasi milenial dalam bekerja tidak hanya berfokus pada tingkat penghasilan tinggi, akan tetapi mepertimbangkan kondisi keseimbangan antara pekerjaan dan kehidupan pribadi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengidentifikasi dimensi-dimensi work-life balance pada karyawan generasi milenial di sektor perbankan. Variabel work-life balance diukur dengan work-life balance scale yang terdiri dari empat dimensi yaitu work intereference with personal life (WIPL), personal life interference with work (PLIW), personal life enhancement of work (PLEW) dan work enhancement of personal life (WEPL). Data diperoleh melalui kuesioner online dengan metode accidental sampling. Penelitian ini melibatkan 172 karyawan generasi milenial (20-40 tahun) yang bekerja di sektor perbankan Jakarta. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dimensi WIPL (57,6% )  dan PLIW (54,1%)generasi milenial berada dalam kategori rendah. Sedangkan dimensi WEPL (63,4%) dan PLEW (54,7%) berada dalam kategori tinggi. Secara khusus work-life balance dapat menjadi preferensi bagi perusahaan dan generasi milenial untuk meningkatkan kualitas pekerjaan dan kesejahteraan individu.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis Work-Life Balance para karyawan Bank BJB Cabang Indramayu. Dimensi penting dalam Work-life Balance adalah Work Interference with Personal Life, Personal Life Interfence with Work, Personal Life Enhancement of Work dan Work Enchancement of Personal Life. Metode Penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif-deskriptif. Penelitian ini menganalisis dan menggambarkan keadaan Work-Life Balance para karyawan Bank BJB Cabang Indramayu. Data yang diperoleh untuk penelitian ini didapatkan dari wawancara dengan pihak terkait dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa karyawan Bank BJB Cabang Indramayu telah memiliki empat dimensi Work-Life Balance yaitu Work Interference with Personal Life, Personal Life Interfence with Work, Personal Life Enhancement of Work dan Work Enchancement of Personal Life. Kesimpulan yang dapat diambil pada penelitian ini bahwa work-life balance para karyawan Bank BJB dapat dikategorikan baik, dikarenakan semua dimensi yang dimiliki para karyawan menunjukkan hasil positif.

<p>This paper provides an insight into the Work life balance and job satisfaction of individuals working in business process outsourcing. In the present fast growing scenario, people don‘t have time for themselves or for their families. It is difficult to balance both work and personal life at a time, especially for the employees working in Business process outsourcing (BPO’s).The Work life balance of an individual is one of the factors, which affect their satisfaction or happiness with life as a whole.. Data was obtained from 200 employees, 120 male and 80 female. Work life balance was measured by the 15-item scale developed by Fisher-McAuley (2003), consist of three dimensions - work interference with personal life (WIPL), personal life interference with work (PLIW), work/personal life enhancement (WPLE) and job satisfaction was measured by using scale Khan and Sheeba (2002).Data comparison of work life balance, its three dimensions work interference with personal life, work/personal life enhancement, personal life interference with work and job satisfaction between male and female t-test was found suitable. All the analysis was carried out with the help of the computer using SPSS 16.0 version.</p>

Research on the reliability and validity of the work life balance construct is important considering that in Indonesia there is currently no instrument specifically used to measure or assess work life balance and because of the development of an understanding of the work life balance construct which always develops as a multidimensional construct. The subjects in this study were 460 employees of State-Owned Company in Bandung. The work life balance scale used in this study is an adaptation of the work life balance questionnaire developed by Gwenith G. Fisher, Carrie A. Bulger and Carlla S. Smith (in Journal of Occupational Health Psychology 2009, Vol. 14, No. 4, 441–456). In this study, the method of analysis is the confirmatory factor. The results showed that the items for the work life balance scale had SLF values ​​ranging from 0.75 to 0.912 so that all items could be said to be valid. CR value is 0.976 and VE is 0.707, which means a reliable work life balance scale. Work life balance scale is devided into two aspects, namely demands and resources. The demands aspect consists of 2 (two) sub aspects, namely work interference with personal life (PLIW) and personal life interference with work (PLIW) and. The second aspect, namely resources has 2 (two) sub aspects, namely work enhancement of personal life (WEPL) and personal life enhancement ofwork (PLEW).

PurposeThe purpose of this paper is to investigate the role of employee engagement and work–life balance in perceived supervisor support and turnover intentions relationship.Design/methodology/approachThe perception of teachers on the constructs considered has been assessed by a survey using a structured questionnaire. Data were collected from the teachers of private schools of Punjab, India, and 375 were valid number of responses. Parallel multiple mediated regression was used to estimate the direct and indirect effects of perceived supervisor support on turnover intentions mediated through employee engagement and work–life balance.FindingsThe results reveal that the effect of perceived supervisor support on turnover intentions is indirect rather than direct. On the comparison of specific indirect effects, the results demonstrate that employee engagement and two dimensions of work–life balance (work interference with personal life and work–personal life enhancement) act as mediators in the perceived supervisor support and turnover intentions relationship.Practical implicationsSchool principals need to draft teacher-friendly policies for enhancing work–life balance and employee engagement so that teachers can feel satisfied with their work and can handle work and family demands. In this way, positive perceptions associated with high engagement and work–family balance can take place, which in turn can curtail the turnover intentions of teachers.Originality/valueThe use of employee engagement and work-life balance in the relationship of perceived supervisor support and turnover intentions is unprecedented. The study also considered three different dimensions of work–life balance and tested the model in an integrative manner. Since the study is based on an Indian sample, it also adds to growing literature on turnover intentions in nonwestern countries. The results are of great value to school managements, HR managers and policymakers who are seeking to develop practices that reduce employee turnover at workplaces.

Purpose This paper aims to attempt to explore the nature of relationship between work–life balance and emotional exhaustion experienced by the employed individuals while working from home during the pandemic COVID-19 induced nationwide lockdown in the Indian setting. Design/methodology/approach Data were collected from 180 working professionals in North India who were working from home during the lockdown. PROCESS macro developed for SPSS was used to test the hypotheses. Findings Findings depicted that in comparison to men, women felt more emotional exhaustion due to personal life interference in work during work from home period. Surprisingly, the relationship between work interference with personal life, and emotional exhaustion did not differ by gender. It was found that the participative leadership could contribute to reduction of work interference with personal life, and through such an influence, emotional exhaustion experienced by an employee could be reduced to some extent. Originality/value Many previous studies have explored the nature of the relationship between work–life balance and emotional exhaustion, but rarely any study could cover any Pandemic affected working scenario. This study attempted to investigate such a relationship when employees were obligated to mandatorily work from home during the countrywide lockdown.

Work Life balance of an Employee is very important for any Organisation. Proper balance of Work and Life will automatically lead to higher yield. These factors can be segregated as Demographic and Psychographic. The challenge is to find out the extent of impact of these two variables on the Work Life balance of an Employee and meet him at the point of his need. This study aims to determine the work-life balance and worker satisfaction for his work as a tax consultant. Factors that can affect the work-life balance are work environment, flexibility, financial factors, and work culture. The object of this research is “X” Tax Consultant Office in Surabaya. This study used qualitative methods using semi-structured interview and direct observation. Based on the result of interviews and observations obtained result that flexibility and work environment have a role in determining work-life balance this is also supported by work environment and work culture provided by “X” Tax Consultannt Office. The results showed that there were 2 conditions of work on tax consultants where there was a balance between work and personal life during the low season and imbalance during the peak season, however the consultants were satisfied with the overall work-life balance they were carrying out.

The dynamics of socio-economic, personal and career advancement aspects were analysed from 75 information and communication technology (ICT) women professionals, from 7 various ICT organisations from Bengaluru, India. ICT industry continues to be the largest private sector employer in India for women in that 800,000 women currently working in this sector account for over 30 per cent of the existing hires and this figure is all set to rise in the future. The characteristics of the ICT industry in India and the nature of the work pose some unique challenges for women professionals in the industry. This study focuses on how does work and family related factors influence the work life balance and work conflict of women professionals. It is very evident that career oriented women has to manage / balance work & life due to stereotypic roles played. ICT women professionals have agreed that their career advancement is influenced by work or personal life enhancement. ICT Women Professionals have said that they have been affected by gender through various reasons on work interferences with personal life & career advancement. It is evident that there is a concern among women professionals working in shifts and it does bring in work on family conflict & family on work conflict.There is a very high significant relationship between Work Life Balance (WLB) and Work Life Conflict (WLC). Even when there is a support from the family, the individual undergoes conflict on not managing both sides effectively.WLB & WLC is a significant factor leading to overall performance of the ICT Women Professionals.They should possess strong work role salience since work helps define the career-cantered professional’s self- concept, which should further intensify the potential incompatibility between the work and life domains.
