Abstract ALUMINUM 5254 is an aluminum-magnesium-chromium wrought alloy of the non-heat-treatable type; however, it can be hardened and strengthened by cold working. It is relatively strong and has excellent resistance to general corrosion and stress-corrosion cracking. Its applications include hydrogen peroxide serivce and chemical storage vessels. Abstract ALUMINUM 852.0 contains higher concentrations of copper and nickel than either Aluminum 850.0 or Aluminum 851.0 alloy.
