Abstract AMAX-XLP is an oxygen-free low-phosphorus copper identical in electrical conductivity to that specified for deoxidized low-phosphorus (DLP) copper, but with a lower phosphorus range than that required in DLP copper. AMAX-XLP is produced from high-purity oxygen-free copper; this results in predictable effective phosphorus content and thus predictable consistent performance. It is ideal for applications where a low phosphorus content is beneficial and good conductivity and good resistance to embrittlement are needed. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, tensile properties, and shear strength as well as fatigue. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: Cu-272. Producer or source: Amax Copper Inc..
