Abstract VascoJet 2000 was developed to meet the needs of the aerospace industry. It also has been used for special tooling applications. It is a vacuum-melted modification of AISI H12 hot-work die steel. VascoJet 2000 has a tensile strength of 200,000 psi (1500 MPa) at room temperature and exceptional toughness.
