An accurate assessment of the quality of service parameters in modern information communication networks is a very important task. This paper proposes the use of hyperexponential distributions to solve the problem of approxi-mating an arbitrary probability density in the G/G/1 system for the case when the approximation by a system of the type H2/H2/1 is assumed. To determine the parameters of the probability density of the hyperexponential distribu-tion, it is proposed to use EM- algorithm that provides fairly simple use cases for uncorrelated flows. In this paper, we propose a variant of the EM algorithm implementation for determining the parameters of the hyperexponential distribution in the presence of correlation properties of the analyzed flow.

Abstract In this paper, the scale mixtures of multivariate skew slash distributions is introduced. The probability density function with some additional properties are discussed. The first four order moments, skewness and kurtosis of this distribution are calculated. Furthermore, the first two moments of its quadratic forms are obtained. In particular, the linear transformation, stochastic representation and hierarchical representation are studied. In the end, the EM algorithm is proposed.

Application of the term video streaming in contemporary usage denotes compression techniques and data buffering, which can transmit video in real time over the network. There is currently a rapid growth and development of technologies using wireless broadband technology as a transport, which is a serious alternative to cellular communication systems. Adverse effect of the aggressive environment used in wireless networks transmission results in data packets undergoing serious distortions and often getting lost in transit. All existing research in this area investigate the known types of errors separately. At present there are no standard approaches to determining the effect of errors on transmission quality of services. Besides, the spate in popularity of multimedia applications has led to the need for optimization of bandwidth allocation and usage in telecommunication networks. Modern telecommunication networks should by their definition be able to maintain the quality of different applications with different Quality of Service (QoS) levels. QoS requirements are generally dependent on the parameters of network and application layers of the OSI model. At the application layer QoS depends on factors such as resolution, bit rate, frame rate, video type, audio codecs, and so on. At the network layer, distortions (such as delay, jitter, packet loss, etc.) are introduced.

Analysis of the parameters of the functioning of IP-networks in the processing of multimedia streams is a very important task. There are many approaches to assessing the quality of service parameters in the G/G/1 system. Changing the delay of packets on the network is a very important parameter that deter-mines the quality of traffic processing. The change in delay is usually defined either as packet jitter or as a variation in packet delay. At the same time, the required accuracy in determining the parameters can be obtained quite accurately, since all decisions are mainly based on certain assumptions. The paper presents an approach to determining the change in packet delay in the G/G/1 system as packet jitter. The basis of the presented approach is the approximation of arbitrary distributions by hyperexponential distributions, i.e. modeling of the G/G/1 system by the H2/H2/1 system. The solution to the jitter estima-tion problem is to determine the distribution parameters. To evaluate the parameters of hyperexponen-tial distributions, the EM algorithm is used. As the traffic studied, a multimedia stream registered on a real network was used. An analytical estimate of jitter in the G/G/1 system is obtained. The results ob-tained are applicable for independent flows and for random variables uncorrelated in the structure of each sequence.

Wireless security is the prevention of unauthorized access to computers using wireless networks .The trends in wireless networks over the last few years is same as growth of internet. Wireless networks have reduced the human intervention for accessing data at various sites .It is achieved by replacing wired infrastructure with wireless infrastructure. Some of the key challenges in wireless networks are Signal weakening, movement, increase data rate, minimizing size and cost, security of user and QoS (Quality of service) parameters... The goal of this paper is to minimize challenges that are in way of our understanding of wireless network and wireless network performance.

Abstract The problem of professional training of skilled human personnel in the industry of information communication technology, the urgency of which is recognized at the state level of Ukraine and the world, has been considered. It has been traced that constantly growing requirements of the labour market, swift scientific progress require the use of innovative approaches to the training of future ІТ specialists with the aim to increase their professional level. The content of standards of professional training and development of information technologies specialists in foreign countries, particularly in Japan, has been analyzed and generalized. On the basis of analysis of educational and professional standards of Japan, basic requirements to the engineer in industry of information communication technology in the conditions of competitive environment at the labour market have been comprehensively characterized. The competencies that graduate students of educational qualification level of bachelor in the conditions of new state policy concerning upgrading the quality of higher education have been considered. The constituents of professional competence in the structure of an engineer-programmer’s personality, necessary on different levels of professional improvement of a specialist for the development of community of highly skilled ІТ specialists, have been summarized. Positive features of foreign experience and the possibility of their implementation into the native educational space have been distinguished. Directions for modernization and upgrading of the quality of higher education in Ukraine and the prospects for further scientific research concerning the practice of specialists in information technologies training have been suggested
