The article analyzes various aspects of Oleksii Chumakov’s creative activity. Oleksii Chumakov’s activity can be considered as striking in its variety of creative manifestations. His singing career is harmoniously combined with his work as a composer and arranger. The purpose of the article is to identify the specifics of stylistic dimensions of O. Chumakov’s work. The article analyzes various aspects of O. Chumakov’s activity, which impresses with the variety of creative manifestations. The artist harmoniously combines the singer’s career with composing and arranging skills. The research methodology consists oftheoretical methods (analysis, synthesis, generalization, biographical method), as well as empirical ones to observe the multifaceted work of O. Chumakov. The scientific novelty of the research is that the main features of O. Chumakov’s work are revealed, it is found out that the artist’s vocal skill is manifested in the use of soul singing. The style of Chumakov's compositions makes it possible to use the traditions of the gospel. The dominant directions in which his songs were written are funk, fusion, pop. Conclusions. It is noted that singers, who combine performance with composing, arranging, working in a recording studio, can rightly be considered professionals in their field. Having practical vocal skills, the composer takes into account the technical capabilities of singers, trying to emphasize their strengths. Oleksii Chumakov is also a presenter, writer and actor. All these qualities testify his versatility and high professionalism. In the concert performances of the singer, there is no bright effect or extraordinary scenography, because the performer prefers the ‘classical’ type of stage behaviour when the main emphasis is on the musical side of the compositions. Vocal skill, which manifests itself in the use of various vocal manners, intonation accuracy and stylistic sophistication, are the dominant elements of O. Chumakov’s performances.

The work of Ukrainian artists who have contributed to Ukrainian and international art, is not sufficiently disclosed. Their creative search impresses with versatility, interesting decision, continues to impress and inspire contemporaries. Purpose of the article — to find out the contribution of the Ukrainian avant-garde artist, set designer, teacher Oleksandra Ekster, to the Ukrainian and international fine arts. Oleksandra Ekster’s work has been the subject of research for decades. Scientists are interested in the painter’s art search, her contribution to Ukrainian avant-garde, scenography reforms, and teaching activity. Some sources may state that Ekster is a representative of Russian avant-garde. However, the artist grew up in Kyiv, obtained art education and promoted with her work not only Ukrainian but world avant-garde as well. The research of modern scientists (H. Kovalenko, D. Horbachova, T. Filevska, N. Stoliarchuk, M. Yur and others) makes it possible to review the artist’s life and artistic journey as well as her contribution to art history. The research methodology consists of a range of methods: historical, biographical, theoretical. The abovementioned methodological approach allows studying the question of historical data relating to the events in Ukraine that led to the emigration waves, finding out certain biographical facts and analyzing the artist’s creative activity.

The purpose of the article is to scientifically substantiate the expediency of the activity approach in the professional training of future choreographers at the classical university. Methodology. The research methodology is based on: scientific and theoretical concepts of activity and activity approach in professional training of students; methods of analysis, systematization, and generalization. The article reveals the program requirements for professional training of student-choreographers at the university. The scientific bases of pedagogical and artistic-creative activity of the choreographer are investigated. The main types of activity of the leader of the choreographic team, which students must master during their studies at the university - theoretical (projective, analytical) and practical (organizational-pedagogical, artistic-creative, concert-stage) are characterized. The principles of educational activity of students in choreographic classes are formulated. The scientific novelty: scientifically substantiated and proved the expediency of applying the activity approach in the professional training of future choreographers; the basic forms and types of professional activity which students-choreographers should master in the course of professional preparation are systematized; the principles of educational activity of students in choreographic classes are determined. Conclusions are formulated that the activity approach is an effective means of forming in future choreographers the experience of professional activity in the process of professional training at the university.
