Visible Light Communication (VLC) is a technology that allows the sending of data information through visible light that will be received as a piece of information. In its implementation, a sensor can send information data using VLC in this technological era. One model of data transmission that is widely used in life is to use radio frequency or better known as wireless. In this final project, a transmitter and receiver of data is realized through the transmission of light, this device consists of a lamp as an electrical converter to light, a photodioda as a converter of light to electric, and receiving data. Through the realization of this tool we can know that the transmission of data through light can occur can be used to transmit data. Data transmitted in this final project is the result of three sensor data namely temperature sensors, gas sensors, and fire detection sensors on the transmitter and on the receiver used firebase to monitor data. From the test results produce parameter values such as distance with a maximum distance of the data is accepted either 45cm, 50cm of data is damaged and 55cm of data is not accepted, the variations in angles and distances show that at a distance of 10cm it can receive data well from an angle of 0ᵒ to an angle of 35ᵒ, a distance of 35cm and 40 cm at an angle of 10ᵒ the received data is damaged and at a distance of 45cm and 50cm at a 5ᵒ angle cannot receive data and as well as the sending speed parameters obtained at a baudrate of 2400 bps, 4800 bps and 9600 bps the data sent can be received well.

The purpose of this study is to create a monitoring system for cluster housing. The method used in this research was experimental. Monitoring carried out in this system was installed and tested on ten houses. This system used an ESP-MESH for communication between ESP32 boards in residential areas. The process of sending data to the online server used two ESP32 boards that function as a mesh server and a gateway for data transmission. The data sent is in the form of data from ultrasonic sensors, PIR1 and PIR2 sensors, Flame sensors, Gas sensors, and Photos. The photo result was taking by ESP32CAM when the system detects an intruder. When something bad happens, such as fire detection, intruders, and gas leaks, residents will receive text and image notifications through the LINE application. The head of security will also get notifications via the web application. The web application is built using the Django framework. The results of this study are a monitoring system for cluster housing using ESP32, ESP-MESH, and Django. Based on the test results, this system has been running well by the initial objectives.

ABSTRACTUnderwater voice communication systems have been known for a long time, including sonar and acoustics. Along with the development and advancement of technology, now there is communication with visible light transmission media, namely Visible Light Communication (VLC) which can be applied to underwater communication. Under this study underwater voice communication (simplex) has been carried out using VLC, with aquarium media containing water and several tests including using a color filter, the best test results obtained are voltage 4.4 Vp-p and frequency 3.003 kHz for yellow color filter, testing using the lens obtained the best test results namely voltage 4.4 Vp-p and frequency 3.051 kHz for lenses (+50), and the last test using UV lights obtained the best test results with a voltage of 4.4 Vp-p and a frequency of 3.010 kHz. The implementation of the VLC system shows good and feasible results to be applied to underwater voice communication (simplex). Keywords: VLC, Underwater Voice Communication, Simplex.

Visible light communication (VLC) is an upcoming wireless technology for next-generation communication for high-speed data transmission. It has the potential for capacity enhancement due to its characteristic large bandwidth. Concerning signal processing and suitable transceiver design for the VLC application, an amplification-based optical transceiver is proposed in this article. The transmitter consists of a driver and laser diode as the light source, while the receiver contains a photodiode and signal amplifying circuit. The design model is proposed for its simplicity in replacing the trans-impedance and transconductance circuits of the conventional modules by a simple amplification circuit and interface converter. The system was tested at communication distances of 1m and 3.5m using a terminal emulation program for data transfer between two computing devices.

Post-print of KICS Summer Conference 2016 at Jeju Island. In this work, a computer generated hologram image was sent using high power blue LED as transmitter of visible light communication (VLC) system. At the receiver side a Fresnel lens were used to collimate the ray of lights so the reception will ensure the data transmission over 1 m distance. We assumed that hologram images will reconstructed by optical arrangement and display it after received by receiver part. The results shown is an initial proof-of-concept for future work on holographic image transmission through VLC system.
