The Internet of things market grew rapidly in recent years. The increased number of connected objects and the diversity of IoT services caused many challenges. The IoT links heterogeneity sensors from different networks in order to address users’ needs. A systematic review study was accomplished to identify and clarify the challenges of the IoT with an initial result set of 811 articles, covering studies published from 2013 to 2019. 50 studies were selected and classified according to the study criteria. The results include highlighting the 10 main challenges with the IoT and introducing data security and privacy as major concerns. The lack of standardization and interoperability is also considered a critical challenge with the IoT. In addition, the descriptive results reported that most of the investigated papers are related either to industrial or technical aspect. A lack of other areas with the IoT, such as educational, social, and cloud, were reported as well.

In our daily life, Internet-of-Things (IoT) is everywhere and used in many more beneficial functionalities. It is used in our homes, hospitals, fire prevention, and reporting and controlling the environmental changes. Data security is the crucial requirement for IoT since the number of recent technologies in different domains is increasing day by day. Various attempts have been made to cater the user’s demands for more security and privacy. However, a huge risk of security and privacy issues can arise among all those benefits. Digital document security and copyright protection are also important issues in IoT because they are distributed, reproduced, and disclosed with extensive use of communication technologies. The content of books, research papers, newspapers, legal documents, and web pages are based on plain text, and the ownership verification and authentication of such documents are essential. In the current domain of the Internet of Things, limited techniques are available for ownership verification and copyright protection. In the said perspective, this study includes the discussion about the approaches of text watermarking, IoT security challenges, IoT device limitations, and future research directions in the area of text watermarking.

Sleep is a mandatory biological requirement for humans that require appropriate proportions and quality. The assessment method in determining the best sleep quality and the medical gold standard is to use a Polysomnography device. The advantages of the Internet of Things can significantly increase the usefulness of Polysomnography in suburban areas. The target location of this framework makes our consideration adhere to the Offline-First Internet of Things method to overcome the limitations of the internet at that location. Unfortunately, there are still problems coming from the concept of the Internet of Things itself, and the problem is in data security. So we propose a framework for Polysomnography devices that connects the Internet of Things with a focus on the security and confidentiality of patient data called Offline-First Sleep Assessment (OFFSA). We enumerate patient medical data and archive encryption to improve patient data security. The confidentiality of our patient data is achieved by encryption on every medical data exchange and is only open on the Graphic User Interface application on the device that has been registered.

With the development of science and technology, more and more operations are performed in the cardiac catheterization laboratory. During such operations, a lot of relevant imaging data need to be retained. These imaging data can be used for clinical and scientific research and teaching applications, but imaging data security has also become an increasingly important issue. This article is based on the Internet of Things cardiac catheterization laboratory information management system image data security mechanism system research. First of all, this article adopts the literature method to study the application research of the Internet of Things technology in the medical field, as well as the relevant medical imaging data security technology methods. Then, the medical image data security mechanism was designed, and the image data security model of the cardiac catheterization laboratory information management system based on the Internet of Things was established. Finally, the application of decentralized management of the Internet of Things RFID technology on medical equipment and the security of the application of this technology on medical imaging data are analyzed, and finally a conclusion is drawn. The image data security mechanism established in this article is based on the Internet of Things technology. The security rate of image information data reaches more than 95%, the information data security level reaches level 1, and the average data missing rate is only 4.7%. It is a brand-new breakthrough, hoping to further improve the efficiency of hospital information management and protect the safety of medical information.
