Production and maintenance tasks apply for access to the same resources. Maintenance-related machine downtime reduces productivity, but the costs incurred due to unplanned machine failures often outweigh the costs associated with predictive maintenance. Costs incurred due to unplanned machine failure include corrective maintenance, reworks, delays in deliveries, breaks in the work of employees and machines. Therefore, scheduling of production and maintenance tasks should be considered jointly. The problem of generating a predictive schedule with given constrains is considered. The objective of the paper is to develop a scheduling method that reflects the operation of the production system and nature of disturbances. The original value of the paper is the development of the method of a basic schedule generation with the application of the Ant Colony Optimisation. A predictive schedule is built by planning the technical inspection of the machine at time of the predicted failure-free time. The numerical simulations are performed for job/flow shop systems.

Scheduling is defined as the process of sequencing the manufacture of a product as a whole on several machines. All industries need proper scheduling to manage the allocation of resources so that the production system can run quickly and precisely as of it can produce optimal product. PT. Sari Warna Asli Unit V is one of the companies that implements a make to order production system with the FCFS system. Thus, scheduling the production process at this company is also known as job shop production scheduling. The methods used in this research are the CDS method, the EDD method and the FCFS method. The purpose of this research is to minimize the production time and determine the best method that can be applied to the company. The results of this research showed that the makespan obtained in the company's scheduling system with FCFS rules was 458 minutes, and the results of scheduling using the CDS method obtained a makespan value of 329 minutes, then the best production scheduling method that had the smallest makespan value was the CDS method.

This research proposes a method of production scheduling using autonomous distributed systems. A concrete message protocol is proposed to realize the production scheduling which includes not only Machine but also Human and AGV scheduling. Moreover this method realizes real time scheduling and parallel scheduling. Therefore, a new structure of production scheduling is proposed, which can realize a change of the type of production scheduler to correspond with a type of production system.

The high rate of demand and the many type of products that have to be made, is a separate issue for PT Bioli Lestari. Delays in delivery of goods to consumers become a daily sight. Production scheduling in accordance with corporate characteristics needs. This research tries to find the method of scheduling according to the characteristics mentioned above. By the method of comparison between conventional method and repeated production scheduling method, ie Dannenbring method, Palmer method and Campbell Dudek Smith method, finally known that Dannenbring method resulted in the number of delayed work of 4 jobs with mean lateness of 8826.53 minutes medium Palmer method there are 5 jobs that are late With Mean lateness 4512.97 minutes, and on the Campbell Dudek Smith method the amount of work delayed were 4 jobs with mean lateness 9162 minutes. And the other side known that with conventional method there ware 9 jobs late. Based on that, then the corresponding method is Campbell Dudek Smith method with the number of jobs that are delayed ware 4 jobs and the mean lateness 9162 minutes. Keywords: scheduling, flow shop, tardyness, Repetitive Production.

Flexible flow shop is becoming more interested and applied in industries due to its impact from higher workloads. Flexible flow shop scheduling problem is focused to minimize the makespan. A metaheuristic model based on Hybrid Tabu Search is developed to overcome this problem. Firstly, Hybrid Tabu Search is modelled based on the factory data. The Earliest Due Date rule is used as the scheduling method for the current status. FlexSim simulation software is used to evaluate the Hybrid Tabu Search model. The outcome is validated with two different basic heuristic solutions; Campbell, Dudek and Smith’s and Gupta’s heuristics. It is found that the proposed model can improve the job sequence based on makespan criteria.

This paper is under the research background of a switch machine production enterprise informatization projects, and the production schedule is mainly based on customer orders and sales forecasts. This paper mainly studies the combination of similar order processing sheets according to the similarity of types and specifications of products in an order processing sheet, and the experience of master production scheduling personnel, to generate the master production scheduling methods and techniques. Finally, studies the material requirements planning methods based on nested components, focusing on the configuration of parts and components of such products in the product configuration.

In order to reduce the energy consumption of furnaces and save costs in the product delivery time, the focus of this paper is to discuss the uncertainty of demand in the rolling horizon and to globally optimize the sustainability of the production in the aluminum furnace hot rolling section in environmental and economic dimensions. First, the triples α/β/γ are used to describe the production scheduling in the aluminum furnace hot rolling section as the scheduling of flexible flow shop, satisfied to constraints of demand uncertainty, operation logic, operation time, capacity and demand, objectives of minimizing the residence time of the ingot in the furnace and minimizing the makespan. Second, on the basis of describing the uncertainty of demand in rolling horizon with the scenario tree, a multi-objective mixed integer linear programming (MILP) optimization model for sustainable production in the aluminum furnace hot rolling section is formulated. Finally, an aluminum alloy manufacturer is taken as an example to illustrate the proposed model. The computational results show that when the objective weight combination takes the value of α=0.7, β=0.3, the sustainability indicators of the environmental and economic dimensions can be optimized to the maximum extent possible at the same time. Increasingly, managerial suggestions associated with the trade-off between environmental and economic dimensions are presented. Scheduling in the rolling horizon can optimize the production process of the aluminum furnace hot rolling section globally, indicating that it is more conducive to the sustainable development of the environment and economic dimensions than scheduling in a single decision time period.
