SAP2000 structural analysis software is used to designed two of 500kV partially prestressed reactive powder concrete pole cross arm; moreover, poles of the two cross arm program have been compared. The results show that the triangular truss cross arm has good mechanical properties, improving the main mate’rial of the stress state, the pole reduced height 10m, by the analysis of the structure shows, this cross arm has higher reliability under the operating conditions, which can be used in 500kV transmission line; from economic and technical performance, the pole cost of this program is greatly reduced, while speeding up the construction progress and improving the comprehensive benefits of the poles in the transmission line.

This study presents experimental results of structural analysis, such as phase composition, grains size assessment, strength and hardness of Ni-SPAN-C alloy 902 after various heat treatment modes (hardening and aging for stress relaxation). A thermal treatment mode has been selected to obtain higher physical and mechanical properties of the elinvar alloy. It is shown that the improvement of the alloy structure in thermal treatment occurs due to the thermic stresses, as well as the formation and dissolution of intermetallides.

Titanium alloys possess unique combination of good mechanical properties and excellent corrosion resistance which make them an attractive material for application in many engineering areas. Along with these properties there are some disadvantages which can be eliminated successfully using different surface treatment methods. One of the most commonly used among them is anodizing. This article presents investigation of the results obtained from anodizing titanium alloy Ti-6Al-7Nb using sulphuric acid. The quality assessment and morphology of the anodized layer is made using a micro structural analysis, EDS analysis, XRD analysis and microhardness measurements.

A range of benefits of implants containing hydroxyapatites results, among other things, from their phase composition and degree of porosity. Poor mechanical properties of hydroxyapatite (HA) ceramics considerably limit its wider use. One of the methods for improvement of poor HA properties is addition of solid solution of Y2O3 in ZrO2. [1-8]. The investigations focused on compositions of ceramic powders based on hydroxyapatite with addition of zirconium dioxide (ZrO2 + 8%wt. Y2O3 and ZrO2 + 20%wt. Y2O3). The powders were axially compacted and then sintered at the temperature of 13000C for two hours. After the process of sintering the samples were subjected to analysis of microstructure, phase composition and geometrical measurements in order to determine volume density in each sample.

PHE (Process Heat Exchanger) is a key component in transferring the high temperature heat generated from a VHTR (Very High Temperature Reactor) to the chemical reaction for massive production of hydrogen. A performance test on a small-scale PHE prototype made of Hastelloy-X is currently undergoing in a small-scale gas loop at the Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute. Previous researches on the high-temperature structural analysis of the small-scale PHE prototype had been performed using parent material properties over the whole region. In this study, high-temperature elastic structural analysis considering mechanical properties in the weld zone was performed and the analysis result was compared with previous researches.
