Organisers of events attracting many people have the important task to ensure the safety of the crowd on their venue premises. Measuring the size of the crowd is a critical first step, but often challenging because of occlusions, noise and the dynamics of the crowd. We have been working on a passive Radio Frequency (RF) sensing technique for crowd size estimation, and we now present three datasets of measurements collected at the Tomorrowland music festival in environments containing thousands of people. All datasets have reference data, either based on payment transactions or an access control system, and we provide an example analysis script. We hope that future analyses can lead to an added value for crowd safety experts.

This article focuses on the realization of an access control system based on RFID (Radio Frequency by Identification) technology. It is an authentication system for controlling access to a sensitive place. This system is composed of RFID cards which are badges that act as electronic keys, an RFID reader, an electronic lock, a microcontroller, a wifi module and a database installed on a computer. The identification number of an RFID card detected by the RFID reader is transferred, via the serial interface, to the microcontroller that communicates with the computer through the wifi module for verification in the database. If the information is valid, the microcontroller triggers the opening of the electronic lock.

With the continually development of computer technology and modern communication technology, radio frequency technology and image processing technology become the important component of modern security system. In particular, the application of the intelligent access control system of the two technologies becomes a hot research topic in the field. This article first briefly analyzes the principle of radio frequency technology and establishes intelligent access control system based on radio frequency technology and image processing technology. It analyzes the theory and application compatibility of this system which provides technical support and theoretical basic for the researches in this field to some extent.

This paper mainly studies the application of intelligent lighting control system in different sports events in large sports competition venues. We take the Xiantao Stadium, a largescale sports competition venue in Zaozhuang City, Shandong Province as an example, to study its intelligent lighting control system. In this paper, the PID (proportion – integral – derivative) incremental control model and the Karatsuba multiplication model are used, and the intelligent lighting control system is designed and implemented by multilevel fuzzy comprehensive evaluation model. Finally, the paper evaluates the actual effect of the intelligent lighting control system. The research shows that the intelligent lighting control system designed in this paper can accurately control the lighting of different sports in large stadiums. The research in this paper has important practical significance for the planning and design of largescale sports competition venues.
