Thermodynamics is a discipline, with unambiguous concepts, words, laws and usefulness. Today it is in danger of becoming a Tower of Babel. Its key words are being pasted brazenly on new concepts, to promote them with no respect for their proper meaning. In this brief Perspective, I outline a few steps to correct our difficult situation.

Adam Mickiewicz University Press. ISSN 2300-391X. DOI: https://doi.org/10.14746/ikps.2019.25.05 The article is an attempt to reflect on the difficult situation in which special pedagogy was found. It is more difficult than the crisis that took place after 1989, because the fascination with the idea of normalisation and integration is gradually decreasing, and there is no new concepts for the further development of special education as a scientific sub-discipline obliged to respond to modern challenges.

Abstract This article argues that scientific practice of all kinds does not simply represent but actively constructs social and cultural realities: it is involved in an "ontological politics." It reflects on activist research and addresses the question of how science, and especially anthropology, can contribute to bringing degrowth alternatives into being. We suggest that to overcome growth society and build a new imaginary, we first need to denaturalize and decenter basic concepts of modern ontology. We then show how and why activist researchers in new social movements such as degrowth are involved in bringing about new concepts, imaginaries, and practices. Drawing on our experiences as activist researchers, we propose some basic strategies and tools for activist research, including deconstruction, and the creation and/or use of new concepts, such as translation and weaving. Key words: ontological politics, activist research, degrowth, alternatives to modernity

The process of new concepts and categories application in M. Semen’ko’s theoretical works is recreated. The author protected the necessity of creating independent conceptual and categorical framework for formal and logical validity of futuristic aesthetic and artistic platform. Introduction of concepts ‘destruction’, ‘texture’ and ‘construction’ is reflected on. It required, on the one hand, their justification and gradual conceptualization, on the other hand, correlation with widely accepted system of aesthetic and arts definitions of fiction work, i.e. contents, form, image, style, composition. Key words: avant-garde, Ukrainian futurism, destruction, construction, texture.

In comparison with the developers of other forms of instrumentation, scanning electron microscope manufacturers are among the most conservative of people. New concepts usually must wait many years before being exploited commercially. The field emission gun, developed by Albert Crewe and his coworkers in 1968 is only now becoming widely available in commercial instruments, while the innovative lens designs of Mulvey are still waiting to be commercially exploited. The associated electronics is still in general based on operating procedures which have changed little since the original microscopes of Oatley and his co-workers.The current interest in low-voltage scanning electron microscopy will, if sub-nanometer resolution is to be obtained in a useable instrument, lead to fundamental changes in the design of the electron optics. Perhaps this is an opportune time to consider other fundamental changes in scanning electron microscopy instrumentation.

Gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GIST) are the most common mesenchymal tumors of the digestive tract (1%). These tumors express the CD 117 in 95% of cases. The stomach is the preferential localization (70%). Diagnosis is difficult and sometimes late. Progress of imaging has greatly improved the management and the prognosis. Computed tomography (CT) is the gold standard for diagnosis, staging, and treatment follow-up. The increasing recognition of GIST’s histopathology and the prolonged survival revealed some suggestive imaging aspects. Key words: gastro-intestinal stromal tumors; computed tomography; diagnosis
