For the problem of data accumulation caused by massive sensor data in transmission line condition monitoring system, this paper analyzes the type and amount of data in the transmission line sensor network, compares the compression algorithms of wireless sensor network data at home and abroad, and proposes an efficient lossless compression algorithm suitable for sensor data in transmission line linear heterogeneous networks. The algorithm combines the wavelet compression algorithm and the neighborhood index sequence algorithm. It displays a fast operation speed and requires a small amount of calculation. It is suitable for battery powered wireless sensor network nodes. By combining wavelet correlation analysis and neighborhood index sequence coding, the compression algorithm proposed in this paper can achieve a high compression rate, has strong robustness to packet loss, has high compression performance, and can help to reduce network load and the packet loss rate. Simulation results show that the proposed method achieves a high compression rate in the compression of the transmission line parameter dataset, is superior to the existing data compression algorithms, and is suitable for the compression and transmission of transmission line condition monitoring data.

Wireless sensor networks are utilized in vital situations like military and commercial applications, traffic surveillance, habitat monitoring, and many other applications. WSNs have to face various issues and challenges in terms of memory, communication, energy, computation, and storage, which require efficient management of huge amount of sensor data. Therefore, storage is an important issue in the WSN. Emergence of Sensor-Cloud infrastructure overcomes several shortcomings of WSN such as storage capacity and offers high processing capabilities for huge sensor data. Security is also the major challenge that is faced by the sensor network. This chapter includes a brief overview of the importance of cloud computing in sensor networks and the goal of DDoS and Node Capture Attack in WSN. This chapter includes descriptions of different modeling techniques of Node Capture attack and various detection and key pre-distribution schemes to invent a new technique to improve network resilience against node capture attacks.

A greenhouse provides a stable and suitable environment for the growth of plants. Temperature and humidity are closely related to plant growth. These factors directly affect the water content of plants and the quality of fruits. To solve the problems in the current monitoring system of greenhouse cultivation, such as complicated wiring, large node power consumption, and so on, this study proposes a wireless sensor network greenhouse-monitoring system based on third-generation network communication for the real-time monitoring of the temperature, humidity, light, and CO2 concentration in a greenhouse. GS1011M is regarded as the core in developing wireless terminal nodes. PC software is used to build a real-time observation platform. Sensor data are received in real time through a wireless communication network to complete the monitoring of the target area. A simulation research is also conducted. Results show that the power dissipation of the greenhouse environmental monitoring system is low, its data accuracy is high, and its operation is stable.
