The complex nature of slip-rolling contacts in many applications such as gear tooth flanks, rolling bearings, and heavy machinery often makes determining the friction and wear properties, as well as the fatigue resistance, of tribosystems difficult. The establishment of the tribological profile of a tribocouple under high Hertzian contact pressure and under slip-rolling will allow for the measurement and comparison of friction and wear coefficients as well as slip-rolling resistance by continuously monitoring the wear rate, coefficient of friction, temperature, oil film thickness, and/or electrical contact resistance using high-resolution signal analysis (HRA). A twin disc system can provide insight into the adhesive behavior of material and lubricant products such as alternative base oils and additives, ceramics, alloys, and thin film coatings. The strength and endurance of these products are often characterized through fatigue and resistance tests, which apply high Hertzian contact pressures to the rolling contact until seizure or failure is obtained. The further observation of the formation of tribofilms on the surface of contact yields information about the reactivity and thermochemical properties of additives. This review aims to illustrate how the implementation of different screening methodologies can be used as a meaningful tool for assessing the aforementioned tribological profile properties for the development of slip-rolling tribosystems.

The effects of acrylamide modified liner on bonding properties and tribological properties of self-lubricating spherical plain bearings were explored by used of Instron5944 electronic universal testing machine and homemade spherical plain bearings friction and wear tester. The results showed that the bonding properties of bearings modified by acrylamide modified liner were much more improved than those of the unmodified bearings; Self-lubricating spherical plain bearing friction and wear properties and oscillating frequency obvious correlational dependence. With the increase of the oscillation frequency, the friction coefficient and the wear loss increased, while the friction temperature rose. The friction coefficient, wear loss and friction temperature of bearings modified were much more improved than those of the unmodified bearings. It showed that the liners after modification treatment can improve the tribological properties of self-lubricating spherical plain bearings.

Based on actual working conditions and parameters of the hydraulic steering gear, the purpose is optimizing the rubber seal of steering gear by different rubbers mixing technology. Compare the five kinds of rubber with metal of the friction characteristics in dynamic fit, it can obtain a performance excellent rubber real in the specific operation conditions. And then improve the overall service life of the steering gear. It is first prepared the same hardness TPU and PVC and blends that the ratio is 3:7, 5:5and7:3 in this article. The pros and cons of the five rubbers are analyzed in friction and wear properties of the above experimental. The test curve of coefficient friction and wear with time has been done under different load at constant low speed. It determines TPU/PVC = 3:7 blends through friction and wear and wear mechanism of five rubbers with steel comparatively analyses, and the heat resistance and wear resistance of them are better than the other TPU/PVC blends and PVC under oil lubrication conditions.
