To avoid the occurrence of surface cracks at the welds, it is important to lower the stress concentration in the zone of the weld face by an appropriate choice of parameters. A plethora of experiments was conducted varying four welding techniques. The welded samples were scanned with 3D scanners and the toe radius was measured on each sample. The significance of the obtained results was analyzed using Pareto diagrams. The experiment results analysis shows that the length of the electrode stick-out has a significant influence on the toe radius, while the shielding gas has a great effect on the toe radius. Moreover, with the analysis of results obtained by experiments it was proved that the interaction of the torch angle and the number of cover passes, as well as that of the torch angle and the shielding gas, has a significant influence on the toe radius.

Abstract Nimonic 80 and Nimonic 80A are nickel-base alloys containing a high percentage of chromium, with aluminum and titanium as hardening agents. They are made to the same compositional specification, but Nimonic 80A is produced to meet a more severe requirement with respect to resistance to creep when stressed at higher temperatures than Nimonic 80. Both alloys show high strength at high temperature levels and are very resistant to scaling, oxidation, heat and corrosion. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, elasticity, and tensile properties as well as creep. It also includes information on high temperature performance and corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, joining, and surface treatment. Filing Code: Ni-10. Producer or source: Henry Wiggin & Company Ltd.

In this paper, effects of nano-CaCO3 on compressive strength and Microstructure of high strength concrete in standard curing temperature(21±1°C) and low curing temperature(6.5±1°C) was studied. In order to improve the early strength of the concrete in low temperature, the early strength agent calcium nitrite was added into. Test results indicated that 0.5% dosage of nano-CaCO3 could inhibit the effect of calcium nitrite as early strength agent, but 1% and 2% dosage of nano-CaCO3 could improve the strength of the concrete by 13% and 18% in standard curing temperature and by 17% and 14% in low curing temperature at the age of 3days. According to the XRD spectrum, with the dosage up to 1% to 2%, nano-CaCO3 can change the orientation index significantly, leading to the improvement of strength of concrete both in standard curing temperature and low curing temperature.

Three point bending tests were carried out on 14mm-thick Q460C the high-strength structural steel at low temperature, and scanning electronic microscope of the fracture appearance was analyzed. The results showed that the obvious feature of brittle mechanism was shown on the three point bending specimen fracture whose testing took place at -40°C. And the crack tip opening displacement value of Q460C steel, which was less than that of Q235 steel, Q345 steel and Q390 steel at low temperature, tended to decrease with respect to the temperature reduction. Moreover, a Boltzmann function fitting analysis was applied to the experimental data, and the ductile-brittle transition temperature and the changing regularity were obtained.
