In the upbringing of preschool age children from the families of Antiterrorist operation participants and internally displaced persons, Ukrainian toys are used primarily as effective ethnocultural means of correctional and educational work, carried out to ensure successful adaptation of children to new conditions, their re-socialization. Since these children are very often reticent, they refuse to communicate with both the teacher and other children in the group, the content of such work is the creation by the educator of a positive emotional and sensual background for the child’s perception of the new environment, the involuntary establishment of a communicative contact with her, encouraging the child to engage in active communicative activities with peers and adults. Folk toy is also an important means of national-patriotic education, because through manipulative actions with it, the child deepens knowledge about everyday life and features of the traditional family and social relations of Ukrainians, and accordingly expands the system of ideas about his people and his culture. Ukrainian folk toy is an effective means of aesthetic education of children, since it is a skillful example of Ukrainian decorative and applied art.

Children from families of ATO participants and internally displaced persons are extremely psychologically susceptible. Therefore, it is necessary to provide them with an emotionally comfortable environment for education and development, to promote the restoration of emotional stability and equilibrium. A lullaby is an effective ethno-cultural tool to overcome disturbing feelings that often cover a child of preschool age, creating an atmosphere of love, tenderness, cosiness and calm in the process of her education and development. With the help of amusements, tricks, humorous songs, an educator can create a relaxed and positive atmosphere and, accordingly, accelerate the process of re-socialization of children of these categories in new conditions or circumstances, to organize a comfortable environment for the restoration of their emotional balance. To overcome the negative consequences of children psychotraumatic situations, the elimination of a state of internal tension, emotional anxiety and the subsequent formation of emotional state of internal balance, vivacity, it is recommended to use song-fairy tales. Fables are considered to be an additional ethno-cultural tool for creating a relaxed communicative environment, overcoming the depressed emotional state of children from the families of ATO participants and internally displaced persons.

Successful social adaptation of ATO participants and internally displaced persons (IDPs) contributes to enhancing the economy, developing social relations, culture and political stability along with reducing social tension, smoothing the depopulation effects in the host communities, etc. The concentration of refugees and IDPs varies across the regions of Ukraine, however, the problem of their social adaptation is relevant to all regions of the country and the entire Ukrainian society. Social adaptation of ATO participants and IDPs is defined as the establishment of optimal relationships with social institutions, authorities and groups in the territory of their residence; reinforcement of the trend towards partnerships with other groups based on the alignment of indicators of their social and economic status; normalization of moral and psychological well-being of IDPs based on the feelings of belongingness to local community; awareness and acceptance of shared values, beliefs and norms. The research hypothesis relies on the total array of scientific statements, mechanisms and institutes of economic and social adaptation of ATO participants and internally displaced persons (IDPs) that allows exploring the factors of their capacity to business reintegration. It is proved that the quality of integration of ATO participants and internally displaced persons (IDPs) in host communities is associated with overcoming serious problems and challenges, some of them have not been resolved so far even in relatively wealthy democracies. Apparently, the major barrier is the lack of resources, if the government fails to provide necessary funding from the state budget or find additional assets from the international community, the integration of ATO participant and internally displaced persons (IDPs) will hardly move on at a desired pace. It is specified that integration and adaptation are complex processes and do not suggest quick standard scenarios. Not all the proposed measures and actions provide for cost increase; however, a number of qualitative improvements are needed.
