Cloud computing is one of the highly sought-after paradigms in information technology. In several cases, it has surpassed earlier predictions of growth, and expanding its services to cover all the key areas. With the growing usage of the cloud, new requirements have also surfaced. To meet user expectations, the cloud services pool has expanded drastically. In order to meet the subscriber's futuristic demands, cloud computing needs to advance further. This work undertakes the study of expansion and innovations that have already happened in the recent past. In addition, perceived cloud evolution in the futuristic cloud has been presented. During the course of exploration, the impact of hardware and software on evolution has been taken into account. Considering the benefits involved, and the current advancement, this work concludes by presenting the innovations that will lead to cloud development.

Cloud Computing has become the predominant paradigm in information technology for the use of distributed resources. It enables the Internet of Services where different provider offer services and compose services to new value added services. For the emerging service value chains the quality the services plays an important role. Therefore, beside software engineering methods aspects like quality of services, business models, and the interaction with the customer have to be considered during the development of cloud services. This chapter describes how these aspects can be integrated in the development process by combining software and service engineering methods and considering quality as a critical success factor in the design time.

Cloud services and technologies are currently receiving increased attention from the industry mostly due to business-driven promises and expectations. Significant innovations in virtualization and distributed computing, as well as improved access to high-speed Internet and a weak economy, have accelerated interest in cloud computing. However, is the migration to the Cloud the most profitable option for every business? Enterprise adoption of cloud computing often requires a significant transformation of existing Information Technology (IT) systems and processes. To justify such a change, a viable business case must be made based on the economics of transformation. This chapter presents a study of the basic parameters for estimating the potential infrastructure and software costs deriving from building and deploying applications on cloud and on-premise assets. Estimated user demand and desired quality attributes related to an application are also addressed in this chapter as they are aspects of the decision problem that also influence the choice between cloud and in-house solutions.

This article is a bibliographic review and focuses on a brief introduction to Cloud Computing as an innovative educational tool. Cloud technology is rapidly spreading in educational institutions, sometimes replacing the in-house infrastructure with cloud services. Education plays an important role in a country’s economy and today, the educational model in many countries has evolved with technology. Schools and universities in the world extensively use cloud Based Technology. Digital teaching – E-Learning and cloud-based technology are the latest models that have been widely adopted in the educational field. The identified trends in the use of cloud computing in education are clear, ranging from the design of cloud-oriented learning environments for future information technology specialists to the training of information technology specialists to enable them to obtain competencies in the use of cloud technologies. Cloud computing is a distributed computing paradigm, where, instead of acquiring information technology products, users access shared resources under various service models through a network, usually the Internet. The application of cloud computing is very broad and growing daily because of many advantages to the users, and is driven by the increasing use of various mobile devices (laptops, tablets and smartphones) and mobile Internet access being more available. The perspectives of its integration in the learning process are highlighted, as well as the factors that make its implementation difficult. Finally, some general conclusions presented on how technologies should be adopted to meet the educational needs of this new global challenge and some suggestions are made for more effective training through the Cloud Computing, as the need for further research emerges

Cloud computing is transforming the accounting profession and gaining worldwide attention. According to Jeff Drew, senior editor covering technology for the Journal of Accountancy, cloud computing was one of the most talked about topics during a recent AICPA Practitioners Symposium and TECH+ Conference. Gartner Inc., a world leader in information technology and analysis, projects worldwide cloud service revenues to reach $148.8 billion in 2014. Notwithstanding its rave reviews, many continue to resist the cloud. Whether from ignorance of its workings and advantages or uncertainty due to its newness and challenges, questions and concerns weigh heavily among those contemplating its adoption. Accountants who stay abreast of new developments within the field of cloud computing, becoming not only educated but experienced, will be able to provide assistance and advice in an organizations assessment process of this new cloud-based delivery platform. This article defines cloud computing and highlights some of the associated advantages and challenges faced by organizations considering cloud services.

This chapter discusses those mobile applications that are assisted with services provided by the cloud. This combines the two most pervasive topics within information technology today: cloud computing and mobile computing. This chapter describes the challenges and opportunities offered by these technologies and the issues arising during their implementation. Some representative cloud services for mobile applications are offered as part of an on-going CLASS research project.
