In order to model and evaluate large-scale quantum systems, e.g., quantum computer and quantum annealer, it is necessary to quantify the “quantumness” of such systems. In this paper, we discuss the dimensionless combinations of basic parameters of large, partially quantum coherent systems, which could be used to characterize their degree of quantumness. Based on analytical and numerical calculations, we suggest one such number for a system of qubits undergoing adiabatic evolution, i.e., the accessibility index. Applying it to the case of D-Wave One superconducting quantum annealing device, we find that its operation as described falls well within the quantum domain.

Many options have been developed for the implementation of the algorithm for updating the fleet of grain harvesters to date. In accordance with the yield and other indicators, recommendations for the formation and renewal of the harvester fleet are proposed discretely in the form of tables or charts. This form of information does not always meet the requirements of operational correction and does not allow assessing the technological capabilities of the harvesting units, depending on the harvesting conditions. The method to improve the formation of the initial information for operational decision-making on the effective upgrading of technical means of grain harvesting complex taking into account the zonal features of a particular agricultural enterprise is proposed. A graph-analytical method for determining the main parameters of the basic harvesting tools depending on the predicted yield level is developed and the influence of the factors determining the composition of the grain harvesting fleet is assessed. This method makes it possible to identify the most rational basic parameters of alternative basic harvesting tools for a specific agricultural enterprise. The first step is to determine the basic parameters of the basic equipment, then select the appropriate size series of self-propelled threshers for combine harvesters and reapers. Further, alternative versions of various models of grain harvesting units and complexes are formed. For the subsequent selection of rational types of cleaning agents and their criterion assessment, technical and technological, environmental and other indicators are used. The expert-logical analysis of information resources makes it possible to identify and assess the factors that determine the quantitative composition of the technical means of the grain harvesting complex. The final stage in the formation of the initial information for making a decision on updating the technical means of the grain harvesting complex should be their economic assessment, which makes it possible to predict the competitiveness of the threshed grain.

The investigation of characteristics of access and use of resources in different distributed environments in the network space is aimed at determining optimal levels for the basic parameters of the supported processes. On the other hand, with the development of the possibilities of the digital space and the significant change in the level of informatization of the society, it is necessary to take the necessary measures to ensure secure access to information resources and in particular to the profiles of personal data. In this respect, the purpose of the article is to propose an organization of heterogeneous environment with resources stored in different places (own memories and cloud data centres). A general architecture and functionality of the main sub-systems are presented. Deterministic model investigation by using Petri Net apparatus based on preliminary formalization is provided to analyse the effectiveness of the processes for regulated and secure access to resources.

Digitalization is a phenomenon that is spreading day by day on a global scale. Both physiological decline and dissonances in education and professional experience strengthen the possibility of excluding the elder in the new economic and social order where digitalization has accelerated. In a period of 10 years if Industry 4.0 is taken as a milestone, and 5-6 years if Society 5.0 is taken as a milestone, it is natural to experience insufficiencies in the awareness of elder employees although there is a rapid transformation process. Therefore, problems may arise in the possibility of the surveys to be conducted for the addressee to constitute a healthy indicator. It can be argued that, in studies that are based on the analysis of secondary data, the differential feature of basic parameters such as internet usage, which is very common like literacy, will remain limited.

A new framework for pricing European vulnerable options is developed in the case where the underlying stock price and firm value follow the mixed fractional Brownian motion with jumps, respectively. This research uses the actuarial approach to study the pricing problem of European vulnerable options. An analytic closed-form pricing formula for vulnerable options with jumps is obtained. For the purpose of understanding the pricing model, some properties of this pricing model are discussed in the paper. Finally, we compare and analyze the pricing results of different pricing models and discuss the influences of basic parameters on the pricing results of our proposed model by using numerical simulations, and the corresponding economic analyses about these influences are given.

The article is devoted to the problem of implementation of intelligent control systems in transport. An important task is to assess the information parameters of the control systems. In the existing works the question of definition of one of the basic parameters of functioning of locomotive control systems - information value of separate signs of a train situation is not considered. This does not make it possible to determine the order of signal processing at the input and assess their contribution to the adoption of a control decision. Moreover, informativeness is a relative value, which is expressed in the different information value of a particular feature for the classification of different train situations. Also, the informativeness of the feature may depend on the type of decisive rules in the classification procedure. The quality of recognition of a train situation in which the locomotive crew is, depends on the quality of the features used by the classification system. The decisive criterion for the informativeness of the features in the problem of pattern recognition is the magnitude of losses from errors. To determine the range of the most informative features of train situations, the method of random search with adaptation was used. The results of the work make it possible to optimize the operation of automated and intelligent train control systems by reducing the amount of calculations and simplifying their algorithm.

Chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) is the most common blood malignancy with multiple therapeutic challenges. Cold physical plasma has been considered a promising approach in cancer therapy in recent years. In this study, we aimed to evaluate the cytotoxic effect of cold plasma or plasma-treated solutions (PTS) on hematologic parameters in the whole blood of CLL patients. The mean red blood cell count, white blood cell (WBC) count, platelet and hemoglobin counts, and peripheral blood smear images did not significantly differ between treated and untreated samples in either CLL or healthy individuals. However, both direct plasma and indirect PTS treatment increased lipid peroxidation and RNS deposition in the whole blood of CLL patients and in healthy subjects. In addition, the metabolic activity of WBCs was decreased with 120 s of cold plasma or PTS treatment after 24 h and 48 h. However, cold plasma and PTS treatment did not affect the prothrombin time, partial thromboplastin time, nor hemolysis in either CLL patients or in healthy individuals. The present study identifies the components of cold plasma to reach the blood without disturbing the basic parameters important in hematology, confirming the idea that the effect of cold plasma may not be limited to solid tumors and possibly extends to hematological disorders. Further cellular and molecular studies are needed to determine which cells in CLL patients are targeted by cold plasma or PTS.

The comparative analysis of means of control of a thermal mode at minimization of a complex of the basic parameters in various combinations with indicators of reliability and dynamics of functioning of one-stage thermoelectric cooler is resulted. The study was conducted for the operating range of temperature differences, standard heat load and different geometry of the branches of thermocouples. According to the results of research to minimize the sets of basic parameters in interaction with the indicators of reliability and dynamics of work, a number of current modes of operation have been developed. The developed mathematical models for the optimal operating current from the relative temperature difference and heat transfer of the radiator for the proposed operating modes are analyzed. The results of calculations of the main parameters, reliability indicators, and time of transition to stationary mode of operation for different current modes of operation in the range of temperature differences for different geometry of branches of thermoelements are given. The extremes of dependences of the cooling coefficient, heat dissipation capacity of the radiator, the amount of energy consumed on the relative operating current are determined, which is essential for the implementation of the control function. The possibility of choosing the current mode of operation for optimal control of the thermal regime of single-stage thermoelectric devices manufactured by the same technology, taking into account mass, size, energy, reliability and dynamic characteristics. The developed method of optimal regulation of the thermal regime of a single-stage thermoelectric cooler based on minimizing the set of basic parameters allows finding and choosing compromise solutions taking into account the importance of each of the limiting factors.

Water hyacinth (Eichhornia crassipes L.) was introduced as an invasive plant in freshwater bodies more particularly in Asia and Africa. This invasive plant grows rapidly and then occupies a huge layer of freshwater bodies. Hence, challenges are facing many countries for implementing suitable approaches for the valorization of the world’s worst aquatic weed, and water hyacinth (WH). A critical and up-to-date review article has been conducted for more than 1 year, based on more than 100 scientific journal articles, case studies, and other scientific reports. Worldwide distribution of WH and the associated social, economic, and environmental impacts were described. In addition, an extensive evaluation of the most widely used and innovative valorization biotechnologies, leading to the production of biofertilizer and bioenergy from WH, and was dressed. Furthermore, an integrated search was used in order to examine the related advantages and drawbacks of each bioprocess, and future perspectives stated. Aerobic and anaerobic processes have their specific basic parameters, ensuring their standard performances. Composting was mostly used even at a large scale, for producing biofertilizers from WH. Nevertheless, this review explored some critical points to better optimize the conditions (presence of pollutants, inoculation, and duration) of composting. WH has a high potential for biofuel production, especially by implementing several pretreatment approaches. This review highlighted the combined pretreatment (physical-chemical-biological) as a promising approach to increase biofuel production. WH valorization must be in large quantities to tackle its fast proliferation and to ensure the generation of bio-based products with significant revenue. So, a road map for future researches and applications based on an advanced statistical study was conducted. Several recommendations were explored in terms of the choice of co-substrates, initial basic parameters, and pretreatment conditions and all crucial conditions for the production of biofuels from WH. These recommendations will be of a great interest to generate biofertilizers and bioenergy from WH, especially within the framework of a circular economy.
