The research describes the process of a digital approach in teaching a foreign language using various programs, teaching materials and teaching competencies. Recently, at the development of the distance technologies, the aim is to organize the educational process so that it is given the new educational forms, in terms of quality, a result that is at least the same as traditional ones. In addition, there are many questions related to methods of measuring online learning effectiveness, as it provides an opportunity for continuous learning and improvement of the professional activities. Modern changes in modern social life and culture require a restructuring of the training specialists` system, the development of new technologies in education that implement the training of a person with the necessary social and professional competencies. In this regard, the education system is changing and developing. The application of the most suitable MS Teams platform for implementing the educational process and mastering the necessary competencies is considered. The stages and areas for the implementation of the training material are listed in detail. The authors focus on the relevance of achieving the maximum use of various interactive forms of education using innovative technologies and achieving competencies. The paper examines the use of such technologies, discusses the advantages and disadvantages of using such technologies. Methods and approaches in distance or online learning for the assimilation of educational material and mastering the necessary competencies are determined. This chapter discusses the imperative prerequisite to the effective adoption of e-learning by institutions of higher education, namely, the adoption of new pedagogical perspectives and methods. It examines the purposes and goals of higher education, some grounded in tradition, others born of contemporary demands. By focusing on thinking skills, deep learning, and mature outcomes, the author underscores the need for such pedagogical foci to be integrated into the very fabric of higher education’s adoption of e-learning. The hoped for outcome of such a consideration is a transformed institution, enabled to meet the demands of learners and society in the twenty-first century.

Abstract The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development promotes with the Sustainable Development Goal 4 a quality education for all and aims to ensure equal access to all levels of education and vocational training for vulnerable groups, such as Indigenous Peoples. However, most education systems are not yet in a position to embrace a culturally appropriate way of teaching children and youth of their Indigenous communities. The #IndigenousESD research creates a voice for relevant education stakeholder groups, including Indigenous Elders/leaders, ministry officials, parents, students, and teachers from communities with Indigenous students on their perceptions of quality education. Based on a participatory research approach developed together with Indigenous communities and researchers from around the world, dialogues held in 54 research settings in 26 countries show a focus on the acquisition of twenty-first century competencies for learners amongst the most important aspects of a quality education. For this article, the authors focused on knowledge, attitudes and skills, providing recommendations for policy makers in education to better address the needs and priorities of Indigenous communities. Findings from the research indicate that teaching twenty-first century competencies are at the center of concern in all stakeholder groups, yet want these competencies taught in a context to which Indigenous students can readily relate. Adjusting the pedagogy of delivering these common competencies in the classroom could be an important step towards a feasible and affordable path within existing education systems to better serve Indigenous students and all learners.
