Lightning is natural phenomenon that is the result of electrostatic events in the cloud for their difference in charge between the clouds or the difference in charge between the cloud and the earth and become involved in the discharge and generate an electric arc that we can see as lightning. To protect the building from the danger of lightning strikes the lightning rod should be installed so that the building and electrical devices that are in, it are protected from over voltage from lightning strikes them. The finial project will discuss the calculation and the elevation of the external lightning protection system that has existed in the building of the Office of Employment Branch BPJS Blitar and compare it with the existing theories regarding the calculation of the lightning rod. From the calculation and elevation by the author can be concluded that the lightning rod mounted on the Office of Employment Branch BPJS Blitar cannot protect the building properly.

<p> A lightning strike could bring thousands mega-ampere of current in a blink of eyes. As a result, a failure of grounding the strike may cause serious damage to the home and industrial appliances and gadgets. Hence, a lightning protection system is essential to the current transmission system. Lighting is a natural phenomenon that is unavoidable. Hence, the study of the properties and characteristics of lightning is a must in designing lighting protection system. Every application has different criteria to be fulfilled. The type of lighting protection system is categorized based on the location and user. The different of location is a public area, transportation system, power system transmission and generation system which include renewable energy source. Each area can conclude different level of protection. This paper is assessing the possibility and probability of transient impact on all applications including, public area, power system line, and generating system. The review includes countermeasure which addressed few steps to determine the effect of lightning and countermeasure of protection.</p>

Lightning is a natural phenomenon that cannot be prevented, therefore the specific system need to be installed in the building to reduce or eliminate the impact of lightning flash and safely discharge to the ground. The country along the equator including Africa, South America and Southern Asia received the highest number of lightning. Malaysia experienced in average of 100 to 140 days of lightning and 600000 to 1300000 number of lightning flash per year. This research is conducted to identify the materials selection for the lightning protection system especially the down conductor cable. Several projects around Malaysia had been selected for this purpose. From the research, they are two types of lightning protection system commonly implemented in Malaysian buildings; the conventional method and structural bonding method. It was found that 23 % of the projects used structural bonding method, mostly from the government projects, and 77% of the projects used conventional method. For the down conductor cable selection, the conventional method used the copper and aluminium tape. And for the structural bonding method the galvanized steel iron was used as the down conductor cable.

A bolt of lightning hits occurs when there are electrical imbalances between storm clouds and the ground, or within the clouds themselves. The majority of lightning strikes inside clouds [1] . One of the most promising and developing areas in the energy sector is development of renewable energy sources. Among others technologies of solar energy and wind power are the fastest to develop in the sector. That is why solar power plants are under discussion in this paper. The increase in the Solar Power Plant’s capacity in Ukraine from 2018 to 2020 reached 7 times. Problems that may interfere with the functioning of the ground solar power plants are considered as this technology covers large areas of land and is on the 1st place on the amount of lightning strikes among the renewables. Ways to solve the problems associated with the damage from direct lightning strikes for ground solar power plants are discussed in this paper. Active and passive types of lightning protection for inland solar power plants are investigated and their modeling is carried out and presented in this paper. The measures proposed in this paper based on the implementation of an active lightning protection system ensure uninterrupted operation of the ground solar power plants, avoid reduction of service life and unnecessary economic costs for the replacement of damaged photovoltaic modules, reduced costs related to complexity of installation of passive system in comparison to active lightning protection system.

In this paper, the performance of a lightning protection system (LPS) on a grid-connected photovoltaic (PV) park is studied by simulating different scenarios with the use of an appropriate software tool. The aim of this paper is to highlight the importance of an LPS and optimize its design for the protection of equipment and personnel in case of a direct lightning strike. In particular, developed potential due to lightning strikes is examined considering isolated and non-isolated external LPS. Moreover, the effect of the separation distance on the lightning performance of the PV installation is investigated for different soil structures and grounding systems. The extracted results are expected to support the design and implementation of a secure PV park and endorse its uninterrupted operation considering techno-economically balanced protection measures.

The difference between average densities of the Moon and Earth was interpreted in the preceding report by Professor H. Urey as indicating a difference in their chemical composition. Therefore, Urey assumes the Moon's formation to have taken place far away from the Earth, under conditions differing substantially from the conditions of Earth's formation. In such a case, the Earth should have captured the Moon. As is admitted by Professor Urey himself, such a capture is a very improbable event. In addition, an assumption that the “lunar” dimensions were representative of protoplanetary bodies in the entire solar system encounters great difficulties.

Relation between the different of religion comunity in the multicultural nation as in Indonesia be a natural phenomenon that it cannot be avoided. As to one of the problem that had appeared in this case is about wedding problem betweena moslem with the difference religion womans. Majority of the Indonesia religious scholars as scholar in Majelis Tarjih Muhammadiyah had been prohibiting wedding like that with various reason. while a part little of the contemporary moslem scholars have been permiting the wedding. The points which will discussed in this research is how is opinion of Majelis Tarjih Muhammadiyah about the law of wedding with the woman from Ahl Al-Kitab and its ijtihad methodology. This research should analyze the argumentation of the Majelis Tarjih that make forbidding a muslem married with the difference religion womans. This research using library research approach dan content analysis. The results of this research are: (1) Majelis Tarjih of Muhammadiyah forbidding the wedding with sad al-dzari’ah as its argumentation; (2) Majelis Tarjih’s opinion has been irrelevant because two reason, the mistake of methodology and the change of the Indonesian contemporary society (based on an empiric data). Keywords: Ahlu Kitab; Majelis Tarjih; Different Religion Marriage
