A bolt of lightning hits occurs when there are electrical imbalances between storm clouds and the ground, or within the clouds themselves. The majority of lightning strikes inside clouds [1] . However, this lightning is a natural phenomenon that occurs when lightning strikes the earth. Lightning strike, one of the most severe convective natural events, occurs suddenly almost everywhere on the earth’s surface. Around the world, more than 1600–2400 thunderstorms occur at any given time, with 50,000 occurring per day

As a natural phenomenon, thunder and lightning have a major impact on human production and life. As an important part of lightning protection technology, the main task of the lightning mobile positioning system is to detect and determine the location of lightning and, at the same time, provide more accurate lightning discharge parameters for lightning research. It is a new technology that serves the entire society and is in urgent need of development. This paper aims to study the trend prediction of thunderstorm cloud based on the monitoring data of the thunder and lightning mobile positioning system. In this thesis, the inverse distance-weighted interpolation method can be used to determine the lightning area and the principle of lightning monitoring and positioning, and the classification of lightning and the practical significance of lightning mobile positioning system monitoring are also studied. Finally, the Hurst index of this paper can reveal the trend elements in the time series well through the experiment, so as to judge the lightning strikes. At the same time, it also introduces everyone’s satisfaction survey on the lightning mobile positioning system. The results of this paper show that the lightning mobile positioning system has been widely used in our country’s meteorological monitoring stations, and it plays a very important role in our national defense lightning strikes and effectively realizes the lightning strike prediction in the monitoring process, which can better enable the competent department to take timely and accurate measures to prevent lightning strikes. Experimental analysis shows that the accuracy of the lightning mobile positioning system has reached 92%, and the practicability has reached 88%.

Lightning is the discharge of an electric charge forming in the atmosphere between the earth and clouds which travels downward in a branching pattern. It is estimated that there are some 1800 active thunderstorms at any given moment. Lightning may injure or kill a person by a direct strike, a side-flash or conduction through another object. Agricultural workers are at risk in developing and underdeveloped countries, as are those engaging in sporting activities elsewhere. Fatalities resulting from lightning strikes may not show specific symptoms at autopsy, but there may be symptoms of burns on clothes and body and fernlike marks specific to lightning strikes on their bodies. Other signs are acute kidney failure, cardiac arrhythmias and deaths, and while internal organs may show oedema, congestion, etc, this is not in itself sufficient to establish causation. When diagnosing death from a lightning strike, it is essential to examine the deceased’s clothes, their external body and carry out a crime scene investigation. We report a series of three cases of death from a lightning strike in previously healthy men engaged in their daily activities.

Lightning activities are growing up rapidly with global warming. It can affect anything on the earth. All the constructed buildings need proper protection from the harmful effect of lightning. Lightning strike points on different geometrical shapes have been investigated. Lightning strike distribution of different building structure is very important to be studied. In order to analyse the maximum effect of lightning strike pattern is obtained of different air terminals installed on scaled building structures. High voltage impulse generator is used in order to get the impulse voltage. Different numbers of air terminals have been applied to all the shapes in order to see the lightning strike points. Electric field is obtained in order to see its minimum and maximum effect on the entire building structure. Interestingly the phenomenon of lightning air terminal bypasses has been proved in this paper.

Lightning is natural phenomenon that is the result of electrostatic events in the cloud for their difference in charge between the clouds or the difference in charge between the cloud and the earth and become involved in the discharge and generate an electric arc that we can see as lightning. To protect the building from the danger of lightning strikes the lightning rod should be installed so that the building and electrical devices that are in, it are protected from over voltage from lightning strikes them. The finial project will discuss the calculation and the elevation of the external lightning protection system that has existed in the building of the Office of Employment Branch BPJS Blitar and compare it with the existing theories regarding the calculation of the lightning rod. From the calculation and elevation by the author can be concluded that the lightning rod mounted on the Office of Employment Branch BPJS Blitar cannot protect the building properly.

Exiting socialism by almost a third of the earth population appears to be the most prominent event of the late XX century. The author makes an attempt to formulate some challenges of this process and thus a theory of exiting socialism. First, he inquires into the concept of exiting socialism as it exists in the world. Then he analyzes real experiences in this field. The research enables the author to outline the main economic, governmental and social challenges of such exit - from municipal economy to science and culture.

There is something more catastrophic than the end of the world, especially when ‘world’ is understood as the horizon of meaning and expectation that has composed the West. If the Anthropocene is the geological period marking the point at which the earth as a living system has been altered by ‘anthropos,’ the Trumpocene marks the twenty-first-century recognition that the destruction of the planet has occurred by way of racial violence, slavery and annihilation. Rather than saving the world, recognizing the Trumpocene demands that we think about destroying the barbarism that has marked the earth.

The essay discusses selected poems from Thomas Hardy's vast body of poetry, focusing on representations of the self and the world. Employing Maurice Merleau-Ponty's concepts such as the body-subject, wild being, flesh, and reversibility, the essay offers an analysis of Hardy's poems in the light of phenomenological philosophy. It argues that far from demonstrating ‘cosmic indifference’, Hardy's poetry offers a sympathetic vision of interrelations governing the universe. The attunement with voices of the Earth foregrounded in the poems enables the self's entanglement in the flesh of the world, a chiasmatic intertwining of beings inserted between the leaves of the world. The relation of the self with the world is established through the act of perception, mainly visual and aural, when the body becomes intertwined with the world, thus resulting in a powerful welding. Such moments of vision are brief and elusive, which enhances a sense of transitoriness, and, yet, they are also timeless as the self becomes immersed in the experience. As time is a recurrent theme in Hardy's poetry, this essay discusses it in the context of dwelling, the provisionality of which is demonstrated in the prevalent sense of temporality, marked by seasons and birdsong, which underline the rhythms of the world.

Despite the dumbing-down of education in recent years, it would be unusual to find a ten-year-old who could not name the major continents on a map of the world. Yet how many adults have the faintest idea of the structures that exist within the Earth? Understandably, knowledge is limited by the fact that the Earth’s interior is less accessible than the surface of Pluto, mapped in 2016 by the NASA New Horizons spacecraft. Indeed, Pluto, 7.5 billion kilometres from Earth, was discovered six years earlier than the similar-sized inner core of our planet. Fortunately, modern seismic techniques enable us to image the mantle right down to the core, while laboratory experiments simulating the pressures and temperatures at great depth, combined with computer modelling of mantle convection, help identify its mineral and chemical composition. The results are providing the most rapid advances in our understanding of how this planet works since the great revolution of the 1960s.
