This study aims to illustrate the challenges and opportunities of implementing hybrid literacy at Junior High School level in Surabaya. Drawing from amalgamation of interviews with ten teachers who are responsible and concerned with the literacy programme in their schools, classroom observations and documents analysis, the findings indicate that the potential implementation of hybrid literacy within the schools in Surabaya tend to be disrupted by several aspects, all of which are surrounding social and cultural aspect. Social aspect such as students’ social condition and school facilities are being the principal challenges in implementing hybrid literacy, whilst cultural aspect such as the school orientation to a particular type of literacy is also prominent to inhibit the implementation of hybrid literacy practices. This study, to some extent, is able to portray the dynamic challenges of hybrid literacy application in the school literacy programmes within the city as well as the potential sources which positively help facilitate the implementation of the future literacy programme, hybrid literacy. Although this study can be used as a reflection of the actor’s lens involved in the literacy programme in Surabaya, the data is limited to three schools. The future study, therefore, should anticipate involving more schools and participants (teachers and students) to get richer data findings in regard with the challenges and opportunities of the implementation of the programme. The increasing number of residents in Surabaya City which has been continuously happening for the last 3 years has put pressure on environmental quality and sanitation. Each year in the coastal and riverbanks areas increased the domestic waste of the community resulting in decreased environmental quality. This study aims to review the management of stool waste in Surabaya City from 3 (three) aspects, namely: management aspect, social aspect of society and regulation aspect. The results of the demonstration to improve the management of stool waste in the city of Surabaya required a breakthrough in the service of stool waste management by implementing scheduled sludge service

AbstractThe COVID-19 pandemic has brought unprecedented challenges to the maritime supply chain and called for accelerated adoption of digital technologies in various aspects of maritime operations, including the area of maritime education and training (MET). This paper aims to discuss the current maritime simulator-based training and educational practices that forms an integral part in seafarer training and competency development. The study provides a review of the existing simulators in use in MET, and discusses upon the technological and pedagogical advancement of maritime simulator-based training interventions with predictions regarding the future MET practices with use of virtual reality and cloud-based simulators. This study—by focusing on ship’s bridge operations—highlights the characteristics of various types of simulators and also discusses the role of instructors, challenges, and opportunities involving future simulator-based MET due to accelerated adoption of digital technologies and the need to comply with pandemic-related restrictions for MET institutes. The analysis generated in the paper may contribute to the ongoing discussion regarding the future of simulator-based MET and the fulfillment of the UN Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4 in the maritime sector.

Abstract: Integrated One-Stop School Evaluation Using Analysis SWOT-Analytic NetworkProcess (Case Study in Purwakarta Regency). One way to reduce dropout rates is through aSekolah Satu Atap Terpadu. One of the regencies in West Java that has organized a SekolahSatu Atap Terpadu as well as the object of this research is Purwakarta regency. By using SWOTAnalyticNetwork Process(ANP)analysis, thisstudyseekstoevaluatewhile providingalternativepolicies for the development of Sekolah Satu Atap Terpadu in Purwakarta regency. The data inthis study were obtained by filling out questionnaires by respondents online through Google Form,where respondents were actors who were directly involved in the implementation of a SekolahSatu Atap Terpadu. From the analysis results obtained Strengths and Threats occupy the highestvalue. Strengths include students could continue their education up to junior high school level andlocal government supports both in terms of budget and curriculum. While Threats, among others,school management has become more complex and the delegation of authority from the central andregional governments is not clear. Therefore, the ST strategy can be used as an alternative policyin increasing Strengths and minimizing Threats.Keywords: Sekolah Satu Atap Terpadu; SWOT Analysis; Analytic Network Process (ANP).

This article deals with Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning technology innovation at the junior high school level. The focus of the problem studied is related to what is innovation, technology and how is PAI's learning technology innovation at junior high school level. The results showed that the form of PAI learning technology innovation at junior high school level included; educational innovation, technology, learning technology, development of learning technology, web-based learning (e-learning), as well as the internet as a source of learning with an approach to developing inquiry and discovery learning methods. The effectiveness of this learning technology innovation makes the subject matter more understood by students, because the material from teaching material is discovered and practiced by students themselves. While the response of students is very enthusiastic and positive. The weakness of this learning technology innovation is that there are obstacles in operating learning technology because not all students have a representative media in implementing technology-based learning (online).

This chapter explores the various ways in which opposing and/or contradictory entities unfold and play out with regard to change in organizations. This is undertaken from two different viewpoints. First, from a micro-phenomenological perspective it examines how insights derived from critical theory and other critical traditions have influenced the development of change strategies, interventions, and techniques. Second, at a more macro-level, it explores the extent to which particular schools of thought with regard to organizational change and organization development (OD) have embraced and/or resisted, the inevitable and unavoidable critical challenges and opportunities presented by opposing agents, competing interests, conflicting entities, and contrasting meanings in organizations. The chapter concludes by discussing the scope for, and possible directions of, critical change scholarship and practice in the future.
