A new method is proposed and equipment is developed for applying a polyamide antifriction coating to worn surfaces of parts. Its use with a machine tool with NC implements the principle of additive technology. The composition of the polyamide composition was selected for the restoration of permanent joints, which ensure their protection against fretting corrosion and the required strength. Keywords: polyamide coating, additive technology, fretting corrosion, inner surface, modification. [email protected]

In this paper, a new method is presented for the identification of machine tool component errors. Firstly, the Non-Uniform Rational B-spline (NURBS) is established to represent the geometric component errors. The individual geometric errors of the motion parts are measured by laser interferometer. Then, the volumetric error for a machine tool with three motion parts is modeled based on the screw theory. Finally, the simulations and experiments are conducted to confirm the validity of the proposed method.

Traditional method of buoy gauge design is rather complicated, so an advanced method by building and solving fluid mechanics equations is proposed in this paper. The curve of the taper pipe inner surface is calculated, according to different buoy gravity and diameter. In order to examine the effect of this improved method, an experiment is carried out. Results show that linear property of the buoy gauge improved by new method is excellent.

The disadvantage of the known methods of hardening springs is the impossibility of their use when hardening springs of a conical shape or of a shape of a paraboloid of rotation, since they are intended only for cylindrical shape springs and are not suitable for conical shape springs or those of a shape of a paraboloid of rotation specifically because of the difference in the shape of the springs. One of the disadvantages of the known springs hardening mechanisms is the impossibility of hardening the inner surface of the conical compression springs. A new method of hardening springs is proposed, the unmatched advantage of which is the ability to create plastic deformations on the inner and outer surfaces of the spring coils compressed to contact and on the surfaces along the line of contact between the coils. A new advantageous mechanism for hardening springs is proposed, which makes it possible to harden the inner surface of compression springs having a conical shape or a paraboloid shape of rotation, in a compressed state.

A new method is presented for advanced manufacture of hypoid gears on numerical controlled machine tool. The tool geometry and machine tool settings are determined to introduce the optimal tooth modifications into the teeth of hypoid gears. The goal is to reduce the maximum tooth contact stresses, angular displacement error of the driven gear, and energy losses in the oil film existing between tooth surfaces. The calculation is based on the optimal variation of machine tool settings on the classical machine tool for hypoid gear manufacture. The novelty of the method is that during the machining process of teeth surfaces, the variation of machine tool settings on the cradle-type hypoid generator is conducted by polynomial functions of fifth-order. By an algorithm, this variation of machine tool settings is transferred to the numerical controlled machine tool for hypoid gear manufacture (hypoid generator). The obtained results have shown that by applying the optimal manufacture process, considerable reductions in tooth contact stresses and angular displacement errors of the driven gear, and a moderate reduction in energy losses were obtained. Therefore, by applying this new method in practice, advanced manufacture of hypoid gears on CNC hypoid generator is made possible, resulting improved operating characteristics of the hypoid gear pair.

In order to improve productivity and product quality and reduce cost, over the past many years, producers made great efforts to find the new method of chamfering. One of the methods is the chamfer milling cutter, on the milling machine tool. This method is suited for medium and small batch production. The tool life is long, the machining quality is stable. In this thesis, the principle of meshing between gear and the rake is applied. The chamfer miller design principle and calculation method is put forward.
