We describe a new genus record for Taiwan and a new species of the genusDromoceryxSchmidt-Goebel, 1846. We add to the known fauna and distribution of the genus with a description, habitus, genitalic images, as well as a geographic range map forDromoceryxnigrofovealissp. n.A revised key to all species of the genus is included.

A new genus and species, Unguitarsonemus paradoxus n. gen., n. sp. and a new species, Pseudotarsonemoides peruviensis n. sp. (Acari: Trombidiformes: Tarsonemidae), are described based on phoretic females collected on bark beetles Phloeotribus pilula and Ph. biguttatus, respectively, from Peru. A key to species of the genus Pseudotarsonemoides is provided.

AbstractAhnea keejeongi Park and Carlton (Coleoptera: Staphylinidae: Pselaphinae), a new genus and new species of New Zealand endemic beetle belonging to the supertribe Faronitae is described. Six previously described species are included to this genus and four species are synonymised as follow: Sagola dissonans Broun, 1921 and S. planicula Broun, 1921 under Ahnea ventralis (Broun, 1912); S. carinata Broun, 1912 and S. lineiceps Broun, 1921 under Ahnea lineata (Broun, 1893). A key to species, habitus photographs, line drawings of diagnostic characters, and distribution maps are provided.

Abstract Chiggers of the genus Parasecia Loomis parasitize birds, mammals, and reptiles in the Nearctic and Neotropical regions. In the present review, we examined 18 species previously included in the genus, 15 of them being retained in the genus Parasecia, one genus is created, Nahuacarus bulbocalcarn. gen. (Trombidiformes: Trombiculidae), and new combinations are proposed for two species: Lorillatum lasiurusn. comb. and Lorillatum orphanan. comb. (Trombidiformes: Trombiculidae). In addition, Parasecia kansasensis (Loomis) (Trombidiformes: Trombiculidae) is synonymized with Parasecia gurneyi (Ewing) (Trombidiformes: Trombiculidae), Parasecia gilbetoin. sp. (Trombidiformes: Trombiculidae) is described and new locality and host records are added for Parasecia chara (Wharton), Parasecia longicalcar (Brennan and Jones), Parasecia manueli (Brennan and Jones), and Parasecia thalurania (Brennan) (Trombidiformes: Trombiculidae).

The Holarctic genus Agonochaetia is reviewed and a new species, Agonochaetia shawinigan Landry, sp. nov. is described from Québec, Canada. In addition, a new glandiductor-bearing genus and species, Canarischema fuerteventura Karsholt, gen. nov., sp. nov. is described from the Canary Islands. Comparative diagnoses, a key to species, illustrations of external aspect, male and female genitalia are provided for all species. Most species of Agonochaetia are rarely collected and known only from their types or from very few specimens. DNA barcodes are provided for four of the species from which DNA was recovered. Analysis of DNA barcodes suggests that Agonochaetia may be paraphyletic. Phylogenetic relationships to other Gnorimoschemini genera bearing a pair of glandiductors above the phallus are discussed.

The tribe Meconematini is a monophyletic and speciose group of slender and predatory katydids from the Indomalayan and Palearctic region (Mugleston et al., 2018). It is especially species-rich from the biodiverse regions of Southeast Asia (Cigliano et al., 2020) but also elusive, as many new species and genera are still being discovered from tropical Southeast Asia (e.g., Tan & Wahab, 2018a; Gorochov, 2019). As more material is accumulated, new understandings of how species are related and/or classified emerged. A species of Meconematini was first described from the primary dipterocarp forest of Kuala Belalong Field Studies Centre in Brunei Darussalam, Borneo among a few other related species (Tan et al., 2017, Tan & Wahab, 2018): Kuzicus mirabilis Tan & Wahab, 2018. This species exhibits the deep posteromedian notch of the last male tergite characteristics of Xiphidiopsis Redtenbacher, 1891 but differs by the presence of sclerotized yoke-like epiphallus, typical of Kuzicus Gorochov, 1993 (see Tan & Wahab, 2018a). A year later, A. V. Gorochov erected a new genus Cercoteratura Gorochov, 2019 based on a new species Cercoteratura variegata Gorochov, 2019 from Sumatra and Borneo (Gorochov, 2019). Three other species were also included in this genus, mainly from Sumatra and Thai-Peninsula. We found that the species from Brunei Darussalam could also belong to this genus and represent the eastern-most record of this genus. We provide a key to known species of Cercoteratura, although it is likely that this genus is more speciose than currently known. We also present a morphological comparison of the three similar genera Cercoteratura, Kuzicus and Xiphidiopsis.

Findings of a new representative of the Laophontodinae Lang, 1944 (Copepoda, Harpacticoida) from the Napoleon Reef (Gulf of Aqaba, Red Sea, Egypt) provided new insights into the systematics of the type genus Laophontodes T. Scott, 1894. Bicorniphontodes clarae gen. et sp. nov., which is described in the present contribution, shares exclusively six derived characters with Laophontodes bicornis A. Scott, 1896, L. horstgeorgei George & Gheerardyn, 2015, and partly with L. hamatus (Thomson, 1883), and L. ornatus Krishnaswamy, 1957: (1) cephalothorax medio-laterally with triangular extensions and (2) postero-laterally with paired cuticular processes, (3) free body somites except telson dorsally with hyaline frills ending in rounded lappets, (4) furcal setae I and II displaced subapically, (5) antennar allobasis lacking abexopodal seta on endopodal half, (6) outer spines of the last segment of swimming legs 2 and 3 unipinnate and comb-like, with the pinnae being extremely long and set widely apart. Thus, the named species are excluded from Laophontodes and united together with B. clarae gen. et sp. nov. in Bicorniphontodes gen. nov. as Bicorniphontodes bicornis comb. nov., B. hamatus comb. nov., B. horstgeorgei comb. nov., and B. ornatus comb. nov.. Beside the description of B. clarae gen. et sp. nov., a detailed phylogenetic discussion regarding the systematic relationships of the named species and the justification of the erection of Bicorniphontodes gen. nov. is given, including its distribution in the world’s oceans. A key to species is also provided.

Physospermopsis siamensis Esser & M.F.Watson is described as a new species from material collected in northern Thailand. This is the first record of Physospermopsis (Umbelliferae, Apiaceae) from Thailand, and represents a significant southern extension of the geographic range of this largely Sino-Himalayan genus. Comparison is provided with P. shaniana, its closest morphological ally, and the key to genera given in the Flora of Thailand account for Umbelliferae is revised.

Yelenka gen. nov. is established to accommodate two species initially described in the genus Nephopterix Hübner, [1825] 1816—Yelenka hastiferella (Ragonot, 1887) comb. nov. and Yelenka gengisella (Ragonot, 1893) comb. nov. Additionally, a new species Yelenka calciferella sp. nov. from Ukraine, Russia and Western Kazakhstan, and its mountain subspecies Yelenka calciferella uyghurica ssp. nov. from Eastern Kazakhstan and Mongolia are described. The new genus is placed into the subfamily Phycitinae. Yelenka gengisella (Ragonot, 1893) sp. rev. is taken out from synonymy with Myrlaea orcella (Ragonot, 1887). Yelenka gengisella and Y. hastiferella are redescribed based on type material and additional specimens. According to DNA barcode, Y. gengisella and Y. hastiferella are placed in the same BOLD BIN. However, these species exhibit pronounced morphological characters that clearly distinguish the two taxa on the species level. The lectotype is designated for Nephopteryx [sic] hastiferella Ragonot, 1887. Comparative diagnoses, a key to species, illustrations of external characters, also male and female genitalia are provided for all species.

Two new genera and four new species of Hemilophini are described from French Guiana: Guyarolea lalannecassoui, gen. nov., sp. nov.; Cendiunopsis garnieri, gen. nov., sp. nov.; Isomerida fourneti, sp. nov.; Lapazina arnaudi sp. nov. Differences between Isomerida albicollis (Laporte, 1840) and I. invicta Galileo & Martins, 1996, are commented. Phoebemima Tippmann, 1960 is transferred to Aerenicini, and a new species is described from French Guiana: P. durantoni, sp. nov. A new genus and new species of Calliini is described from French Guiana: Hemilophopsis simius, sp. nov. A key to species of Lapazina is provided. The three new genera and Phoebemima durantoni are included in previous keys.

AbstractLabopidea chloriza Uhler (1877) is synonymized with Tinicephalus simplex Uhler (1872). Labopidea brooksi n. sp. is described from Alberta and Saskatchewan. Orthotylus discolor Sahlberg, a European species now known to occur in North America, is transferred to Labopidea. Nine species currently placed in Labopidea are here removed from that genus. The new combinations are as follows: Labopidea atriseta Van Duzee is transferred to Hesperocapsus Knight, Orthotylus insignis Van Duzee is transferred to Ilnacorella Knight, Labopidea viridula Knight is transferred to Melanotrichus Reuter, and Labopidea utahensis Knight is synonymized with Diaphnidia heidemanni Knight (= Brachynotocoris heidemanni). Labopidicola n. gen. is described and Labopidea idahoensis Knight, L. planifrons Knight, L. ainsliei Knight, L. allii Knight, and L. geminata Johnston are transferred to it. Key to species of Labopidea is given.
