Abstract The major aim of this paper is to assess technical efficiency of private medical entities. Technical efficiency refers to the capacity of a medical entity to obtain the maximum output for a particular set of inputs. The article presents results of research study on technical efficiency of 33 medical entities using the Data Envelopment Analysis method (DEA) which allows the use of multiple inputs/outputs without imposing any functional form on data or making assumptions of inefficiency. The research study was carried out in years 2011–2016 on medical entities from Podkarpackie voivodship. The analysis was conducted based on the CCR input-oriented model.

This paper examines the efficiency performance of the Islamic banks that consist of 14 countries namely Bahrain, Bangladesh, Iran, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Malaysia, Pakistan, Qatar, Saudi, Tunisia, Turkey, UAE, and Yemen during the period of 2004-2011 with 44 Islamic banks involved. The efficiency estimates of individual banks are evaluated using the Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) approach. The empirical findings suggest that during the period of study, pure technical efficiency outweighs scale efficiency in the global Islamic banking sector implying that the Islamic banks have been managerially efficient in exploiting their resources to the fullest extent. The empirical findings seem to suggest that the global Islamic banks have exhibited high pure technical efficiency. During the period of study it is found that pure technical efficiency has greater influence in determining the total technical inefficiency of the Global Islamic banking sectors.

One of the ways to increase production was increasing technical efficiency. The purpose of this research was to analyze technical efficiency and factors that affected technical efficiency in Tinggimoncong District, Gowa Regency, South Sulawesi. This research used purposive sampling with 50 potatoes farmers. This study used Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) approach and Tobit regression for data analysis. The result of the study showed that there are 23 farmers of the respondents stated to be efficient or about 46 per cent of the total respondents studied. Factors that significantly influence the technical efficiency of potato farming were education and income outside of farming.

The study investigated the technical efficiency of rubber production in Thailand. Secondary data were collected from the Thai rubber plantations in four regions from 2005 to 2014 by using a three-stage data envelopment analysis (DEA) model. The DEA was used to evaluate the technical efficiency levels and to remove undesirable environmental impacts. Furthermore, the Malmquist productivity index was used to measure the changes in the rubber production efficiency and estimate the rubber productivity trend. The findings indicate that the efficiency scores obtained using adjusted inputs in stage 3 of the DEA approach were higher than the efficiency scores in stage 1 of the DEA approach. Moreover, the results also showed that the Northern region has the worst scores of technical efficiency and declination of productivity among the four regions. However, the technical performance of the Thai rubber production has shown a good performance, an upward productivity trend, and has demonstrated the advantages of the method used. Findings from the study could provide crucial information to farmers, the Thai government, and agricultural planners for formulating effective strategies or plans to improve their technology and efficiency levels.

To know the Performance of student’s university wise in state of Telangana. University wise Performances is presented along with technical efficiency, Pure Technical Efficiency, Scale Efficiency, CRS, VRS, Reference set and Peers. Measuring the Technical Efficiency (TE) and Pure Technical Efficiency (PTE) of the universities by CCR, BCC Model through DEA approach.
