This research paper discusses about the application of Web-Based Geographical Information System (GIS), an ICT tool for electronic business; particularly through Internet, with a future plan to develop e-promotion and strategic marketing by implementing Web GIS tools for Geobusiness. In the context of e-business, this present study penetrates the usage of GIS to disseminate maximum level of information to the customers. On the other hand, it depicts the growing incorporation of GIS in target marketing, business management, and strategic decision-making processes. It discusses how this modern Geospatial Information Technology (GIT) tool is used for collecting and analyzing information for the efficient and effective management and promotion of e-commerce. Geographical Information System (GIS) is the fundamental science and technology for Geo Design, a systematic methodology of Geographic planning and decision making. Web GIS is the modern technology for capturing, storing, retrieving, mapping and analyzing spatial and non-spatial geographical data in the digital format over the internet. It provides all the GIS functions over the Web, these functions can, in turn, be applied in various sectors of e-business. This paper highlights on the technical aspects of Web GIS for strategic planning, daily business operations, supply chain management, marketing, customer service, improving efficiency and attaining competitive advantage for business organizations.

The design of a Web-geographical information system, Web-GIS (Worboys & Duckham, 2004; Zhong Ren & Ming Hsiang, 2003), strongly requires methodological and operational tools for dealing with information distributed in multiple, autonomous and heterogeneous data sources, and a uniform data publishing methodology and policy over Internet Web sites. In this article we describe the experience of the Politecnico di Milano group in the activities of requirement analysis and conceptual design of the DEAFIN Web-GIS (Schreiber et al., 2003), whose objective is to provide a common environment for comparison of information about available vacant industrial sites coming from different regional data sources. Heterogeneity and Web availability requirements have been taken into account in the system architecture design; the system is thus conceived as a federated Web-based information system, apt to manage and provide access to all the regional relevant information in an integrated and complete fashion. Furthermore, since the data available by a given region partner can be both spatial and alphanumeric, a Web-GIS is defined for each regional component system.

The purpose of this research is to know the geographic information system of tourism that is in Dinas Kepemudaan dan Olahraga dan Pariwisata Kebumen Regency and develop it Research methods used by doing observationin Dinas Kepemudaan dan Olahraga dan Pariwisata Kebumen Regency, then proceed with the system development method. the research method used is by the method of SDLC (System Development Life Cycle). By using the Software Notepad ++ to build tourism Geographical Information System web-based. PHP as a programming language, MySQL as the database server and the design of the map using the Google Maps API. The object-oriented approach that is used UML (Unified Modeling Language) can explain the flow of the existing system. Dinas Kepemudaan dan Olahraga dan Pariwisata Kebumen Regency has been doing promotion through mass media such as newspapers and brochures in the delivery of information. But the way is not enough to inform tourism and places of attractions. It is therefore through the design of Geographical information system of tourism was able to resolve the issue. After the results of the study of geographic information systems is expected delivery of tourism information becomes more widespread, and the tourists could be quick and precise in finding information a tourist want to visit.

Abstract. As evidenced by the EU Floods Directive (2007/60/EC), flood management strategies in Europe have undergone a shift in focus in recent years. The goal of flood prevention using structural measures has been replaced by an emphasis on the management of flood risks using non-structural measures. One implication of this is that it is no longer public authorities alone who take responsibility for flood management. A broader range of stakeholders, who may experience the negative effects of flooding, also take on responsibility to protect themselves. Therefore, it is vital that information concerning flood risks are conveyed to those who may be affected in order to facilitate the self-protection of citizens. Experience shows that even where efforts have been made to communicate flood risks, problems persist. There is a need for the development of new tools, which are able to rapidly disseminate flood risk information to the general public. To be useful, these tools must be able to present information relevant to the location of the user. Moreover, the content and design of the tool need to be adjusted to laypeople's needs. Dissemination and communication influences both people's access to and understanding of natural risk information. Such a tool could be a useful aid to effective management of flood risks. To address this gap, a Web-based Geographical Information System, (WebGIS), has been developed through the collaborative efforts of a group of scientists, hazard and risk analysts and managers, GIS analysts, system developers and communication designers. This tool, called "READY: Risk, Extreme Events, Adaptation, Defend Yourself", aims to enhance the general public knowledge of flood risk, making them more capable of responding appropriately during a flood event. The READY WebGIS has allowed for the visualization and easy querying of a complex hazard and risk database thanks to a high degree of interactivity and its easily readable maps. In this way, READY has enabled fast exploration of alternative flood scenarios or past calamitous events. Combined also with a system of graphic symbols designed ad hoc for communication of self-protection behaviors, it is believed READY could lead to an increase in citizen participation, informed discussion and consensus building. The platform has been developed for a site-specific application, i.e. the Basilicata Region, Italy, has been selected as pilot application area. The goal of the prototype is to raise citizen awareness of flood risks, and to build social capacity and enhanced resilience to flood events.

The Geographical Information Systems technology is used in many fields where the spatial information is very important and relevant, that means in all fields that use a system for saving, analyzing and representing the data which are processed. The aim of this paper is using modern technology for monitoring the environment. Geographical Information System together with remote sensing have a very important role in decision process regarding the environment. Integration of remote sensing images in a Geographical Information System which enables complex spatial analysis is a useful and modern solution for environmental management and decision-making process. Satellite images contain various information that can support environmental monitoring, images that can be analyzed and interpreted in various ways by using the Geographical Information System tools.
