Abstract Today, the technology of automatic battery charging based on Wireless Power Transfer (WPT) for the electric mass transit industry involving electric trains, buses and trams, is being used more and more. The modern solution described in this paper proposes an innovative technology for mixed charging of electric buses, either by wireless charging for 2-3 minutes in selected stations, or by plug-in charging at the end of the bus line, which results in only minimal energy storage on board - practically enough to get to the next charging station. The reduction of the weight of the battery packs determines the increase of the number of passengers transported, but also a reduction of the purchase price of the bus, without reducing the performances. The conversion can cost about half the price of new electric buses, depending on the condition of the vehicle and the extent of the work. This solution can be applied especially for the conversion of Diesel buses into electric buses which is not only sustainable, but also significantly better in terms of investment and operational costs, comparing with the purchase of new electric buses.

Abstract Introduction. In modern dentistry the oral rehabilitation of patients with the help of dental implants has a very high success rate. However, the problem is the situation of patients with serious chronic diseases in which the insertion of dental implants is problematic or dental procedures can complicate or aggravate the patients’ disease. Case report. We presented the case of a patient with associated chronic diseases who benefited from the insertion of implants with a nanostructured surface. The nanotube surface of the dental implant has been loaded with anti-inflammatory drugs to promote healing and stimulate the process of osteogenesis. Conclusions. Within the limitations of this study, we consider the therapy with avant-garde nanostructured dental implants to represent a viable treatment option for patients with a medical history with complicated chronic diseases.

Abstract The paper focuses on the possibilities of rainwater flow control in an innovative rainwater system which is equipped with a retention canals system. Sewage retention canal is a modern solution that provides effective retention of excess rainwater by using a capacity of sewer pipes and manholes. The retention is possible by using special damming partitions which have flow openings. The hydraulic working of the traditional rainwater system and the innovative rainwater system were compared with each other. The analysis was based on the results obtained from simulations using hydrodynamic modeling. Maximum possible values of rainwater outflow intensity from outlet nodes for the traditional rainwater system and the innovative rainwater system were discussed. On the basis of the analysis it was shown that the innovative rainwater system outweighs the classic rainwater one. It discharges two functions: transports and simultaneously retains excess rainwater in canals.

In the first part of the paper the author presents the key theses of Vickie Sullivan’s‎reading of Machiavelli. Sullivan argues that, in order to prevent corruption,‎Machiavelli innovatively reworks elements of Christian teaching‎for entirely temporal purposes and offers a specific, modern solution, ‘new‎Rome’, in the form of an irreligious, fearful republic which early and effectively‎punishes the ambitious few seeking to establish tyranny. In the internal‎realm of the city, the Florentine reduces class desires of the plebs and the‎greats under the common goal of acquisition. A bellicose, tumultuous republic‎satisfies the desires of all the social actors, resulting in a lasting political order.‎In the second part the author critically engages with Sullivan’s interpretation,‎drawing on Claude Lefort’s interpretation of Machiavelli. Surprisingly,‎Lefort’s groundbreaking work on Machiavelli has been absent in Straussian‎readings of the Florentine. By highlighting the authentically democratic nature‎of Machiavelli’s project, in contrast with Sullivan’s reading, an entirely‎different ‘new Rome’ arises on the horizon.

Aim of the study was to highlight the benefits, barriers and methodology pertaining to effective patient counselling. The modern-day patient is well informed and well aware of patient rights. The need of the hour is to implement management plans jointly agreed upon based on both scientific evidence and patient preference by proper patient counselling. The process of counselling represents a well-founded intervention made of a quality interaction between the counsellor and the patient. Effective communication is advantageous for both healthcare professionals in the form of a comprehensive medico legal document, as well as for the patient as it tends to allay fear of treatment, dissipate misconceptions garnered from half-baked knowledge off the internet, cementing a bond of trust between the two. Counselling forms should carry information pertaining to the details regarding the patient’s disease, treatment options, pros and cons with aids in the form of pictures, models and videos. Ample time should be spent on the patient’s doubts, without the use of medical jargons. Barriers to effective communication include physical, psychological, administrative or time conflicts. Upliftment from the quick sands of barriers to patient communication requires the introduction of a curriculum laying emphasis on sound communication skills right from the undergraduate stage. Furthermore, internet can be used to aid counselling in the form of legit informative portals wherein patients are able to gather correct information about their disease and prognosis as is the case with online healthcare communities.

Disposable diapers are the modern solution to keep babies' skin dry and clean since they are efficient, a single diaper can keep a baby clean and dry for up to eight hours and they are effective due to the manufacturing materials that are waterproof, flexible, resistant and highly absorbent. While these are advantages to the layered design of the disposable diaper, they become barriers that prevent degradation. In Mexico, 14% of the solid waste generated corresponds to this waste. In the present work, a systematic and exhaustive review is made of the trends, regulations, and regulations that govern the commercialization and possible improvements to the disposable diaper considered a product whose usability is highly accepted and disseminated. The foregoing to prospect the development of this product and orient it towards a more sustainable future to manage the relevant innovations and changes in the regulations that correspond to disposable diapers in the framework of development: social, economic, and environmental that raises the 2030 agenda.

The evolutions of the business practice to a more frequent utilisation of general standard terms have determined the emergence of special legal provisions aiming to solve the problems generated by this new reality as regards the formation and the content of contracts. It is the case for the Art. 1202(4) of the Romanian Civil Code, a text which imposes a modern solution to the battle of forms issue. Since the application of the traditional mirror image rule presents serious inconveniences when the parties are using general standard clauses (aspect approached in the first part of the article), the legislator took them into account and in 2011 he reacted by aligning the internal legal solutions to those largely followed in comparative and international law; the new rule – the elimination of the standard contradictory clauses / the knock out solution – is scrutinized in the second part of the article, which address in a more detailed manner the aspects of its application and functioning.

In modern mechanical engineering, transmissions with the use of an involute tooth profile are widespread. However, one of the main disadvantages of these transmissions is that they exposure to wear. In this study, research on the cycloid profile is conducted as an alternative option. Cycloid profiles are one of the profiles applied to the teeth in order to transmit motion. Although cycloid profiles are mainly used in instrumentation, satellites are made of cycloid profile in planetary gears. Cycloid profile teeth are less exposed to wear during operation. Practically, the shape of cycloidal teeth does not allow them to break, so there is no bending deformation in the teeth. In planetary gear transmission, the satellites are usually made of a cycloid profile. Cycloid profile teeth are exposed to less wear. Currently, planetary gear reducers are widely used mainly in the oil industry, drilling equipments, in the lifting mechanisms, gearboxes, on chain conveyors, rotary tables, in robotics, manufacturing, mechanical and chemical engineering fields and so on. The increased load capacity of the cycloid pinion gears is due to the multi-pair contact surface and it has a superior adhesion profile than the involute profile. The loading schemes of cycloidal and evolvent profile teeth shows that the normal force in contact Fn and its dangerous section on the tooth of the cycloidal profile is much less than in the case when the tooth has an involute profile. This is due to the fact that with cycloid profile transmission the number of teeth simultaneously transmitting the load is significantly greater than when implementing the same transmission with involute teeth. Cycloid profile gear reducers can be considered as a modern solution to current requirements such as high efficiency, smooth and quiet work, ability to accept short-term maximum loads, small overall size, minimum technical requirements etc. The simulation of the real load conditions and interference generated during the rotation of the shaft was developed in Solidworks in order to determine the contact stresses and the contact areas resulting from these stresses of the teeth of the gear and satellites of cycloid profile planetary gear reducers. This simulation determines the values of the teeth involved in the contact, the interference of those teeth, the contact areas and the contact stresses generated in these areas, depending on the angle of rotation of the shaft. The profile of the proposed teeth allows to achieve the minimum size with the maximum transmission ratio. Keywords: cycloid profile, cycloid transmission, planetary reducer, interference, simulation, contact area.
